Announcers: Tony Schiavone & David Crockett
Ring Announcer: Jonathan Gold
Referees: Tommy Young, Mike Atkins & Lee Scott
1. The NWA Tag Team Champion Rock & Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) kicked things off in grand style with a victory over the State Patrol (Lt. James Earl Wright & Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker) in a non-title match up. The Express combined for their trademark Double Drop Kick to pin Parker at 4:33.
2. "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson over the Italian Stallion at 3:56. Vintage Arn this evening with the Spinebuster off the ropes followed by the Gourdbuster for the pinfall.
3. "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin defeated veteran Doug Vines at 5:15. Vines got in a flurry of offense until Garvin connected with his "Hands of Stone" Knockout Punch out of nowhere to score the three count.
4. The Barbarian received some help from his manager "Number One" Paul Jones to beat "Avalanche" Buzz Tyler at 8:09. Referee Mike Atkins was sandwiched in the corner between the grapplers and knocked senseless. Jones took advantage of the situation by sneaking into the ring and clubbing Tyler over the back with his walking stick. The Barbarian then came off the top rope with his Swan Dive Head Butt to finish off Tyler as a still dazed Atkins crawled over to count the pin.
5. "Precious" Paul Ellering's Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) beat the hated Russians (Krusher Khruschev & "Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff w/ Ivan Koloff) at 12:53. Uncle Ivan was about to smash Hawk with his Russian Chain when Magnum T.A. raced down to ringside and grabbed Koloff's arm to obstruct his aim. The chain decked Khruschev instead leading to the three count. Magnum received a huge pop from the crowd and had to feel some satisfaction from the outcome of the match. He recently lost the United States Championship to "Superstar" Billy Graham after suffering a neck injury at the hands of the Russians and their chain.
6. Mid-Atlantic TV Title Match. Champion "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes defeated his challenger "Outlaw" Ron Bass (w/ Bullwhip "Miss Betsy" & James J. Dillon) by DQ at 11:49. Don Kernodle, who had joined the announcers' table to provide guest commentary for the title match but spent the entire time bad-mouthing Dusty Rhodes instead, ran into the ring and attacked the Dream after Rhodes connected with his Bionic Elbow Drop on Bass. Referee Tommy Young called for the bell as Dusty and Kernodle duked it out in the ring. |

Announcers: Freddie Miller & Stan Rhodes
Ring Announcer: Ray McCay
Referees: Stu Schwartz,Tommy Young & Nick Patrick
1. Crafty veteran Nelson Royal cradled Gene Ligon with a Small Package as Ligon was attempting to lift him for a Body Slam. The time of the fall was 4:42.
2. On the comeback trail after suffering a neck injury at the hands of the Russians, Magnum T.A. made quick work of Randy Barber. Magnum put away his opponent with his trademark Belly to Belly Suplex off the ropes at 1:35.
3. The New Breed (Chris Champion & Sean Royal w/ Beastie Boys "Fight for Your Right (To Party)" Entrance Music) beat the duo of Tim "Powerhouse" Parker & Lazer Tron at 5:16. The speedy masked man Lazer Tron managed to keep the New Breed off balance with his repertoire of aerial maneuvers, however things took a dramatic turn once Parker tagged in. Royal and Champion cut off the ring and kept Parker close to their corner for the remainder of the bout. Champion pinned Parker with a Flying Clothesline from the top rope.
4. Don Kernodle, who has been a thorn in the side of TV Champion Dusty Rhodes over the past several weeks, clamped a Cobra Clutch onto his opponent "Downtown" Denny Brown and refused to let go despite the submission at 4:04. Kernodle was on the verge of being disqualified by Referee Stu Schwartz when he finally relented and released the hold.
5. Barry Windham was able to capitalize on Magnum T.A.'s presence at ringside to defeat "Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff at 9:32. Magnum joined the announcers' table to comment on both the match as well as his feud with the Russians. Koloff was clearly distracted by his presence and was rolled up from behind by Windham for the pinfall while jawing with Magnum.
6. Ole Anderson (w/ Arn Anderson) over Rick Steamboat at 12:55. Steamboat was able to corral the Andersons into a Noggin Knocker and cradle the dazed Ole with a Small Package, however Referee Tommy Young had been knocked down and was unable to count the pin. NWA Champion "Nature Boy" Ric Flair suddenly raced into the ring and overturned the cradle. Young shook out the cobwebs and made the three count for Ole. Flair returned to the locker room with both Andersons holding up the four fingers symbol for the "Four Horsemen". "Right here, baby. That's what it's all about," he smiled smugly into the camera.
