Announcers: Rod Trongard & Lord James Blears
Ring Announcer: Larry Nelson
Referees: Gary DeRusha & Marty Miller

1. "The Polish Prince" Steve O (Olsonoski) over Tom "Rocky" Stone with the Airplane Spin at 2:37.

2. "Mr. Magnificent" Kevin Kelly (w/ Madusa Micelli) defeated Jake "The Milkman" Milliman via Count Out at 6:41. In OOR action, Kelly gave the Milkman a Low Blow on the floor while Madusa kept Referee Marty Miller distracted. Milliman could not make the subsequent ten count.

3. Candi Devine pinned Rockin' Robin with a High Flying Cross Body Press at 6:03.

4. Greg Gagne defeated Boris Zhukov (w/ Sheik Adnan El-Kaisee) at 8:42. El-Kaisee removed the padding from a corner turnbuckle behind Referee Gary DeRusha's back, but it was Gagne who capitalized on it but ramming the Russian's head into the exposed steel to gain the pinfall.

5. "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko (w/ Go the Ninja) over "Olympian" Brad Rheingans at 12:46. With Referee Marty Miller knocked down in the action, Zbyszko bashed Rheingan's from behind with Go's nunchucks. Miller recovered to crawl over and count the pin for Zbyszko.

6. "America's Hero" Sergeant Slaughter defeated "The Mercenary from South Africa" Colonel Debeers at 10:54. Debeers was in a heated argument with Referee Gary DeRusha when the Sarge snuck up from behind and slapped on the Cobra Clutch for the submission victory.

7. AWA Tag Team Title Match. The Champion Midnight Rockers (Marty Jannetty & Shawn Michaels) turned back the challenge of the former champs, The Pretty Playboys, ("Pretty Boy" Doug Somers & "Playboy" Buddy Rose w/ "Sensational" Sherri Martel) at 14:13. The Rockers pinned Somers with their "Rocker-plex" double team finisher (Michaels' Verticle Suplex with Jannetty's Diving Cross Body off the top rope) to retain their titles. Note - During the match introductions, Buddy Rose once again corrected Larry Nelson by insisting "I do not weigh 271 lbs, I weigh 217 lbs !" Rose then performed several one-armed pushups to prove that he was in shape.

AWA (Circa Mid to Late 80's) - Prairie Capital Convention Center, Springfiled, IL. Att: 9,411.

Announcers: Roger Kent & Verne Gagne
Ring Announcer: "Slick" Mick Karch
Referees: Robert Warren & Scott Ledoux

1. Leon "Baby Bull" White pinned Pete Sanchez with a Running Powerslam at 3:09.

2. The Wildman from Borger, TX, Stan "The Lariat" Hansen defeated "El Gordito" Nacho Berrera with his Western Lariat at 3:09. After the bout, Hansen added insult to injury by jabbing Berrera with his branding iron before exiting the ring.

3. "Yukon" John Nord over Teijo Khan (w/ Soldad Ustinov) at 9:03. With Referee Robert Warren knocked down in the action, Ustinov tried to sneak into the ring to help Teijo Khan but Nord was ready for him and gave the two men a Noggin Knocker. Nord then finished off Khan with a Big Flying Leg Drop after criss-crossing the ring several times. Warren recovered to make the three count.

4. TV Title Match. Champion Mr. Saito (w/ "Sheik" Adnan El-Kaisee) turned back the challenger, Paul "Hard Rock" Diamond, at 9:22. Diamond's former Badd Company tag team partner "Sensei" Pat Tanaka came down to ringside and immediately began jawing with Diamond. Saito took advantage of the distraction and planted Diamond with his Saito Suplex for the winning pinfall to retain the TV Title.

5. The Destruction Crew (Wayne "The Train" Bloom & "Mean" Mike Enos) defeated the team of "Olympian" Brad Rheingans & "Polish Prince" Steve Olsonoski at 11:11. Enos pinned Rheingans with a handful of tights after Bloom reached into the ring and tripped Brad from the floor as Rheingans was attempting to give "Mean" Mike a Verticle Suplex.

6. Billy Robinson over "Sheik" Ken Patera (w/ "Sheik" Jerry Blackwell & "Sheik" Adnan El-Kaisee) via Count Out at 12:51. Patera missed a charge at Robinson and crashed shoulder-first into the ring post during OOR action. Blackwell and El-Kaisee tried to roll the dazed Patera back inside the ring but it was not in time to make Referee Scott Ledoux's ten count.

7. In the Main Event, "America's Hero" Sergeant Slaughter defeated Blackjack Lanza (w/ Big, Bad Bobby Duncum & Eddie "The Brain" Creatchman) by DQ at 12:29. With Lanza caught in the Sarge's Cobra Clutch, Creatchman sent Duncum into the ring to attack Slaughter. Referee Robert Warren immediately signaled for the disqualification. Lanza and Duncum then proceeded to beat down the Sarge until Billy Robinson, Brad Rheingans and Steve O ran in to make the save.

Championship Wrestling from Florida Results (Circa Late 70's) - Fort Homer Hesterly Armory, Tampa, FL. Att: 6,128.

Announcers: Gordon Solie & Barbara Clary
Ring Announcer: Dr. Tom Miller
Referees: Scrappy McGowan, Bill Alphonso & Charley Laye

1. The House of Humperdink (Beautiful Beauregarde & Siegfried Stanke w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink) defeated the "Unofficial Mayor of Lake City" Bubba Douglas & Tiger Conway Jr. at 5:04. Humperdink was able to reach into the ring and trip Douglas as he was being whipped to the ropes. Stanke followed with a Knee Drop from the top rope onto the downed Douglas to gain the pinfall.

2. Ten minutes was not enough time to decide a winner in the contest between Paul Ellering & "Dirty" Don Serrano. Gordon Solie said that he had Ellering ahead on points but Referee Bill Alphonso declared the match a Draw.

3. Martial Arts expert & resident loose cannon Ron Slinker (w/ "Playboy" Gary Hart) was disqualified in his match against Sweet Brown Sugar for giving Referee Charley Laye a Karate Thrust to the throat at 6:16. Gary Hart may be regretting his decision to appeal Slinker's suspension after his man's actions here tonight. NWA President Bob Geigel suspended Slinker for a vicious attack several weeks ago that left Big Bill Dromo hospitalized. Dromo is still recovering from injuries sustained during the karate assault. Hart's appeal allowed Slinker to continue to wrestle until a decision was rendered from the hearing. Charley Laye had to be assisted to the back and did not return for the balance of tonight's card.

4. The Spoiler (w/ Spoiler II) defeated Steve Keirn at 8:30. The masked men pulled a quick switcheroo in the ring while Referee Scrappy McGowan was admonishing Steve Keirn for using a closed fist. Spoiler II then decked Keirn with a Loaded Head Butt for the pinfall. After the bell, Spoiler I applied his dreaded Clawhold on Keirn until Mike Graham raced in to make the save.

5. "Handsome" Harley Race put away the "All-American" Bob Roop with some crafty ring savy at 12:54. Roop was in a world of trouble when Race attempted to lift him up for a Piledriver, but the All-American was able to back drop out of it. The cagey Race hooked his opponent's hips on the way over, however, and pinned Roop with a Sunset Flip.

6. The Main Event between "Lumberjack" Jos Leduc (w/ Axe Handle) and Pak Song (w/ Sonny King) was ruled a "No Decision" by Referee Scrappy McGowan in an unusual ending at 9:49. The devious King was able to club Leduc over the back with his own Axe Handle while McGowan was being distracted by Pak Song. Song then made the cover for the apparent three count until Jimmy Garvin ran in from the back to alert the referee of what had transpired. Sonny King vehemently denied all charges and insisted that Song's hand be raised as the victor. Not knowing who to believe, McGowan threw the match out rather than declare a winner.

