1. The U.S. Express (Mike Rotundo & Barry Windham) defeated the team of Charlie Fulton & "The Duke of Dorchester" Pete Doherty at 4:08. Doherty kept the fans amused with his unorthodox behavior before being pinned by a Bulldog out of the corner from Barry Windham.

2. The Iron Sheik (w/ Classy Freddie Blassie) over Jose Luis Rivera by submission with the Camel Clutch at 4:54. Freddie Blassie even got in a cheap shot on Rivera at one point with his Teakwood cane.

3. The popular Hillbilly Jim (w/ Lucky Horseshoe) beat "Canada's Greatest Athlete" Iron Mike Sharpe (w/ Dubious Left Forearm Pad) at 5:45. Some anxious moments for Jim as Iron Mike proved to be a handful, but the Hillbilly was finally able to score the pinfall after a Big Boot to the mush off the ropes.

4. "Ace" Cowboy Bob Orton Jr. (w/ Controversial Cast on his arm and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper) over the Tonga Kid at 7:33. Piper may have saved the day for his bodyguard by throwing a handful of powder into the Tonga Kid's eyes after Tonga had perched himself on the top rope and was ready to deliver a high risk maneuver. Orton immediately capitalized on the moment by hopping up to the 2nd turnbuckle and delivering his patented Superplex to pin his blinded opponent.

5. The Soul Patrol (Rocky Johnson & "Mr. U.S.A." Tony Atlas) defeated the rough and unpredictable Moondogs (Rex & Spot w/ Nasty Bones) by DQ at 7:27. Spot was caught red-handed clubbing Atlas from behind with one of the bones to draw the disqualification from Referee Dick Kroll.

6. In the Main Event, "Olympian" Ken Patera over Pedro Morales by disqualification at 15:20. Morales' fiery temper may have got the better of him as he was hit from behind with a Flying Knee Smash to the back by Patera while arguing with Referee Terry Yorkston over a slow count. The momentum of the blow sent Morales crashing into Yorkston and toppled the ref to the mat. A woozy Yorkston considered Morales' actions to be deliberate and immediately called for the bell.

Page beat Awesome from pillar to post before finally hitting his Diamond Cutter finisher. Incredibly, Kimberly Page ran into the ring and jumped on Referee Billy Silverman to prevent him from making the three count. DDP immediately confronted her in the ring and was maced by his own wife ! The blinded DDP staggered right into an Awesome Bomb (Running Powerbomb ) from his opponent and was laid out on the mat. Kanyon is trying to calm him down but DDP is consumed with anger.

As Sting stumbled to his feet to get his hands on Russo, Jarrett snuck up from behind and smashed his guitar over the Stinger's head. And speaking of champions, perhaps you would like to congratulate the newly crowned AWA World Champion Rick Martel who defeated you, I might add, in the tournament Semi Finals enroute to the Title ?"

Debeers (looking furious): "Sir, why would I congratulate a cheater like Martel ??"

Nelson: "A cheater ??"

Debeers: "You all saw it. I had my foot on the ropes at The Palace in Auburn Hills, but the bias American Referee Robert Warren ignored it and counted the pin anyway. Well, that may be the way you do things here in America, Sir, but where I come from it would not be tolerated ! And neither would wrestlers like Scott Hall who inflate their muscles with illegal vitamins and supplements !"

Nelson: "Now wait a minute, are you seriously suggesting that Scott Hall is using a foreign substance in his training regimen ??"

Debeers: "Sir, like all Americans, Scott Hall is a cheater. He is a different kind of cheater than Rick Martel, but he is a cheater nonetheless. Scott Hall, you may have these clueless AWA fans around here fooled, but your use and abuse of anabolic steroids has not gone unnoticed. In South Africa, we don't need to rely on drugs to build our muscles. We work out eight hours a day, seven days a week in the gymnasium. You, Sir, are a cheater, Scott Hall, and I defy you to prove me otherwise !"

Nelson (disgusted): "Alright, I've heard enough ! Let's go back up to ringside for our next contest."

Apter: "Blackjack, I know that you'ld like to say a few words before we present the trophy to Rick."