7. "The Boogie-Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant gained a slight measure of revenge on his former friend and tag team partner "Ragin' Bull" Manny Fernandez (w/ "Number One" Paul Jones) in a Count Out victory at 9:47. Valiant has been demanding a match to get his hands on Fernandez ever since the "Ragin' Bull" turned on him in Salem, VA over the summer. Valiant finally got Fernandez in the ring alright, but he had trouble keeping him there. The Bull kept bailing out which frustrated the Boogie-Woogie Man to no end. Valiant would chase him back inside the ring only to have Fernandez escape his clutches once more. Manny finally had enough and returned to the locker room with both arms raised in victory as Referee Nick Patrick laid the ten count on him. Fernandez incurred the wrath of the Omni fans who hurled both cups and insults at him during his walk to the back. |

4. Doink the Clown (w/ evil carnival music and bucket of confetti) over "Portugese Man O' War" Aldo Montoya at 10:04. Doink gained an early advantage by squirting Montoya in the face with "an unknown substance" (according to McMahon) from a trick flower in his ring jacket lapel. Later in the match, the demented clown pulled a boquet of flowers from his sleeve and tried to hand them to the "Portugese Man O' War" as a peace offering. Aldo declined the gesture and was promptly hit over the head with the boquet. Camera's picked up a blackjack hidden in the flowers. Doink then finished off his dazed opponent with the Whoopie Cushion (Seated Splash off the top rope) for the victory. Ring Announcer Howard Finkel was the recepient of the bucket of confetti as he announced the winner of the match. After the bout, Doink make balloon animals for the children at ringside, only to pop them with a pin as he handed them to the youngsters. Doink laughed hysterically as he returned to the dressing room.
5. Crazy Bob Backlund defeated the 1-2-3 Kid by submission with his Crossface Chickenwing at 10:16. It was a surreal sight to see the looney Backlund generate such heat at the Garden - a place where he was revered and beloved by the fans some fifteen years ago as the clean-cut WWWF Champion.
6. "Double J" Jeff Jarrett & his Roadie (w/ Country & Western Twang and guitar) defeated the Godwinns (Henry O. & Phineas I. w/ Hillbilly Jim) by Count Out at 10:21. During his entrance, HBK insisted that Howard Finkel introduce him as "The Showstopper... the Icon... the Main Event !" |

Referee Earl Hebner laid the ten count on the woozy spaceman.
4. "King of Harts" Owen Hart and Marty Jannetty treated the fans to an exciting and high-flying contest. Jannetty's Small Package attempt was reversed into Owen's dreaded Sharpshooter. Trapped in the middle of the ring with nowhere to go, Marty had no choice but to tap out at 11:47.
5. The Caribbean Connection of Razor Ramon & Savio Vega defeated the Beverly Brothers (Beau & Blake w/ The Genius) at 10:04. With Beau distracting Referee Earl Hebner and Blake holding Razor Ramon from behind, the Genius, attired in his red graduation cap and gown, tried to smash Ramon over the head with a folding chair. Hebner turned around to find Ramon making the cover on the KO'd Blake and counted the pin.
6. Adam Bomb over Psycho Sid (w/ Bates' Motel Hitchcock Music and "HBK" Shawn Michaels) via Count Out at 14:58. As the action spilled OOR, big Sid was laid out by an inadvertent Superkick from Michaels on the floor. Referee Joey Marella could have counted to a hundred after the "Sweet Chin Music". Sid, who also serves as Michaels' bodyguard, had some choice words for his employer when he finally came to. HBK merely shrugged his shoulders and smugly strolled back to the locker room.
7. In the Main Event, "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel defeated Yokozuna (w/ Mr. Fuji & Geisha Girls) by DQ at 11:03. Heartbreak Hotel Segment w/ host "HBK" Shawn Michaels and bodyguard Psycho Sid
Michaels' guest was Irwin R. Shyster and his manager "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase. IRS said that today was his favorite day of the year and reminded the fans that their taxes were due. Shyster drew tremendous heat from the crowd as he removed a stack of blank 1040 Forms from his briefcase and asked the ushers to help distribute them amongst the fans.