Championship Wrestling from Florida Results (Circa Late 70's) - Miami Beach Convention Center, Miami, FL. Att: 8,521.

Announcers: Gordon Solie & Buddy Colt
Ring Announcer: Jay Goodley
Referees: Don Curtis, Scrappy McGowan & "Coach" John Heath

1. The masked Mr. Uganda (w/ Sonny King) barely broke a sweat in his rather quick victory over Prince Tonga. Uganda put his opponent away with a Piledriver at 2:04.

2. Tiger Conway Jr. over Bryan St. John with a Flying Head Butt off the ropes at 4:37. St. John attacked before the bell to take the early advantage in this match as Conway was still in the process of taking off his ring robe, but a missed a corner charge moments later turned the tide in Tiger's favor. The Flying Head Butt was set up by a Drop Kick to the chops that nearly took St. John out of his boots.

3. Florida Champion Don Muraco (w/ Sonny King) beat Big Bill Dromo at 7:29 in a non title match. This was Dromo's first match back since suffering an injury at the hands of Ron Slinker over a month ago. Dromo showed no ill effects from the long lay off and even managed to deck Sonny King up on the apron, however Muraco capitalized on the moment by sneaking up from behind his opponent and cradling him for the three count.

4. Jim Garvin over John Boy Ruffin by DQ for outside interference at 5:53. Garvin was in control of the bout when Mr. Uganda and Don Muraco suddenly hit the ring and put a beating on him. Sonny King then came in and slapped Garvin across the face. The assault was no doubt ordered by King as retribution for Garvin coming to Jos Leduc's assistance during the lumberjack's feud with "The Family" in recent weeks.

5. Killer Karl Kox (w/ Lars Anderson) beat Jerry Brisco via Count Out at 14:31. Brisco was tossed out of the ring and clobbered from behind by Anderson with the mysterious bag of coins while Kox kept Referee Don Curtis occupied. Jerry was down and out for the ten count.

6. Florida Tag Team Title Match. A lot of bad blood here between the Spoilers I & II (Champions) and their challengers Steve Keirn & Mike Graham. This championship bout degenerated into a wild donnybrook with all four men throwing the rule book out the window and going at it toe-to-toe in the ring. Keirn had Spoiler II cradled in a Small Package at one point but Referee Scrappy McGowan had already thrown the match out and disqualified both teams at 11:49. The Spoilers retain the Florida Tag Team Titles.

Championship Wrestling from Florida Results (Circa Late 70's) Jai Alai Fronton, Ocala, FL. Att: 5,160.

Announcers: Gordon Solie & "Coach" John Heath
Ring Announcer: Barbara Clary
Referees: Sonny Myers, Frenchy Bernard & Buddy Colt

1. No one knew quite what to expect from the looney Bugsy McGraw including his manager Sir Oliver Humperdink as well as his masked opponent El Rayo. McGraw wrestled the entire match in his leather pilot's helmet and goggles often spreading his arms out and "flying" around the ring. Air McGraw came in for a landing with a Big Splash on El Rayo after a Backbreaker across the knee to gain the three count at 3:29.

2. Sweet Brown Sugar threw one Drop Kick too many in his loss to veteran Lars Anderson. The savvy Anderson was one step ahead of his opponent and managed to elude a second consecutive Drop Kick from Sugar and pounce on him for the pinfall at 7:44.

3. "Dirty" Don Serrano should know better than to turn his back on his opponent, especially if that opponent is one Jack Brisco. Right from the getgo, Serrano had his problems with Referee Frenchy Bernard. Serrano was giving the ref a piece of his mind when he was caught from behind in a Backslide by Brisco for the three count at 7:57.

4. Strongman Paul Ellering over Beautiful Beauregarde (w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink) via DQ at 8:30. Beauregarde blew a fuse and employed his notorious taped thumb to choke out Ellering on the mat. Referee Buddy Colt called for the bell when Beauregarde refused to break on his five count.

5. The team of Jim Garvin & "Lumberjack" Jos Leduc emerged victorious over Sonny King's Family members Florida Champion Don Muraco & Pak Song at 12:52. The bout regressed into complete mayhem with all four participants battling in the ring. Jim Garvin managed to roll up Muraco for the three count amidst all the chaos. It should be noted that while Muraco was the legal man at the time of the fall, Garvin was not. Referee Sonny Myers counted the pin anyway.

6. The Spoiler (w/ Spoiler II) over Blackjack Mulligan by Count Out at 23:10. This war spilled out of the ring and to the floor where both Spoilers combined to Body Slam Mulligan through the timekeeper's table. Referee Frenchy Bernard might have been justified in disqualifying the Spoiler but opted to issue the ten count on Mulligan instead. Blackjack could not make it back inside the ring in time.

Championship Wrestling from Florida (Circa Late 70's) Hollywood Sportatorium, Pembroke Pines, FL. Att: 11,643.

Announcers: Gordon Solie & Buddy Colt
Ring Announcer: Dr. Tom Miller
Referees: Bill Alphonso, Don Curtis & Frenchy Bernard

1. Mike Graham (w/ a TON of fan support) over Butch Cassidy (w/out the Sundance Kid) at 3:20. Cassidy mustered very little in the way of offense in this match and went down for the three count after a Swinging Neckbreaker from Graham.

2. Big Bill Dromo capitalized on mistake by his opponent to put Bryan St. John away at 6:02. St. John attempted a splash off the top rope but had his wind knocked out when he landed on Dromo's raised knees. St. John was easy pickins for the pin after his miscue.

3. Killer Karl Kox (w/ Mysterious Voices in His Head) & Lars Anderson (w/ Equally Mysterious Bag of Coins) beat the duo of Sweet Brown Sugar & Tiger Conway Jr. at 8:33. Tag Team Chaos with all four men battling in the ring and Referee Bill Alphonso desperately trying to restore order. Sugar came off the top rope with a Flying Cross Body Press onto Lars Anderson but the momentum of the maneuver put Lars on top for the three count. (Note: Kox was technically the legal man for his team at the time of the fall but Alphonso counted the pin anyway.)

4. The Assassin (Jody Hamilton) with trademark yellow mask and black trim beat Rocky Johnson via Count Out at 8:50. Rocky missed a charge at the Assassin OOR and crashed shoulder first into the ring post. Johnson writhed in pain on the floor as Referee Don Curtis laid the ten count on him.

5. King Curtis Iaukea (w/ Sonny King & Florida Champion Don Muraco) was disqualified in his match against "All-American" Bob Roop. There was nothing discreet about Iaukea's liberal use of some sort of sharp foreign object that he used to cut a gash across Roop's forehead and draw the DQ from Referee Frenchy Bernard. Roop bled profusely and had to be assisted to the back for immediate medical attention.

6. Jerry Brisco thought he had "Handsome" Harley Race right where he wanted him after Race had missed a Diving Head Butt off the top rope and found nothing but canvas. Brisco opted to go for the Figure Four Leglock instead of a pin cover and was cradled into a Small Package by the wily Race for the three count at 17:18. Your winner: "Handsome" Harley Race

3. The Repo Man (w/ Tow Hook & Rope and Cat Burglar Mask) beat Duke "The Dumpster" Droese (w/ Back Support Belt and Garbage Can) at 7:26. With Referee Joey Marella knocked down in the action, the Repo Man bashed Duke in the head with the lid to his own garbage can. Droese was seeing stars as Marella crawled over to count the pin on the KO'd trash man.

