Congratulations to Coach Bill Belichick and the 2017 New England Patriots!
I'll share a couple of brief thoughts before wrapping up the thread. While I enjoyed Ultra-Quick Football for what it is, there are a couple of minor faults with it. First, I found the results to be very random, and the instant result nature hurt many teams. Even if you pit the worst team and the best team against each other, if the best team gets a bad roll they're done for. This is why, for instance, the Browns managed to win a game in this replay when they didn't in real life. Also, unlike Final Score, the numerical ratings don't seem to be tied to the team's real life performance. In UQ Football, the outcome of the game appears to be up to pure luck.
Regardless, I enjoyed the replay and I hope everyone who followed liked it too. Special thanks goes to GV for the inspiration, Chris Creamer for the logos, the Gridirion Uniform Database for the uniforms, and The Helmet Project for the helmet graphics. As of the day I'm posting this, pro sports in the US are set to start back up in the coming weeks, let's hope they're here to stay. That's it for now, so long from 2017! |