The segment appeared to be over when Psycho Sid began to have words with Michaels. Sid was still angry over being leveled by HBK's errant Sweet Chin Music Superkick last week and causing him to lose a match to Adam Bomb by Count Out. Michaels said he was sorry that the Superkick didnt knock some sense into his "lame-brained" bodyguard prompting Sid to grab his employer by the throat and Chokeslam him through a wall of the set. Dibiase handed Sid a wad of cash and welcomed him to The Million Dollar Corporation with an evil laugh. Doink was tossed out onto the floor but then proceeded to roll himself under the ring. While Vega was waiting for him to come back out, another Doink emerged from the other side of the ring and caught Savio in a surprise roll up for the pinfall. 1. Jimmy Golden (w/ "Tennessee Stud" Robert Fuller & Miss Sylvia) over Paul Christy at 6:45. Fuller & Sylvia proved to be a constant distraction at ringside for both Referee Mark Curtis and the outnumbered Christy. Smoky Mountain Results (Early 90's) - Knoxville Civic Coliseum, Knoxville, TN. Att: 5,695.
Announcers: Chip Kessler & Ron Fuller
Ring Announcer: Tommy Noe
Referees: Bobby Simmons, Jerry Calhoun & Mark Curtis
1. "Wild" Bill Ash stunned Porkchop Cash with a sneaky pin at 5:05. Cash was distracted by the crowd reaction to a special appearance by Tennessee's own Jerry "The King" Lawler who came down to ringside in all his regal splendor complete with robe and crown and took a seat at the broadcast table to provide analysis. Ash cradled the preoccupied Cash with a handful of tights to score the rare victory.
2. "Gentleman" Ken Timbs (w/ "Flamboyant" Eric Embry) beat "Jumping" Joey Maggs with the Blonde Bomber (DDT) at 3:17.
Interview Segment - Bob Caudle with Smoky Mountain Champion "Superstar" Bill Dundee and Tommy "Wildfire" Rich
Dundee & Rich are all fired up about the "Superstar" being jumped by the Kansas Jayhawks in Mobile, AL after Dundee successfully defended his title against "Dirty" Dutch Mantel. Tommy is just starting to get on a roll when Jerry Lawler abruptly interjects himself into the interview. The King acknowledges the fans’ cheers and shakes Dundee's hand. Lawler says that he and the "Superstar" go way back and wishes to congratulate him as champion. Lawler asks for the fans to recognize Dundee's accomplishment and they comply with a rousing ovation. Jerry puts his arm around Dundee's shoulder and adds, "You might by the champion of Smoky Mountain, Billy, but, as you know, I'm the King of all professional wrestling." The fans cheer again. Jerry then shakes Tommy Rich's hand and apologizes for interrupting. Tommy tries to get back to the interview but Caudle has to cut him short and informs him that they are out of time.
3. "White Lightning" Tim Hoerner put away Pat Rose with a Bridging Back Suplex at 6:23.
4. "Filthy" Phil Hickerson over Johnny "Crash" Rich with a big running Powerslam at 7:50. The result of the match was overshadowed by an odd occurrence. Prior to the pinfall, Rich had a Hammerlock applied to his opponent when Jerry Lawler inexplicably entered the ring. Jerry once again acknowledged the Knoxville fans' adoration and motioned with his hands for a "timeout". The King then appeared to critique Rich's technique in applying the hold. Lawler asked Johnny to step back and applied his own version of the Hammerlock on Hickerson. Lawler added some torque and asked "Filthy" Phil if his adaption was the better of the two. Hickerson grimaced in pain and nodded. Lawler then released the hold, gave Phil a pat on the back and paused for a moment to allow Hickerson to flex his arm before calling Rich back over. Johnny then reapplied the Hammerlock. Hickerson and Lawler both appeared to share a laugh as the hold was largely ineffective. Lawler then repositioned Johnny's hands and Hickerson once again grimaced in pain. Lawler then waved to the fans and promptly exited the ring. No one quite understood what they had just witnessed but Johnny Rich was visibly upset that he had been embarrassed by Lawler. Tommy Rich came back down to ringside and asked his cousin what happened. Johnny threw up his hands and yelled at Lawler who had returned to the announcers' table. Hickerson seized the moment with a high running knee smash to Johnny's back to turn the tide of the match and set up the winning Powerslam.
5. Tag Team Title Match. The defending Champs, Jim Cornette's Heavenly Bodies ("Sweet" Stan Lane & "Doctor of Desire" Tom Prichard) defeated their challengers Dixie Dynamite & Billy Joe Travis at 8:28. The Bodies combined for a Double Superkick on Dixie behind the ref's back while Jerry Calhoun was arguing with Jim Cornette. Calhoun turned around to find Prichard making the cover and counted the pin. The Heavenly Bodies retain the Smoky Mountain Tag Titles.