4. Harvey Whippleman's team of Well Dunn (Steven Well & Timothy Dunn) lost to the 1-2-3 Kid and his partner Bob "Spark Plugg" Holly at 5:06. Holly pinned Dunn with his Pit Stop Plunge (Diving Cross Body Press) off the top rope.

6. Razor Ramon (w/ Toothpick and Oozing Machismo) over looney Bob Backlund at 9:11. Ramon won the bout with his Razor's Edge (Crucifix Powerbomb ) but only after being saved by the ropes to escape Backlund's Crossface Chickenwing submission hold. After the match, Backlund inexplicably bolted out the Maple Leaf Garden's foyer and ran down Carlton Street in his tights screaming like a lunatic and halting traffic.

7. The Undertaker (w/ Paul Bearer and mysterious Urn) survived a pre-match sneak attack to defeat Jerry "The King" Lawler (w/ his personal dentist Dr. Isaac Yankem, DDS) by DQ at 12:51. Yankem ran into the ring to break up the Undertaker's pin attempt after The King fell victim to the Tombstone Piledriver. Referee Nick Kozak immediately called for the bell.

6. "Native American" Tatanka was counted out in his bout with the Berzerker (w/ Viking Helmet, Sword & Mr. Fuji) at 7:29. With both men battling OOR, the devious Fuji blinded Tatanka with a handful of ceremonial salt to the eyes. The Native American could not find his way back inside the ring in time to make the ten count.

7. In the Main Event, WWF World Champion Bret "The Hitman" Hart defeated Hakushi (w/ Manager Shinja) via Count Out in a non-title match at 9:12. As the action moved to the floor, Hart corralled Hakushi and his manager into a mighty Noggin Knocker that sent both men staggering. Hakushi was unable to shake out the cobwebs in time to make Referee Tim White's ten count.

2. Bodydonna Skip (w/ Sunny) beat Max Moon at 6:26. Max took a bad tumble after he was pushed off the top rope by Sunny while attempting a high-risk maneuver. Skip then followed up with a Missile Drop Kick off the top just as Max was getting back to his feet to score the pinfall.

3. "Supreme Fighting Machine" Kama (w/ "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase) over Bob "Spark Plugg" Holly via Count Out at 5:13. Holly was KO'd by a Million Dollar Belt smash OOR from Dibiase while Kama kept Referee Tim White occupied. Holly was down and out for the ten count.

4. Crush defeated Damien Demento by DQ at 6:32. Mike Chioda was tossed out of the ring by Demento to draw the disqualification after the ref tried to examine Damien's knee pad following a suspiciously effective Knee Drop on Crush.

5. WWF Tag Team Title Match. The challengers, "Double J" Jeff Jarrett & his Roadie beat the champs, the Smokin' Gunns (Billy & Bart Gunn) by DQ at 7:07. 3. Hakushi (w/ Shinja) beat the 1-2-3 Kid with a Slingshot Senton Splash into the ring from the apron at 6:51.

King's Court Segment

Jerry Lawler's guest was none other than Razor Ramon who came out to a huge pop from the crowd. Lawler proceeded to belittle his guest by inquiring if Razor's immigration paperwork was in order. Ramon did not take kindly to the remark, nor did he appreciate The King asking him to mow his lawn this coming weekend. Razor flicked his toothpick in Lawler's face and walked off the set.

4. "King of Harts" Owen Hart appeared to be in trouble when his opponent Adam Bomb caught his foot while Hart was attempting a Roundhouse Kick, however Owen turned it into an Enziguri to score the pinfall at 5:43.

5. Oozing machismo, Razor Ramon received a huge ovation during his ring entrance but his opponent Dr. Isaac Yankem, D.D.S. spoiled the party by pinning Ramon with help from Jerry Lawler at 7:49. Still steaming from being upstaged by Razor during his King's Court segment, Lawler saw an opening when Referee Bill Alphonso was knocked down in the action. The King left the announcers' table and crowned Razor from behind with his scepter just as Ramon was about to hoist Yankem up for the Razor's Edge. Ramon crumpled to the canvas and Yankem hooked a leg as Alphonso recovered to count the pin.

6. The team of "HBK" Shawn Michaels and his bodyguard "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel defeated Johnny Polo's Quebecers (Jacques & Pierre) at 8:30. Diesel pinned Jacques after Pierre accidently clocked his own partner with Johnny's polo mallet.

Smoky Mountain Results (Circa Early 90's) - Mid-South Coliseum, Memphis, TN. Att: 8,280.

Announcers: Bob Caudle & Ray Reeve
Ring Announcer: Phil Raney
Referees: Mark Curtis, Billy Spears & Jerry Calhoun

1. Barefoot "Country Boy" Cousin Roscoe Junior defeated Dale Veasey with a Mule Kick to the jaw off the ropes at 4:34.

2. Former Smoky Mountain TV Champ Jerry Oates was counted out by Referee Mark Curtis in his match against "Ravishing" Randy Rose at 8:32. The reigning Television Champion, the Dirty White Boy, joined the broadcast table to provide guest commentary for the bout and baited Oates into a confrontation on the floor.

3. Norvell Austin took advantage of an unexpected distraction to defeat Ricky Gibson at 6:45. For the second time in as many weeks, a match was interrupted by the appearance of Memphis, Tenneesee's own Jerry "The King" Lawler who inexplicably entered the ring while the Austin/Gibson bout was still in progress. Lawler motioned for a timeout as he entered the squared circle, waved to his adoring fans and then proceeded to shake hands with Referee Jerry Calhoun, followed by Norvell Austin and finally Ricky Gibson. Austin seized the moment with a Schoolboy Roll Up on Gibson during the final handshake. Lawler was oblivious to the fact that his actions had just cost Gibson the match and continued to bask in the adoration of his fans. After the bout, the King was called over to the broadcast table by Bob Caudle.

Caudle: "Jerry, it's great to have you with us once more, but your entrances.... well, they're quite unexpected to say the least, and they seem to disrupt the concentration of the wrestlers in the ring and...

Lawler: "No need to thank me, Bob. I owe it to my fans to acknowledge their support when they greet me with such love and affection."

Caudle: "But Jerry, we saw Porkchop Cash get pinned last week and now Ricky Gibson.... they were distracted when you..."

Lawler: Was Norvell Austin distracted, Bob ? Was Bill Ash ? No. Let me tell you why. They're seasoned veterans who know better than to let their guard down in a wrestling ring unlike the two other men you just mentioned."

Caudle: "Jerry, our studio has just been flooded with mail regarding the Hammerlock incident last week with Johnny Rich and..."

Lawler laughs. "My fans, what can I say, Bob ? I get sacks of mail from them every single day and I answer each and every letter that they send me."

Caudle: "Yes, well, most of these letters..."

Lawler: ".... wished to thank me for showing them the proper application of a Hammerlock. Yes, I know, Bob. The average person at home, just like that country bumpkin Johnny Rich for example, don't know the correct technique for the various holds of our craft. It was my pleasure to educate them last week."

Caudle: "But Johnny Rich was embarrassed when...

Lawler: "He ought to be embarrassed ! Better yet, the man who trained him should be embarrassed ! Heck, I was embarrassed for him ! Did you see that so called pathetic excuse of a Hammerlock he tried to apply to Phil Hickerson ? It was downright disgraceful. Bob, I'd really love to stay and chat some more but I have some important business to attend to in the back. Thank you for having me !"

Caudle: "There you have it. Jerry "The King" Lawler, Ladies and Gentlemen."

Lawler gets a nice ovation as he heads backstage but there is a noticeable smattering of boos mixed in.

