Patrick
It's only fitting that for a great replay...the Stanley Cup Final will go to a 7th game...

GV
Hi Patrick !

It doesn't get more dramatic than this ! One of the things that I liked about the old playoff format was that you could have two teams from the same conference, or even from the same division, battling it out for the Stanley Cup !

This one is for all the marbles ! Here we go ....

George

GV
I take it back ! What's more dramatic than a Game 7 for the Stanley Cup ? A Game 7 that's decided by Overtime !!

GV
Make that Double Overtime !!

Patrick
Wow ! Great to see this great Buffalo team win the Stanley Cup !

The French Connection Era teams were fun !

And i agree with you with the playoff format that was used at that time..

I really did like the format that was used for 1980 and 1981...

Top 16 in the league...1 Vs 16,2 Vs 15...Too bad it's only lasted two seasons !

Fantastic Job that you did for this season can't wait too see what next !

Patrick

GV
Thank you kindly, Patrick ! I'm glad that you enjoyed the replay ! As is so often the case in the playoffs, the heroics were provided by an unlikely source with Rick Dudley netting the game winner for the Sabres !

George