Once again, Lawler seemed to steal the spotlight as he was confronted by Tommy "Wildfire" Rich at the broadcast table regarding the "Hammerlock Incident". The King took the high road and apologized if he had hurt Johnny's feelings. Lawler explained to Tommy that he had seen a flaw in the application of the Hammerlock and was merely trying to give his cousin a few pointers on how to make the hold more effective. Ron Fuller disagreed and insinuated that Lawler had "shown up" Johnny in front of the fans and his opponent. Lawler retorted by saying, "Ron, I always thought you'd make a better announcer than a wrestler but you proved me wrong. You're not good at either." Lawler promptly stood up and left as both Fuller and Tommy Rich continued to jaw at him.
6. In the Main Event, the Junk Yard Dog over "Dirty" Dick Slater by DQ at 15:50 in a brutal battle that saw both men busted open and bleeding profusely. Referee Bobby Simmons allowed a LOT of leeway in this match but had to call for the bell when Slater got a hold of JYD's chain, wrapped it around his fist and bashed his opponent repeatedly in the forehead with it. Several wrestlers and officials ran in to subdue Slater before he could inflict more damage. |

AWA Results (Circa Late 70's) - Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena, Green Bay, WI. Att: 5,561.
Announcers: Sam Menacker & Bob Luce
Ring Announcer: Marty O'Neill
Referees: Joe Fiorino, Jack Pesek & Merv Unger
1. Al Ringo drew a few chuckles from the crowd when he attempted to lift the 400lb Olympian Chris Taylor off his feet for a Body Slam and appeared to strain his back. A clubbing forearm from Taylor only added to the misery as did a crushing Corner Avalanche following a whip to the turnbuckle. Ringo rebounded right into the waiting arms of the massive Olympian who then clamped on a vice-like Bear Hug to draw the submission at 5:38.
2. Moose Morowski's belittling promo on opponent "Irish" Mickey Doyle earned him bonus heel points but also served to fire up his adversary. Doyle attacked before the bell as Moose was climbing through the ropes and never let up. While the roughhouse brawling is more of Morowski's forte, Mickey more than held his own. Moose grabbed the sash from his ring robe which was still lying on the apron and blatantly choked out Doyle in the corner. Morowski refused to break on Referee Jack Pesek's five count and was disqualified at 6:00.
3. Billy Robinson asked popular Canadien youngster Dino Bravo to be his partner in tonight's tag team match against Lord Alfred Hayes' Super Destroyers Mark II & III. The masked men's experience as a team worked to their advantage as they employed several illegal switches behind Referee Merv Unger's back. Hayes also made his presence felt by climbing up onto the apron to grab the official's attention allowing the Super Destroyers to send Bravo over the top rope with a Running Double Clothesline. Dino took a bad spill to the floor and was unable to answer Unger's ten count. The time of the match was 7:42.
4. Jesse "The Body" Ventura could credit his East-West Connection partner "Golden Boy" Adrian Adonis for his victory tonight over Rufus. R. "Freight Train" Jones. Adonis pulled Rufus' leg out from under him as he was in the process of Suplexing Ventura back into the ring from the apron. Jesse fell on top of Jones and added a foot on the ropes for leverage to make the pinfall at 9:14.
5. "Bounty Hunter" Bobby Vann was led to the ring by his "client", a mysterious masked man who claims to have put up the money to rid the AWA of Mad Dog Vachon. Vann's opponent (and Vachon's tag team partner) Verne Gagne made several attempts to unmask the stranger but was unsuccessful. Despite the distraction of the masked man's presence at ringside, Verne was able to persevere and put Vann away with his Sleeper Hold at 7:40. Gagne hardly had a moment to celebrate his victory as he was immediately attacked from behind by the stranger after the bell. The revived Bounty Hunter also joined in on the beatdown until Vachon hit the ring to make the save.
6. AWA World Heavyweight Championship Match. Larry "The Axe" Hennig got his crack at the defending Champ, Beverly Hill's own Nick Bockwinkel (w/ Monogrammed Designer Towel draped around his neck & Manager Bobby "The Brain" Heenan). The wily Bockwinkel knows where he is in the ring at any given moment and may very well have saved his title by getting a foot on the ropes to break the pin count following the challenger's patented Axe finisher (Running Forearm to the head). Things took a turn for the worse for Hennig later in the bout when Referee Merv Unger was knocked to the canvas by an errant collision. Bobby Heenan snuck into the ring, hopped up to the 2nd rope, and assisted Bockwinkel in delivering a devastating Spiked Piledriver. Bockwinkel then made the cover as the still dazed official crawled over to count the pin at 19:21. Your winner and still AWA World Champion: Nick Bockwinkel. |

AWA Results (Circa Late 70's) - Minneapolis Auditorium, Minneapolis, MN. Att: 8,552.