4. Smoky Mountain Television Title Match. The Dirty White Boy (w/ Dirty White Girl Kimberly) successfully retained his title by disqualification due to outside interference over his challenger Hector Guerrero at 7:40. Jerry Oates returned to ringside with tunnel vision and made a beeline for the ring where he pummeled the Dirty White Boy in a barrage of punches. Oates then applied his Spinning Toe Hold as the DWB writhed on the mat in agony. Kimberly raced in and bashed Oates in the back of the head with the TV Title Belt to break the hold. The Dirty White Boy limped to the back supported by Kimberly as the ringside physician attended to Oates.

Backstage Segment

Tommy "Wildfire" Rich is furious and frantically searching for Jerry Lawler to give him a piece of his mind. "Superstar" Bill Dundee is with him and trying to calm him down. They hear laughter coming from a room down the hall and peek inside. The room is smoky and boisterous with clinking beer bottles and bursts of laughter. There is a poker game going on with Jerry Lawler and his friends. We see Jimmy Golden. We see Phil Hickerson and Robert Fuller. There are two other players in the back but we can't quite make them out amidst the dim lighting and cigar smoke. One of them appears to have some sort of brace on his right arm. Hickerson wins the pot and reaches in for the money on the table. Jimmy Golden jumps up, grabs Hickerson's arm and applies a mock Hammerlock. Everyone has a good laugh at Johnny Rich's expense. Everyone, that is, except Tommy Rich who has to be restrained by Dundee. Lawler is puffing away on a cigar and invites Tommy and Dundee to pull up a chair and join the game for the next hand. Wildfire storms off with Bill Dundee in pursuit. We hear another loud burst of laughter from the poker game.

5. In a special return match ordered by Smoky Mountain Commissioner "Bullet" Bob Armstrong, the Junk Yard Dog and "Dirty" Dick Slater were both disqualified by Referee Mark Curtis at 12:41. There was not a wrestling hold to be seen in this bloody rematch as both men grabbed objects from JYD's junk cart at ringside and savagely bludgeoned one another. The carnage continued well after the bell had rung as officials and wrestlers alike filled the ring to separate the combatants.

6. Tag Team Grudge Match. In an unusual ending, the team of Smoky Mountain Champion "Superstar" Bill Dundee & Tommy "Wildfire" Rich were disqualified by Referee Billy Spears due to a technicality in their match against the Kansas Jayhawks ("Dirty" Dutch Mantel & "Hangman" Bobby Jaggers) at 12:46. Jaggers was on rubber legs and taking a beating from Dundee when Tommy Rich leapt off the top rope with a spectacular Thesz Press that absolutely flattened the Hangman. Spears made the three count and the Coliseum erupted in cheers. Mantel was vehemently protesting the decision with Spears when they were suddenly joined in the ring by Referee Jerry Calhoun and Jerry Lawler who had come from the back. After a brief conference, Spears abruptly reversed his decision and awarded the match to the Jayhawks on the grounds that Rich was not the legal man in the ring for his team at the time.

Dundee and Rich were incredulous, as were the fans who pelted the ring with debris. Jerry Lawler implored the crowd for quiet over the house microphone and tried to restore order.

Lawler: "Now hold on... hold on, folks, please.... Billy, Tommy... hear me out now. Let's get this thing right, okay ? I've known you both for a long time and I know that neither of you are cheaters. I know that you would never break the rules to win a match and I know that you would never want to win a match illegally like this. Tommy, you weren't the legal man, plain and simple. I know that you get all excited and fired up sometimes and you probably just forget to tag in before you came off that top rope onto Bobby like that, but let's be fair, here, okay ? The rules are the rules."

Bob Caudle has given Tommy Rich a microphone as Wildfire gets right up into Lawler's face. There's an awkward silence and the fans don't know who's side to take in all this.

Rich: "Jerry Lawler, you call yourself the "King" of wrasslin'. Well, I don't know 'bout that. Are you the King because of that that goofy crown and robe you wear all the time like a Halloween costume ? Billy Dundee, he's the champ and he's got the gold belt 'round his waist to prove it. I got a lotta respect for what you done in this here business, Lawler, but that don't mean I gotta like you. You showed up my Cousin Johnny last week and I don't take kindly to that, and you go stickin' your nose in our match here tonight all high and mighty like about the rules and regulations and what not, passin' down verse and scripture about what's right and what's wrong. Well, who made you the boss 'round here ? We don't need your kind in Smoky Mountain. We was doin' just fine without you. Why don't you go back to your good ol' boys in the back and your card game and leave the wrasslin' to us !"

Some cheers. Some boos. The fans are on the fence about this confrontation.

Lawler: "Wrestling."

Rich: "Come again ?"

Lawler: "Wrestling. The word is 'wrestling' not 'wrasslin', you uneducated hillbilly."

Another smattering of boos from the crowd.

Rich: "You makin' fun of me, boy?"

Bill Dundee quickly steps in between the two before the situation can escalate. Lawler takes the high road and calmly exits the ring but Tommy is still hot under the collar.

Rich: "You gonna teach me how to talk proper like you done taught Johnny about Hammerlocks, Lawler ??"

Lawler just keeps right on walking to the back with a big smile on his face. Bob Caudle and Ray Reeve are speechless as the program goes off the air. Like the fans, they don't know what to make of all this.

1. "Wildcat" Wendell Cooley debuted in grand style with a victory over "Outlaw" Joel Deaton at 4:20. Cooley scored the pinfall with a Diving Cross Body Press from the top rope.

Interview Segment with Bob Caudle and Smoky Mountain TV Champion the Dirty White Boy along with Dirty White Girl Kimberly in daisy dukes and a tank top.

The DWB is sporting a ripped up T-shirt of a confederate flag and the slogan "Rednecks & Longnecks". The TV Title Belt is draped over his shoulder and he holds his valet in the crook of his arm. Caudle wants to know if former TV Champ Jerry Oates will get a rematch. DWB completely ignores the question and talks instead about all the nice new "furnishins" he's going to buy for their trailer which makes Kimberly very giddy indeed. Caudle persists about Oates and is cut off by the Champ's temper, "I'm done with that clown, unnastan ?" The trio is then joined by Smoky Mountain Commissioner "Bullet" Bob Armstrong who reminds the DWB that he decides if there'll be a rematch with Oates or not. Armstrong says there's a lot of guys who want a crack at the title but Oates will get his chance next week. Kimberly has to restrain her man from getting his hands on the Commissioner. There are some heated words but Armstrong remains adamant about his decision as the segment ends.

2. "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton (w/ Jim Cornette) over Brad Armstrong in a flat out pure wrestling match of holds and counter holds much to the fans surprise and delight. Eaton countered Brad's Russian Leg Sweep into a Back Suplex and then finished off his opponent with a Swinging Neckbreaker for the three count at 7:44.

Backstage Segment

Jerry "The King" Lawler and his "Good Ol' Boys" (Phil Hickerson, Robert Fuller, Jimmy Golden and two new faces to Smoky Mountain, "Mr. Perfect" Jerry Stubbs and Colonel Buck Robley) are once again gathered around a poker table playing cards in a back room. Still fuming from the humiliating "Hammerlock Incident" on national TV a few weeks back, Johnny "Crash" Rich bursts into the room and points a finger at The King. "I want a match, Lawler - one on one - you and me are gonna settle this thing !!" The room erupts in laughter. Johnny is not amused and dumps over the table scattering cards, beer bottles and poker chips in every direction. Lawler holds back his boys and issues a warning to Rich, "Be careful of what you wish for, kid, because you just might get it." Johnny is unfazed by the King's threat,"You and me next week, Lawler !!" and storms off down the hall.

3. Charismatic newcomer "Hustler" Rip Rogers brought both his valet Miss Brenda Britton and his cheating ways to Smoky Mountain with a win over Ric McCord. Miss Brenda introduced McCord to her loaded purse when Referee Jerry Calhoun's back was turned and Rogers immediately pounced on his KO'd opponent for the pinfall at 6:07.

