I am about to replay the 1983 USFL Season with GWD. I made some scoring charts to be able to assign individual scoring for a layer of "stats". Looking forward to this! Follow along and list your favorite team. I liked the Generals because of Walker from the Bulldogs of UGA. However, I seemed to like a lot of different teams from the USFL era whereas my NFL loyalties were really limited to the Atlanta Falcons. I'm kind of like that with hockey as I seem to have several "favorite" teams. This will be fun.

Boston Breakers 31 Tampa Bay Bandits 23
*Breakers QB Johnnie Walton was the man of the day as he threw for 3 touchdowns and ran for another.
*In typical Spurrier fashion, two QBs played for the Bandits with each throwing one touchdown.
Boston Breakers 3-21-0-7= 31
Tampa Bay Bandits 7-10-3-3= 23
*Breakers are 1-0

*Greg Landry throws 2 TDs for Blitz while Tim Spencer adds another TD on the ground
*Joe Gilliam with a TD toss late in the first half sent the Federals into the half trailing just 14-7

Oakland Invaders 7 Arizona Wranglers 3
*Defensive battle!
*Wranglers picked off the Invaders and mounted a late drive to try and win the game but were turned away on a 4th down attempt on the final drive of the game

*Denver overcomes 2 interceptions in the 3rd quarter to score 2 TDs in the 4th quarter to shock Stars

*Panthers build up lead behind 2 TD passes by Hebert
*Stallions turned it over on downs on their last minute drive

Week 1 Complete and Here's the Week 2 Schedule & What to Look For
*Chicago Blitz (1-0) at Arizona Wranglers (0-1)
Blitz are coming off a strong showing vs. the Federals where they only allowed 7 points. Wranglers O needs to figure some things out as they only managed a field goal in a hard fought loss to Oakland in week 1.
*Michigan Panthers (1-0) at Tampa Bay Bandits (0-1)
Both teams are coming off of tight ball games. Coach Steve Spurrier and Bandits will not want to start the season in an 0-2 hole.
*Birmingham Stallions (0-1) at Oakland Invaders (1-0)
This should be a tight game. Stallions may need it more than Invaders but have to make the trip out west.
*Boston Breakers (1-0) at Denver Gold (1-0)
Gold look to cash in on a second straight home game and the momentum from besting the Stars in week 1. Boston's Johnnie Walton set the league on fire in week 1 with 3 TD passes and a TD run
*New Jersey Generals (1-0) at Philadelphia Stars (0-1)
New Jersey would love to put the Stars in an 0-2 hole. Coach Mora's "dynasty in the making" will be looking to get to 1-1
*Washington Federals (0-1) at L.A. Express (0-1)
Both teams did not impress in Week 1 with the Federals looking like the weaker of the two.