Announcers: Rodger Kent & Wally Karbo
Ring Announcer: Al DeRusha
Referees: Pete Mymko, Rod Luck & George "Scrap Iron" Gadaski
1. The Mighty Igor Vodik got to flex his muscles in tonight's opening bout against Armando Rodriguez. Vodik controlled the action from the opening bell and induced a submission from his opponent when Rodriguez leapt off the 2nd rope right into vice-like Bear Hug at 4:14.
2. The Heenan Family (Blackjack Lanza & Big Bad Bobby Duncum) took care of business against Evan Johnson and his partner "Sodbuster" Kenny Jay. To his credit, Johnson held his own against Bobby "The Brain" Heenan's team, but things went downhill quickly once the Sodbuster tagged in. Jay was repeatedly double-teamed and prevented from getting back to his corner for a much needed tag. Duncum put Kenny away with a Bulldog at 6:16.
3. Chief Frank Hill got off to a fast start against veteran Reggie Parks, but ran into a raised boot on an ill-fated corner charge. Hill was then dropped throat-first across the top rope and finished off with a Running Clothesline at 5:29.
4. Paul Christy used his speed and savvy to stay one step ahead of his much larger opponent Angelo Mosco. The strategy worked until Christy was caught in mid air on a Flying Cross Body Press attempt and transitioned by Mosca into a Backbreaker across the knee for the winning pinfall at 6:50.
5. Snooty Lord Alfred Hayes said that he was sending his charge Super Destroyer Mark II into the ring to do away with hated adversary Billy Robinson for once and for all, but it was not to be. Robinson appeared to have the match locked up with a bridging Double Underhook Suplex, but Hayes pulled Referee Rod Luck out of the ring by his ankles before the official could finish making the three count. Robinson was declared the winner by way of disqualification at 9:40.
6. Ray "The Crippler" Stevens thought that he would have the advantage by having his partner Pat Patterson in his corner for tonight's Main Event match against "High Flyer" Greg Gagne, however things didn't quite turn out as expected. Patterson was able to get in several cheap shots throughout the contest, but his errant haymaker staggered the Crippler right into a Gagne schoolboy roll up for the winning three count at 14:45. |

2. "High Flyer" Greg Gagne (w/ Sergeant Slaughter) beat Jay York via submission with the Gagne Sleeper Hold at 2:50.
3. Steve "O" Olsonoski defeated Teijo Khan (w/ Soldad Ustinov) at 6:02. Ustinov climbed up on the apron to help Teijo but the pair were given a mighty Noggin Knocker by Steve O. Olsonoski then finished off the dazed Khan with a Diving Elbow Drop off the 2nd rope for the pin.
4. Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka beat "Pretty Boy" Doug Somers (w/ "Playboy" Buddy Rose) at 7:40 with a Flying Cross Body Press off the ropes.
5. Grudge Match. "Sensei" Pat Tanaka defeated Paul "Hard Rock" Diamond at 12:43. Diamond Dallas Page, who had vowed to remain neutral in this rift between his Badd Company tag team members, came down to ringside toward the end of the match and tripped Paul Diamond coming off the ropes. Diamond stumbled right into a Leaping Spiked DDT from Tanaka for the pinfall.
6. AWA Tag Team Title Match. The Champion Midnight Rockers (Marty Jannetty & Shawn Michaels) turned back the challenge of The Sheiks (Ken Patera & "Crusher" Jerry Blackwell w/ Sheik Adnan El-Kaisee) at 10:30. Jannetty pinned Patera after the Rocker-Plex (Michaels Verticle Suplex with Jannetty Diving Cross Body off the top rope). The Rockers retain the Belts.
7. In the Main Event, Nick Bockwinkel over Stan "The Lariat" Hansen by DQ at 15:37. The Wildman from Borger, TX went berserk and choked out Bockwinkel with his bullrope for the disqualification. Referee Marty Miller desperately tried to pull Hansen off of Bockwinkel but got thrown out of the ring for his trouble. Hansen then bashed Nick repeatedly with the cowbell that was attached to the rope until the Rockers and Greg Gagne ran in to make the save. |

2. The Russian Brute (w/ Ox Baker) beat "Beach Boy" Sonny Rogers with a Heart Punch at 3:21.
3. "Sensational" Sherri Martel over Vivian Vachon via Count Out at 6:00. In OOR action, Vivian missed a charge at Sherri and crashed shoulder-first into the barricade railing. Vachon could not make it back inside the ring in time for Referee Larry Lisowski's ten count.