4. Johnny "Crash" Rich over "Wild" Bill Ash by DQ the hard way at 4:31. Johnny was dominating the match when Jerry Lawler's "Good Ol' Boys" emerged from the back and surrounded the ring like lumberjacks. Johnny didn't know which way to turn first as the group milled around the ring poised to attack. The King finally came out to join them and turned his "pitbull" Colonel Buck Robley loose on Rich. Using his right arm brace like a weapon, Robley ran into the ring and spun Rich around in mid air with a vicious clothesline. The rest of the pack then descended on Johnny like wolves for a brutal beatdown. Cousin Tommy "Wildfire" Rich led the charge from the back to clear the ring of Lawler's Boys. When the smoke cleared, Johnny was bloody and battered and had to be carried off to the back.

5. "The Black Rose" Loverboy Dennis Condrey (w/ "Ravishing" Randy Rose) beat Porkchop Cash in dubious fashion at 8:25. Randy Rose lent a hand, literally, to Condrey's victory by reaching into the ring and pulling Porkchop's leg out from under him on a Verticle Suplex attempt. Condrey fell on top and Rose held Cash's foot down as Referee Bobby Simmons counted the pin.

Interview Segment with Bob Caudle and the Junk Yard Dog at ringside.

Caudle talks about the bitter feud between JYD and "Dirty" Dick Slater. (We are shown footage from their last two matches including both men battering one another with items from JYD's junk cart.) The Dog points to a bandage on his forehead and says that he had forty stitches put up there courtesy of Dick Slater. JYD challenges Slater to a Dog Collar Match provided that Slater has the guts to face him once more.

6. Smoky Mountain Tag Team Title Match. The Nightmares (Danny Davis & Ken Wayne) defeated Jim Cornette's Heavenly Bodies ("Sweet" Stan Lane & Dr. Tom Prichard) to win the belts at 12:32. Amidst a ring full of chaos, Kenny Wayne managed to duck at the last possible second leaving "Sweet" Stan to take the full brunt of Prichard's Superkick to the jaw for the winning pinfall. The Nightmares are the neeeeeewwwwwww Smoky Mountain Tag Team Champions !!

The show ends with a very concerned Tommy Rich pacing backstage as doctors attend to his Cousin Johnny who was assaulted by Jerry Lawler's "Good Ol' Boys" earlier in the program. Tommy throws a chair that narrowly misses the cameraman and ricochets off a wall. "They'll pay alright" he mutters.

1. The arrogant "Mr. Perfect" Jerry Stubbs defeated "White Lightning" Tim Hoerner in his Smoky Mountain debut at 6:02. Stubbs, who is one of Jerry Lawler's "Good Ol' Boys", won via submission with his Figure Four Leglock.

2. Norvell Austin was pinned by D.J. Peterson at 6:46. After body slamming D.J. to the mat, Austin leapt off the top rope with Diving Splash only to land on Peterson's raised knees instead. D.J. quickly cradled his doubled-over opponent for the three count.

Interview with Bob Caudle and Smoky Mountain Champion "Superstar Bill Dundee". Caudle wishes to discuss the ongoing situation between Jerry Lawler, Tommy Rich, and Tommy's cousin Johnny "Crash" Rich who was injured last week at the hands of Lawler's "Good Ol' Boys". Caudle mentions that Dundee is a good friend of all parties concerned and hopes to get an objective opinion from the Smoky Mountain Champ. Dundee thinks that it's all been a terrible misunderstanding and hopes that the matter can be settled peacefully, however he says that Jerry may have been "out of line" in embarassing Johnny Rich on national TV with the "hammerlock incident".

Just then, Dundee and Caudle were joined by Lawler who appeared in all his regal splendor complete with flowing robe and crown. Lawler put his arm around Dundee and thanked Caudle for having him as a guest even though he hadn't actually been invited to join the set.

Lawler: "You know, Bob, I love this guy like a brother. I've known "Superstar" Bill Dundee for years now and I consider him a dear friend of mine. We've traveled the world over and we've been tag team champions on many occassions. Of course, we lost all those titles when Billy would get pinned, but that's a story for another time. What I really want to talk about today is Billy's comments regarding myself and Johnny Rich and me being "out of line" and all that.

Dundee: "Jerry, there's a time and place for everything, mate, and showing up the man in the middle of his match on television, well, it just wasn't right. You could have taken Johnny aside in the back and talked to him instead of doing it in the ring like that."

Lawler smiles, ponders thoughtfully and gives Dundee a pat on the shoulder.

Lawler: "Billy, don't you go taking sides against your good friend Jerry Lawler, now, because I just might have to take that Smoky Mountain belt off you, and you wouldn't want that would you ?"

Dundee: "I'm a fighting champion, mate, and I'll defend this belt against you or anybody else that earns a shot at it !"

Lawler: "Of course you will, Billy, of course you will.... but just remember something, I know you like the back of my hand, Bill Dundee. I know all of your strengths, and more importantly, I know all your weaknesses, too, every single one of them."

Lawler begins to walk away when Dundee calls him back.

Dundee: "What was that all about last week, Jerry, eh ? Five against one wasn't it, mate ? Colonel Buck Robley and your boys taking Johnny down like that !"

Lawler: "Now, now, I wouldn't be so quick to get on Buck's bad side, Billy. The Colonel had himself a full house and was fixing to take the pot in our little card game in the back when that spoiled punk Johnny Rich came in throwing a tantrum and dumping over our table. (Lawler pauses and looks at Dundee sternly.) He got what he had coming to him because he was stupid, Billy. I'd sure hate to see that happening to you, buddy."

With that, Lawler walks away and waves to his fans despite the smattering of noticable "Boos" coming from the crowd.

3. "Gentleman" Ken Timbs was disqualified for outside interference in his match against Billy Joe Travis at 7:17. Travis appreared to be on his way to victory with a Reverse Cross Body Press off the top rope but Timbs' Fabulous Blondes tag team partner "Flamboyant" Eric Embry ran in to break up the pin count for the DQ.

Interview with Bob Caudle and "Dirty" Dick Slater regarding the Junk Yard Dog's "Dog Collar Match" challenge issued last week. Slater is wearing a dog collar around his neck and holding a bowl of Alpo dog food. He says that not only does he accept the challenge but that he'll humiliate the dog by beating him at his own game. "Dirty Dick" says that he'll make JYD eat his words... and the bowl of Alpo... just for the fun of it.

4. SMW TV Title Match as ordered by Commissioner "Bullet" Bob Armstrong. Former Television Champion Jerry Oates was on the 2nd rope giving the current champ Dirty White Boy ten punches in the corner as the fans counted along when Dirty White Girl Kimberly pulled Oates' leg out from under him. The challenger fell back to the canvas and the DWB pounced on him with both feet on the ropes for leverage as Referee Fred Atkins counted the pin at 7:50. The Dirty White Boy retains the SMW TV Title..... or does he ??

Bob Armstrong stormed down to ringside and grabbed the house mic away from Phil Raney. The Commissioner said that he watched the match from a monitor in the back and saw Kimberly's interference even though Fred Atkins hadn't. Armstrong said that he was holding up the title and ordering another rematch with the stipulation that the Dirty White Girl would be barred from ringside. Kimberly and the Dirty White Boy had a fit in the ring as the Commissioner returned to the back with the TV Title belt.

