Golfers are rated for their scoring abilty on Par 3, Par 4 and Par 5 holes. They are also rated for their skill in putting, driving, scrambling, and fairway play. They are also rated for their overall play in early rounds as well as in pressure situations when the tournament is on the line.
Each course is individually rated for difficulty during each round of play as well as scoring during each round.