4. "Mr. Magnificent" Kevin Kelly (w/ Madusa Micelli) defeated Big Scott Hall at 9:05. During the bout, the sneaky Madusa removed the padding from a turnbuckle behind Referee Jim Bunning's back. Kelly took advantage of the opportunity and rammed Hall's head into the exposed steel leading to the winning pinfall.
5. The team of Blackjack Lanza & Big Bad Bobby Duncum (w/ Eddie "The Brain" Creatchman) defeated the Top Guns (Ricky Rice & Jon Paul DeMann) at 9:04. Eddie climbed up onto the apron and took a punch from Rice in the chops. The distraction was just what his team needed, however, as Lanza rolled up Rice from behind for the pin.
6. Big Otto Wanz over "The Mercenary from South Africa" Colonel Debeers at 10:13. Otto lifted a knee as Debeers leapt off the top rope onto him. The blow was enough to put the Colonel away for the three count.
7. AWA TV Title Match. Champion Mr. Saito (w/ Sheik Adnan El-Kaisee) turned back the challenger David Sammartino by DQ at 11:09. Sammartino was frustrated with El-Kaisee's constant interference throughout the match and pushed Referee Jim Bunning down to the mat for the disqualification. |

2. Suzette Ferrera surprised Winona Littleheart with a Small Package at 6:15 when Winona ducked her head too soon on a Back Body Drop attempt.
3. Florida Tag Team Title Match. Spoilers I & II successfully defended their belts by defeating the team of Sweet Brown Sugar & Tiger Conway Jr. at 6:57. The Spoilers combined for a Double Hot Shot on Sugar while Referee Bill Alphonso was sending Conway back to his corner. Alphonso turned around to find Spoiler #1 making the cover and counted the pin. The Spoilers retain the Tag Titles.
4. Mr. Uganda (w/ Sonny King) over Paul Ellering at 7:32. King reached into the ring and pulled Ellering's leg out from under him as he was attempting to body slam his opponent. Mr. Uganda fell on top for the pinfall. After the bout, Sonny King joined Uganda in a double team beatdown of Ellering until Lumberjack Jos LeDuc ran in with an axe handle to clear the ring of the heels.
5. The match between "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes and the Assassin was declared a "No Contest" by Referee Buddy Colt at 18:29. Total mayhem between two battle-scarred veterans and bitter rivals who chose to ignore the rules and settle things their own way. Chairs, trash cans and the time keeper's bell all came into play during the pandemonium. NWA President Bob Geigel, who was in attendance at ringside and nearly struck by stray punch, was interviewed by Gordon Solie after the bout and ordered a no count out, no DQ "Last Man Standing" rematch between these two for next week.
6. Florida Championship Match. Challenger Jim Garvin defeated defending Champ Don Muraco (w/ Sonny King & King Curtis Iaukea) by DQ due to outside interference at 25:17. Referee Scrappy McGowan called for the bell when King Curtis ran in and broke up Garvin's Figure Four Leglock. Despite the loss, Don Muraco retains the Florida Title. |

Championship Wrestling from Florida (Circa Late 70's) - Eddie Graham Sports Stadium, Orlando, FL. Att: 5,508.
Announcers: Gordon Solie & Buddy Colt
Ring Announcer: Dr. Tom Miller
Referees: Charley Laye, Sonny Myers & Bill Alphonso
1. "All-American" Bob Roop opened the show by defeating Bryan St. John with a Shoulderbreaker at 5:20.
2. Big Bill Dromo over Ron Slinker (w/ "Playboy" Gary Hart) by DQ at 4:41. Martial Arts expert and loose cannon Slinker absolutely snapped and unleashed a berserk karate attack on his opponent. Even Gary Hart seemed to be taken aback by the ferocity of Slinker's assault. Referee Sonny Myers tried to step in and was promptly tossed out of the ring. Slinker continued his barrage until wrestlers and officials alike filled the ring to subdue him. Dromo had to be stretchered to the back for immediate medical attention.
3. Lumberjack Jos Leduc stepped up the feud with former manager Sonny King and his "Family" by defeating Thor the Viking with his One Arm Backbreaker at 6:17. Leduc tried to get his hands on Sonny after the match but King managed to elude the lumberjack's grasp as he fled from ringside.
4. With all four men battling in the ring and ignoring his repeated attempts to restore order, the teams of Steve Keirn & Mike Graham and the House of Humperdink (Siegfried Stanke & Beautiful Beauregarde) were both disqualified by Referee Bill Alphonso at 7:37.
5. Billed as "The Battle of the Claw Holds" in tonight's program, Blackjack Mulligan pinned the giant Korean villain Pak Song (w/ Sonny King) ironically enough with a Flying Back Elbow Smash off the ropes at 9:24.