5. Jerry "The King" Lawler returned to ringside and joined the announcers' table to provide commentary for the upcoming tag team battle between the Tennessee Stud Stable (Robert Fuller & Jimmy Golden) and the Fantastics (Bobby & Jackie Fulton). Lawler extolled upon the virtues of the Stud Stable (who are also members of his "Good Ol' Boys" ) and spoke at great length about the multiple titles that they have held over their years in professional wrestling, however, Fuller & Golden had not yet made their ring entrance despite having already been introduced by Ring Announcer Phil Raney. The Fantastics demanded to know the reason for the delay but Referee Sonny Fargo was as much in the dark as everyone else. The King grew suspicious of the Stud Stable's absence and decided to do some investigating of his own. Lawler abruptly left the broadcast table and headed backstage with a cameraman in hot pursuit.

We see Lawler walk down a hallway and into the locker room where we find Golden and Fuller laid out on the floor. The groggy Golden is bleeding from the nose and trying to shake out the cobwebs while Robert Fuller appears to be out cold on the ground. There is a dented metal folding chair lying on the floor beside them. Lawler is attending to the Stud Stable and trying to find out who had done this to them. "Was it Dundee ??" he shouts. He pushes the cameraman out of the locker room and slams the door in his face.

6. Challenger "Filthy" Phil Hickerson was disqualified for outside interference in his Championship Match against the Smoky Mountain Champion "Superstar" Bill Dundee at 9:29 when an enraged Jerry Lawler entered the ring with the dented chair from the locker room. Dundee tried to calm Lawler down and was jumped from behind by Hickerson. The King then instructed Hickerson to hold Dundee up and was about to smash the chair over the champion's head when a stranger in street clothes rushed in and snatched it out of Lawler's hands.

Lawler immediately spun around and froze in disbelief when he discovered that the man who had just taken the chair away from him was none other than "Universal Heartthrob" Austin Idol ! The King begged off, slowly back peddling away as the fans cheered for the "Universal Heartthrob" ! Hickerson then lunged at Idol only to have the chair smashed over his head while Lawler hightailed it out of the ring as the program went off the air.

1. "Hustler" Rip Rogers pinned Rick Gibson with a Bridging Back Suplex at 5:07 after his valet Miss Brenda Britton blinded Gibson with a squirt of perfume to the eyes.

2. "Universal Heartthrob" Austin Idol had a successful Smoky Mountain debut with a victory over "Outlaw" Joel Deaton at 4:21. Deaton submitted to the Las Vegas Leglock.

After the bout, Chip Kessler interviewed Austin Idol and Smoky Mountain Champion "Superstar" Bill Dundee at ringside.

Dundee: "Chip, I'd like to take this opportunity to personally welcome Austin to Smoky Mountain and to thank him for his help in the ring last week. I owe you one, Mate !"

(Idol & Dundee shake hands. The Superstar was about to receive a chair shot over the head courtesy of Jerry "The King" Lawler when Idol intervened.)

Idol: "It was my pleasure, Bill, and it's a thrill for me to be here and to be a part of Smoky Mountain. Jerry Lawler, you and I are no strangers to one another. It seems like where ever we go around this big ol' world, our paths always cross. Well, you come here to Smoky Mountain with your band of cronies trying to rule the roost and embarrass people on national TV and I'm here to tell you that we're not going to let it happen !"

Dundee: "That's right, Mate ! You know, Chip, Jerry Lawler came out here last week running his mouth about how he knows all my weaknesses from us being tag team partners and that he's going to take my title from me. Well, guess what, Mate ! I know all your weaknesses, too, and your biggest one is that bloody ego of yours ! You want to have a go at my belt, Mate ? Then earn it ! As far as I know, you haven't had a single match in Smoky Mountain the whole time that you've been here, Lawler, yet you're strutting around here like you're the bloody number one contender ! You don't get a title match just because you're Jerry bloody Lawler !"

3. The newly formed tag team of D.J. Peterson & Ric McCord stunned Pat Rose & cousin "Ravishing" Randy Rose. Pat Rose was in the process of Body Slamming D.J. Peterson when Ric McCord ran into the ring with a Drop Kick that caused his partner to fall on top of Pat for the pinfall at 6:48.

Backstage Segment.

Jerry Lawler is questioning the Tennessee Stud Stable over who attacked them with a chair in the locker room last week. Beside him listening intently is Colonel Buck Robley. Lawler asks them over and over, "Was it Dundee ?? Was it Austin Idol ?? but neither Jimmy Golden nor Robert Fuller can remember. "He came out of nowhere, Jerry" Fuller tries to explain, "It all happened so quick." Lawler ponders for a moment and then concludes, "Well, we'll just have to take them both out then won't we ?" The King whispers something into Robley's ear and the Colonel abruptly leaves.

4. "Dirty" Dutch Mantel (w/ "Hangman" Bobby Jaggers) defeated popular masked man Dixie Dynamite at 7:45. Dutch lived up to his name and reputation by loading his elbow pad with a hidden foreign object slipped to him by Jaggers. Dixie ran full steam into the tainted elbow on a corner charge and was knocked senseless. Dutch made the pin with both feet on the ropes for leverage.

5. TV Title Match - The Dirty White Boy vs. Jerry Oates with the stipulation that Dirty White Girl Kimberly is barred from ringside by Smoky Mountain Commissioner "Bullet" Bob Armstrong. (Armstrong stripped the title from DWB and has held up the TV Championship pending the outcome of this match.) Both men were frisked for weapons by Referee Mark Curtis before the bell. Kimberly's nail file was found in one of the back pockets of DWB's blue jeans and removed by Curtis. Things were looking good for former TV Champ Jerry Oates to regain his title when he cradled the DWB in a Small Package, however Mark Curtis had been knocked down in the action and was unable to count the pin. Apparently DWB had more than one trick up his sleeve beside the nail file. While Oates was attempting to revive the referee, DWB removed the leather belt from his pants, wrapped it around his fist and laid out his opponent with a loaded punch. The still-dazed Mark Curtis crawled over to make the three count at 8:22. The Dirty White Boy regains the Smoky Mountain TV Title ! After the bout, Kimberly ran down to the ring to celebrate with her beau.

Backstage Segment

Colonel Buck Robley is lurking in the shadows outside the locker room. He spies Austin Idol conversing with Bill Dundee and patiently waits for an opportunity to strike. The discussion concludes and Robley quietly slips on some Brass Knuckles. The Colonel is about to enter the locker room when we see a finger tap on his shoulder. The startled Robley spins around and gets hit over the head with a folding chair.

6. Dog Collar Match. "Dirty" Dick Slater (w/ Bowl of Alpo) vs. the Junk Yard Dog (w/ Tunnel Vision & An Axe to Grind). A brutal match that was not for the faint of heart as Slater and JYD took turns battering one another with the steel chain that bound them together by the collars around their throats. Both men were busted open and covered in welts from the abuse that they suffered during the bout. Slater wrapped the chain around JYD's neck and tried to choke him out on the mat but the Dog grabbed the nearby Bowl of Alpo and shoved it into Slater's face. JYD then grabbed the chain and caught the blinded Slater under the chin with a vicious Clothesline to deck his opponent and gain the pinfall at 10:17.

1. The mysterious masked man, the Red Demon, provided little competition for Tocula, Mexico's Tito Santana (who was referred to as "Chico" Santana by Jesse Ventura during his commentary). The Demon was decked by a flying Drop Kick to the kisser and finished off with a Figure Four Leg Lock submission at 3:30. Arriba !

2. The popular British Bulldogs (Dynamite Kid & Davey Boy Smith) defeated the unorthodox "Duke of Dorchester" Pete Doherty and his partner in crime Charlie Fulton at 5:02. The Duke, who is missing a lion's share of both teeth and marbles, was highly entertaining as always. In the end, Doherty ended up hoisted atop Davey Boy's shoulders as a launching pad for the Dynamite Kid's Swan Dive Head Butt on the downed Charlie Fulton for the winning pinfall.

3. Steve Lombardi (in his pre-Brooklyn Brawler persona) tapped out to Pedro Morales' Boston Crab at 4:26. Lombardi used a hidden foreign object during this match. While the weapon didn't bring him a victory, it did give Morales problems and helped prolong the bout.

4. Brutus Beefcake (w/ Luscious Johnny V) seemed very reluctant to lock up with Salvatore Bellomo. Every time his opponent would lunge for him, Beefcake would simply turn and strut away. The impatient Bellomo became very hot under the collar and shouted "Andiamo !" (We go!) Well, the only place that Brutus went was outside the ring to confer with his manager Johnny V and talk strategy. When Beefcake re-entered the ring, however, he was all business and unloaded with the heavy artillery. Bellomo barely got in any offense at all and went down to the High Knee Smash off the ropes at 6:34.

5. The Hart Foundation (Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart & Bret "The Hitman" Hart) over the masked Invaders (I & II) at 7:49. Credit the annoying "Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart for turning the tide of this tag battle. The masked men were utilizing their speed quite effectively until the Hart Foundation's manager reached into the ring and tripped Invader #1. Things escalated quickly as Neidhart followed up with his Anvil Toss (Running Powerslam) to gain the pinfall.

6. Sergeant Slaughter earned 100 bonus points for handing out small American paper flags to the youngsters around ringside during his entrance. His opponent Nikolai Volkoff also scored 100 bonus points for riling up the fans with his rendition of the Soviet National Anthem. The war was on when the Sarge attacked the big Russian before he had finished singing. Lots of fists and boots in this Pier 6 Brawl. Volkoff removed the padding from a corner turnbuckle only to have his own head rammed into the steel leading to the three count.

1. Strongman Ted Arcidi made his WWF debut with a victory over A.J. Petruzzi. A lot of "no selling" by Mr. Arcidi who scarcely flinched at anything Petruzzi threw at him. Arcidi induced a submission with a bear Hug off the ropes at 2:50.

2. "Pomp & Circumstance" brought out Randy "Macho Man" Savage along with his valet/manager Miss Elizabeth. The Macho Man's opponent Paul Roma made a good accounting of himself before going down to Savage's patented Flying Elbow Drop at 4:04. The pin was preceded by a Double Axe Handle from the top rope after Roma had been tossed out of the ring.

3. The Killer Bees (B. Brian Blair & "Jumping" Jim Brunzell) defeated the duo of Tiger Chung Lee & Terry Gibbs at 6:46. Although they hadn't teamed up before, veterans Lee & Gibbs worked well together and gave the Bees some problems tonight. Things unraveled quickly, however, when the heels were whipped into one another from opposite corners. The dazed Gibbs was then pinned by Blair (at least we think it was Blair) after the Bee Stinger (Double Flying Hip Attack).

4. In a rather unorthodox match, fan favorite George "The Animal" Steele over Moondog Spot at 7:20. Neither grappler quite knew what to make of their opponent. A long "feeling out" process insued as both men seemed reluctant to lock up with one another. The match was decided when the Animal was able to reverse a smash with Spot's bone leading to the pinfall.

5. Corporal Kirchner of the 82nd Airborne Division won by disqualification over the hated Iron Sheik at 6:57. The Sheik had his problems with former wrestler turned referee Swede Hansen right from the opening bell. Hansen was constantly berating the Iranian for his rule breaking tactics. So much so that the Sheik tossed Kirchner out of the ring and proceeded to choke out the offical on the mat. Several wrestlers ran in to join Kirchner in pulling the Sheik off of Hansen.

6. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper & his bodyguard "Ace" Cowboy Bob Orton defeated Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka & the Tonga Kid at 9:28. Referee Gilberto Roman had his hands full trying to maintain any semblance of order in this wild tag match. While Roman was attempting to send Snuka and Piper back to their respective corners, "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff snuck into the ring and gave the Tonga Kid a Spiked Piledriver with Orton's help. Roman turned around to find Ace making the cover and counted the pin.

1. Samoan Samu came down to ringside munching away on a raw fish for his WWF debut. His opponent Aldo Marino seemed unfazed by the unconventional behavior (and appetite) but could muster little in the way of any offense. Like Afa & Sika before him, Samu used his hard noggin for some crushing head butts before eventually polishing off Marino with a Samoan Drop (Fallaway Slam) at 3:39.

2. "Number One Frenchman" Renee Goulet (w/ Frenchy Martin) thought that he could take a breather after tossing Scott McGhee OOR. The plan was for Frenchy to work him over on the floor but McGhee had other ideas. A Drop Kick sent Martin over the barricade railing and into the first row of spectators. McGhee then returned to the apron with a shoulder butt into Goulet's midsection to double-over his opponent and then slingshotted himself back inside the ring with a Sunset Flip to score the pinfall at 6:31.

3. Big John Studd brought both his $5,000 Body Slam Challenge and manager Bobby "The Brain" Heenan with him to the ring to face "Leaping" Lanny Poffo. Lanny's shining moment turned out to be his corny poem prior to the bell because it was all Studd from there. Not only couldn't Poffo lift Big John for a Body Slam, he also couldn't avoid a Big Boot to the chin off the ropes. Studd followed up with a Giant Elbow Drop to gain the three count at 4:54.

4. Blackjack Mulligan found out that he had quite a fight on his hands with "Canada's Greatest Athlete" Iron Mike Sharpe. The Canadien used his loaded forearm pad to great effect tonight and nearly pinned the big Cowboy after a stiff clothesline with the controversial brace. Mulligan battled back, however, and put Sharpe away with his big Blackjack Elbow off the ropes at 7:07.

5. The British Bulldogs (Dynamite Kid & Davey Boy Smith) over the Moondogs (Rex & Spot). It seemed quite appropriate that this battle of the canines should ultimately be decided by a bone. Rex went down like a ton of bricks after an errant smash from partner Spot with one of the Moondog's nasty bones on a string. Davey Boy hooked a leg and Referee Dave Hebner counted the 1-2-3 at 8:48.

6. It took some help from manager Johnny V. to get Brutus Beefcake a victory over the Junk Yard Dog in tonight's Main Event. "Luscious" Johnny pulled down the top rope just as the Dog was being sent into them causing JYD to take a nasty spill to the floor. The Dog tried to climb back inside the ring but it was not in time to make Referee Danny Davis' ten count. Your winner via Count Out at 8:33: the struttin' Brutus Beefcake.

1. Mr. Fuji left his tux at home and donned the tights to take on Jim Powers. Although he is considered to be in "semi-retirement", the Magnificent Muraco's manager still had enough left in the tank to defeat the up and coming Powers. Fuji employed a Samurai Drop (Diving Head Butt to the abdomen) to set up a Kamikaze Clothesline for the three count at 5:52.

2. Fuji stuck around ringside after his bout to have words with Pedro Morales. (Pedro is ranked as a top contender for Muraco's Intercontinental Title). Morales' opponent Goldie Rogers took advantage of the distraction to gain the upper hand in the early going. A missed elbow drop turned the tide of the action in Pedro's favor, however. Rogers tapped out to a Boston Crab from Morales shortly after. The time of the fall was 4:45.

3. There seemed to be a large contingent of Italian fans among the spectators in attendence to root on Salvatore Bellomo in his bid to upset Greg "The Hammer" Valentine. It was an ominous sign, though, when Bellomo hurt his knee crashing into the turnbuckle on a missed corner charge. The injured wheel played right into Valentine's hands as the Hammer methodically went to work on the leg before inducing a submission with his signature Figure Four Leg Lock at 5:11.