6. Last Man Standing Match as ordered by NWA President Bob Geigel. The Assassin stunned the fans with a victory over "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes at 18:48. It was obvious to everyone in the arena except Referee Charley Laye that the Assassin loaded his trademark yellow and black mask with some sort of small metal plate and leapt off the 2nd rope with a crushing head butt onto the Dream. Dusty went down like a ton of bricks and was unable to get back to his feet by Laye's ten count. |

Championship Wrestling from Florida (Circa Late 70's) Bayfront Center, St. Petersburg, FL. Att: 7,007.
Announcers: Gordon Solie & Barbara Clary
Ring Announcer: Jay Goodley
Referees: Scrappy McGowan, John Heath & Don Curtis
Gordon and Barbara opened the show with a progress report on Big Bill Dromo who was assaulted by Martial Arts expert and resident loose cannon Ron Slinker during their match last week. Dromo sustained multiple injuries during Slinker's berserk karate attack and is expected to be sidelined two to three weeks. Solie added that he expects NWA President Bob Geigel to levy disciplinary action against Slinker for the attack.
1. Paul Ellering was victorious in tonight's first bout against John Boy Ruffin. The powerful Ellering secured the win by submission with a Full Nelson at 4:09.
2. Raul Mata & Prince Tonga went down to the Florida Tag Team Champions, Spoilers I & II, at 5:23 in a non-title bout. Spoiler #1 walked the top rope with cat-like agility before coming off with a devastating Elbow Drop to score the pinfall on Mata.
3. Newcomer "Dirty" Don Serrano surprised "All-American" Bob Roop with a quick pin in the corner after Roop had missed a charge and hit the ring post. Serrano propped his feet on the ropes for additional leverage to hold Roop's shoulders down. After the bout, Serrano rewarded himself with a pat on the back as he left ringside. A light bulb suddenly went on in youngster Barry Horowitz' head as he sat there in the crowd at the Bayfront Center.
4. The wild and crazy Bugsy McGraw (w/ Leather Pilot's Helmet & Goggles) got a little help from his manager Sir Oliver Humperdink to defeat Tiger Conway Jr. at 8:45. Humperdink tripped Tiger with his cane as he was bounding off the ropes to set up a Big Splash from McGraw for the victory.
5. Popular Steve Keirn won by DQ over the slightly deranged Killer Karl Kox at 7:34. Kox appeared to be conversing with entities not entirely visible to those in attendance throughout the match. Apparently the voices instructed Kox to clobber Steve Keirn with a folding chair to draw the disqualification from Referee Don Curtis.
6. Emersed in a bitter feud with former manager Sonny King and "The Family", Lumberjack Jos Leduc was scheduled to face King Curtis Iaukea in the Main Event, however the devious Sonny King had other ideas. King brought Mr. Uganda with him to ringside and insisted that it be a tag match. Leduc had no partner and was prepared to wrestle both men alone in a handicap match when Jimmy Garvin suddenly bolted from the dressing room and raced into the ring to even the odds. Garvin and Leduc had good chemistry and worked well together to defeat "The Family" much to the delight of the fans. King Curtis was in the process of Body Slamming the big lumberjack when Garvin Drop Kicked his partner on top of Iaukea for the pin.

Championship Wrestling from Florida (Circa Late 70's) - Jacksonville Coliseum, Jacksonville, FL. Att: 9,093.
Announcers: Gordon Solie & Barbara Clary
Ring Announcer: Jay Goodley
Referees: Frenchy Bernard, Buddy Colt & Don Curtis
1. Mike Graham pinned Bryan St. John with a Swinging Neckbreaker at 4:55 when St. John tucked his head too soon on a Back Body Drop attempt.
2. The match between Pak Song (w/ Sonny King) and "Golden Boy" Chick Donovan was officially declared a No Contest by Referee Don Curtis at 4:04. The giant Korean heel pulverized the "Golden Boy" but refused to pin him. The devious Sonny King used the mauling of Donovan as a ploy to draw former "Family" member Jos LeDuc out of the locker room. King's plan worked to perfection as the big Lumberjack ran down to ringside to put a beating on Song. "Family" members King Curtis Iaukea and Mr. Uganda then came out of nowhere to ambush LeDuc. Sonny King's Family were finally run off by Mike Graham and the Brisco Brothers but not before putting a severe beatdown on LeDuc.
3. Sweet Brown Sugar over Mr. Uganda (w/ Sonny King) via Count Out at 5:29. Bleeding badly from a gash above his right eye, Jos LeDuc staggered back down to ringside with a folding chair in hand and chased after Sonny King. Mr. Uganda immediately bailed form the ring to come to his manager's defense and went at it with LeDuc on the floor while Referee Buddy Colt issued the ten count.