4. The house lights dimmed as Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat breathed fire from his perch atop the corner turnbuckle. That rather grand entrance earned Mr. Steamboat some bonus points. Whether he needed them or not is highly debatable. The Dragon dominated veteran "Gentleman" Jerry Valiant enroute to victory with a Diving Cross Body Press from the top rope at 4:39.

5. Billed as hailing from Puerto Rico, the masked Invaders (Johnny Rivera & Jose Gonzalez) kept the Super Powers (Nikolai Volkoff & the Iron Sheik) off balance with their speed and aerial attack. A double Drop Kick by the masked men nearly put Volkoff's shoulders down for the three count but the Sheik managed to break up the pin. Gonzalez may have gone to the well once too often when he attempted another Drop Kick later in the match but came up empty. The Iron Sheik then applied his Camel Clutch finisher for the submission at 8:42.

6. In the Main Event, "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff (w/ "Rowdy" Roddy Piper & "Ace" Cowboy Bob Orton) defeated WWF newcomer Billy Jack Haynes via Count Out at 9:18. Orndorff can credit the devious duo of Piper & Orton for this victory. Rowdy Roddy used his motor mouth to bait Billy Jack into a confrontation on the floor. Haynes was clubbed from behind by Orton's contoversial forearm cast while Orndorff kept Referee Danny Davis occupied. When Davis finally got around to counting, the dazed Billy Jack was unable to answer the call.

1. Newcomer Tommy Montana was injured in his very first match yet came out a winner against the Great Kabuki. It was clear from the start that the sinister Kabuki was using his young opponent like bait to draw Al Madril out of the shadows. Time and time again Kabuki would yank up Montana by the hair on a two count to dish out more punishment. The strategy worked as Madril finally emerged from the dressing room with some harsh words for the man from Singapore. The fans implored Madril to get in the ring as Kabuki continued to punish Montana with a stiff Thrust Kick to the side of the face that could be heard some twenty rows deep in the arena. Madril could stand no more and charged toward the ring sending Kabuki running for cover. The two finally hooked up on the floor in front of the announcers' table where Madril was able to lift an arm and shield his eyes in the nick of time to avoid a spray of Kabuki's Green Mist. The two continued to slug it out long after David Manning's count had reached ten. Madril finally managed to chase off his adversary and helped the battered Montana back to the dressing room.

2. Chalk up another victory for Percy Pringle III's new team of "Maniac" Matt Borne & "Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer. Percy couldn't help but lend a hand in the win over Bart & Brad Batten. The annoying manager reached into the ring and tripped Brad Batten as he was bounding off the ropes. Borne then flew off the top rope with a Seated Splash to gain the 1-2-3 at 6:44.

3. Mark Lewin (w/ "Playboy" Gary Hart) over Spike Huber (w/ Hard Hat) at 5:38. Spike got bopped in the head with his own helmet by Lewin while Gary Hart was arguing with Referee Danny Pleches. Lewin then applied his Singapore Sleeper onto his dazed opponent for the submisison victory.

4. The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) came out on top in a highly entertaining tag team contest with the Rock & Roll RPMs (Mike Davis & Tommy Lane). A lot of twists and turns in this one including the final pinfall. Tommy Rogers had Mike Davis cradled in a Small Package amidst a ring full of confusion only to have Tommy Lane reverse the pin while Referee Marvin Jones was sending Bobby Fulton back to his corner. Jones then turned around to send Lane back to his corner allowing Fulton to sneak back into the ring and re-reverse the cradle by putting Rogers back on top. Jones finally counted the pin at 9:25. Your winners: the Fantastics.

5. Referee David Manning was worse for wear after the Double DQ battle between Red River Jack (Bruiser Brody under a mask) and "Playboy" Gary Hart's "Mongolian Monster" Killer Khan. Both men took turns clobbered one another with chairs prompting Manning to call for the bell at 8:56. The ref was then tossed out of the ring like a sack of potatoes as Khan and Jack continued their battle. Several wrestlers and officials ran in to separate the combatants and check on Manning.

6. It was hard to top the mayhem from the last match but Kevin Von Erich and "Gentleman" Chris Adams may have done just that in their Main Event bout. A series of near pinfalls had the fans on the edge of their seats until sleazy Jake "The Snake" Roberts slithered into the ring and once again and planted Kevin's head into the mat with his devastating DDT. Referee Danny Pleches saw it this time and called for the disqualification at 12:41. Kerry Von Erich then raced in with a Discus Punch that knocked Roberts into the next County. Adams managed to pull Jake out of the ring before the dreaded Von Erich Claw Hold could be applied. Your winner by DQ: the dazed Kevin Von Erich.

World Class Results (Circa Mid 80's) - Will Rogers Memorial Center, Fort Worth, TX. Att: 3,107.

Announcers: Bill Mercer & Sunshine
Ring Announcer: Joe Rinelli
Referees: Fred Sinclair, Ralph Pulley & Bronco Lubich

1. "Crippler" Rip Oliver (w/ Jim Cornette) put away Perry Jackson at 3:41. Although Jackson had his moments in this bout, Oliver was never in any serious trouble. The Crippler used a taped thumb jab to the throat to weaken his opponent before finishing Jackson off with a Shoulderbreaker.

2. "Lone Star" Rusty Brooks gave "Iceman" King Parsons a run for his money with the aid of a hidden foreign object that he kept concealed under his boot flap. The Iceman finally got Brooks to drop the weapon after a rocking head butt. Rusty staggered around the ring and was cradled from behind for the three count at 4:53 as he bent over to retrieve his object.

3. "Ravishing" Rick Rude (w/ Percy Pringle III) over Chief Mark Youngblood at 6:46. Rude got his opponent's dander up with some inflammatory remark's regarding the Chief's Native American heritage. While the comments earned the Ravishing one some bonus heel points, it also sent Youngblood on the warpath with a flurry of Tomahawk Chops and Running Knee Lifts. Pringle then interjected himself into the proceedings to turn the tide in Rude's favor. A quick jab to the ribs with Percy's walking stick set up Youngblood for the Rude Awakening (Hangman's Neckbreaker) for the finish.

4. "Master G" George Wells got a raw deal in his loss to "Maniac" Matt Borne thanks to the interference of "Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer. Wells was in the process of hoisting the Maniac up for a Verticle Suplex attempt when Sawyer reached into the ring and pulled Master G's leg out from underneath him. Borne landed on top of his opponent and grabbed a handful of tights to score the pinfall at 8:33.

5. Abdullah the Butcher always seems to be on the brink of disqualification in his matches and tonight was no exception during his bout with the Dingo Warrior. Between the Butcher's vicious tactics and his manager "Playboy" Gary Hart's interference, Referee Fred Sinclair's patience was pushed to the brink. Abdullah went too far when he brought his Kendo Stick into the ring and whacked the Dingo across the back with it. Sinclair had no choice but to call for the bell at 9:50 and award the match to the Warrior by DQ.

6. To no one's surprise, Jim Cornette snatched the house mic away from Joe Rinelli to introduce his team from "The Darkside" the Midnight Express ("Beautiful" Bobby Eaton & "Loverboy" Dennis Condrey). It was also expected that Mr. Cornette would attempt to wield his beloved tennis racquet against the Midnight's opponents in tonight's Main Event, Texas Champion Kerry Von Erich and his brother Mike. With all four men slugging it out in the ring and Referee Bronco Lubich toppled to the mat, Cornette decided the time was right to put his two cents in. Unfortunately for his team, this meant an errant shot to Condrey's back with the afore mentioned tennis racquet during the mayhem. The dazed Loverboy was then decked by Kerry's Discus Punch as Lubich recovered to count the pin at 11:49.