4. In a battle of Oriental Sleeper Holds vs. Figure Four Leglocks, the Brisco Brothers (Jack & Jerry) came out on top over their opponents Mr. Sato & Mr. Saito at 12:05. Things looked grim for the Briscos when Jerry was caught in Mr. Sato's Sleeper, however he was able to duck out of it and flip Sato over his back. Jerry then applied the Figure Four prompting Mr. Saito to run in and deck Referee Frenchy Bernard. All four competitors then battled it out in the ring as Bernard called for the bell and disqualified the team from Japan for Saito's actions.
5. Terry Funk came to the ring sipping on a large cup of Coca-Cola and threw it into his opponent Rocky Johnson's face to gain the early advantage in their bout. Rocky mounted a spirited comeback and had Funk reeling with a barrage of punches followed by the Johnson Shuffle but threw one Drop Kick too many during his flurry of offense. Rocky's 2nd Drop Kick found nothing but air and Funk took advantage of the mistake by grabbing a handful of tights and scoring the three count at 9:33.
6. "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes over Lars Anderson (w/ Killer Karl Kox) at 11:50. The Dream must have felt as though he were in a handicap match as Kox constantly interfered and got in several cheap shots over the course of the match. Rhodes finally decked him on the apron with a Bionic Elbow to the noggin but not before Kox was able to slip the mysterious bag of coins into the ring to Anderson. Lars' loaded punch missed, however, and Dusty promptly planted him with a Back Suplex. The Dream followed up with his signature Bionic Elbow Drop to gain the three count.

Vegas grabbed a handful of tights to make the pin.

4. "Young Pistol" Tracy Smothers over "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton (w/ Paul E. Dangerously) via Count Out at 7:43. As the action spilled OOR and onto the floor, Eaton missed a charge and crashed full steam into the ring post. "Beautiful" Bobby was down and out for the ten count.
5. WCW Tag Team Title Match (and a very one-sided title match at that). The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs & Jerry Saggs) "put a clubberin" (according to Dusty) on their opponents "Z Man" Tom Zenk & Johnny Gunn to successfully defend their belts at 7:13. Gunn took a trip to Nastyville as he was pinned by the Knobbs Powerslam/Saggs Diving Elbow Drop Combo.
6. The man called "Sting" (w/ Spikey Blonde Hair, Face Paint & A Boatload of Enthusiasm) put away Sid Vicious at 11:51 in the Main Event. Sting flipped out of Sid's Powerbomb attempt and planted his opponent with a Facebuster to score the winning pinfall. |

2. "Heavy Metal" Van Hammer (w/ Electric Guitar) over "Dangerous" Dan Spivey (w/ "Sky Scrapers" Tag Team Partner Sid Vicious) by DQ for outside interference at 6:24. Pee Wee Anderson incurred the wrath of Sid Vicious and was pushed down to the mat after the ref banished Sid from ringside for his constant interference in the match.
3. Cactus Jack (w/ Toothless Grin and "Bang Bang" Six-Gun Hand Gesture) defeated young Erik Watts (w/ Smattering of "Boos" from the Forum crowd) at 7:39. Jack was a little too savvy for the up-and-coming Watts and played possum on the mat as his opponent leapt off the top rope with a Diving Splash. Cactus managed to raise a knee before impact and pinned the stunned Watts with a handful of tights.
4. The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael P.S. Hayes & Jimmy "Jam" Garvin w/ Big Daddy Dink) beat the team of 2 Cold Scorpio & Marcus Alexander Bagwell at 7:29. The Freebirds combined for a Double DDT on Scorpio behind the referee's back while Big Daddy Dink distracted Teddy Long. Teddy turned around to find Hayes making the cover and counted the pin.
5. "All-American" Ron Simmons thwarted a pre-match sneak attack by his opponent and went on to defeat "Ravishing" Rick Rude with a Flying Shoulder Tackle off the 2nd rope at 11:03.
6. "The Enforcer" of the Dangerous Alliance Arn Anderson (w/ Paul E. Dangerously) defeated Ricky Steamboat in the Main Event at 15:49. Steamboat appeared to have the match won with a Diving Cross Body Press off the top rope but Referee Nick Patrick was toppled over in the process. Paul E. Dangerously took advantage of the situation by running into the ring and clocking Steamboat in the back of the head with his phone. Anderson hooked a leg as the dazed Patrick shook out the cobwebs to make the three count. |
