WWF Monday Night RAW Results (Attitude Era Circa Late 90's) - UTC Arena, Chattanooga, TN.

Commentators: Jim Ross & Jerry "The King" Lawler
Ring Announcer: Howard Finkel
Referees: Mike Sparks, Jim Korderas & Mike Chioda

1. Too Much (Brian "Too Sexy" Christopher & Scott "Too Hot" Taylor) beat the Hardy Boyz (Matt & Jeff Hardy w/ Michael Hayes) at 7:55. After pre-match and modifier adjustments, the Hardy Boyz were the favorites to win this contest, but Kaientai had other ideas. Yamaguchi-San and his Kamikaze crew have been holding a grudge against the Hardyz ever since their double count out tag team match in Columbus, Ohio. Kaientai's Sho Funaki snuck into the ring and reversed Jeff Hardy's small package cradle on Brian Christopher while Referee Mike Sparks was distracted by Michael Hayes chasing Yamaguchi-San around the ring. The official turned around to find Christopher on top and counted the pin. Jerry Lawler took great delight in Too Much's victory ! The King had showered Christopher with praise throughout the contest and was accused of "blatant bias" by Ol' JR during the commentary. Not only did Lawler deny those allegations, he also denied seeing Funaki reverse the cradle and insisted that Too Much won the match fair and square.

Never at a loss for words, Jim Cornette cut a great promo backstage in support of his New Midnight Express tag team and "Bombastic" Bob Holly in particular. (Holly was scheduled to face Christian of the Brood one-on-one in our next contest.) Cornette's ringing endorsement added 50 additional points to Bombastic Bob's total. Christian chose to do his talking in the ring and walked down the aisle with a microphone to address Cornette's comments. Just as he was about to begin his rebuttal, Mr. McMahon's "No Chance !" theme music suddenly blared over the PA system. The kingpin of the WWF emerged on the ramp along with his bungling associates Gerald Brisco & Pat Patterson. Christian began to speak and was abruptly interrupted.

Mr. McMahon: "You're new here, aren't you, kid ?"

Christian nodded.

Mr. McMahon: "What's your name again? Christopher, is it ?"

Pat Patterson then whispered something into Mr. McMahon's ear.

Mr. McMahon: "Christian ?"

Christian nodded again.

Mr. McMahon: "Alright, Christopher, Here's how it works. When I talk, that means that you shut up and listen. Got it ?"

(Loud boos from the crowd !)

Christian began to speak again and was once more interrupted by Mr. McMahon.

Mr. McMahon: "Cut his damn mic off ! I said cut it off ! "

Gerald Brisco made a slashing motion across his throat. Christian's microphone immediately went silent.

Mr. McMahon: "I'm Vince McMahon, dammit ! You never interrupt me ! If you don't like it, Christopher, then you can go wrestle down south for Uncle Ted !

(More boos from the crowd !)

Mr. McMahon: "I'm going to make this next match a little more interesting. If Christopher here wins, then the Brood get a title match against the tag team champion Headbangers next week on RAW. If Holly wins, then the New Midnight Express get the title shot. And you know what, Christopher ? I think the New Midnight Express get that match because I don't think that you have what it takes to make it in this business ! When I look in that ring, I see nothing but a punk ! I hope Holly kicks your butt !"

McMahon, Patterson and Brisco return to the back to loud boos as Christian motions to "Bring it !"

2. Christian (w/ The Brood's Gangrel & Edge) over "Bombastic" Bob Holly (w/ Jim Cornette & The New Midnight Expresses' "Bodacious" Bart Gunn) at 6:58. In addition to the points he received from Jim Cornette's earlier promo, Holly further boosted his total after a roll on his Cheating Modifier. Christian was easily the fan favorite thanks to Mr. McMahon's tongue lashing and rewarded the fans for their support with some flashy aerial maneuvers. A Missile Drop Kick from the top rope set up Christian's Impaler finisher (Inverted Double Underhook Facebuster) for the three count.

Christian was celebrating in the ring with Edge and Gangrel when Mr. McMahon's "No Chance !" music began playing once more. Mr. McMahon re-emerged on the ramp with Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco in tow to loud boos. Christian immediately grabbed Howard Finkel's mircrophone.

Christian: "Now what ??"

Mr. McMahon (humbly): "I have to admit... you showed me something tonight, kid."

(The fans cheer!)

Christian: "The Brood get a title match against the Headbangers next week, right ?? All these people heard you say it !"

Mr. McMahon: "That's right."

(Loud cheers from the fans!) Christian nods triumphantly as Gangrel and Edge pat him on the back.

Mr. McMahon: "Except that .... "

Jerry Lawler: "Uh, oh, here it comes JR !"

Mr. McMahon: "It'll be Edge & Gangrel wrestling that match for the championship next week and not you, Christopher !"

Jerry Lawler: "What ??"

Christian's jaw dropped in obvious disappointment as the fans boo.

Mr. McMahon (sneering): "And do you know why, Christopher ? BECAUSE I DON'T LIKE YOU, THAT'S WHY !!"

Jerry Lawler: "He sure told him ! You shouldn't get on Mr. McMahon's bad side !"

JR: "This isn't right, King ! Christian's getting a raw deal here in my opinion."

Jerry Lawler: "He's Mr. McMahon ! He can do what he wants !"

"No Chance!" plays again as Mr. McMahon returns backstage with Brisco and Patterson.

3. The Nation of Domination's Kama Mustafa (w/ Faarooq, D'Lo Brown & Mark Henry) over Test by DQ at 4:50. This might as well have been a Handicap Match for Test due to the rampant and relentless interference of Mustafa's fellow Nation members. Referee Mike Chioda did his best, but it was impossible for him to catch everything. Test's patience finally ran out after he was blatantly tripped to the canvas by Faarooq. He made the mistake of pushing Chioda to the mat after the official had refused his demand to send Mustafa's corner men to the back. Chioda immediately called for the bell and awarded the match to Mustafa by disqualification.

4. Dumpster Match - Road Dogg Jesse James of D-Generation X (w/ "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) vs Chainsaw Charlie. There are no pinfalls, DQs, submissions or count outs. The match is won by throwing your opponent into an open dumpster at ringside. "Oh, you didn't know ?? Your ass better call somebody !" brought out "the D-O-Double G". D-Generation X are heels, but they appeal to some of the WWF's fan base. Like all of the DX members, Road Dogg has his fans who shout his catchphrases right along with him. Chainsaw Charlie (Middle-aged crazy Terry Funk) apparently heard enough and attacked the Road Dogg before the bell to inflict 100 points worth of damage. This bout quickly took on the characteristics of a Hardcore Match with both combatants battering one another with whatever objects they could find underneath the ring. Billy Gunn did manage to help his New Age Outlaw partner out with some dirty double teaming, however Charlie sent him stumbling to the back after spraying the Bad Ass in the eyes with a fire extinguisher. Minutes later, Road Dogg rammed the back of Charlie's head into the dumpster with a Russian Leg Sweep and then tossed him inside for the victory at 8:01.

5. WWF Intercontinental Champion Owen Hart defeated "Lethal Weapon' Steve Blackman in a non-title match at 7:43. Blackman brought a duffel bag of martial weapons with him to ringside, but was never able to use any of them during the bout. Hart was in control for much of the match, helped in part by a missed corner charge in which Blackman jammed his knee hard into the turnbuckle. The Lethal Weapon's miscue was the perfect prelude to Hart's Sharpshooter finisher with Blackman tapping out to the grueling submission hold.

6. Adult film star Val Venis (w/ Ryan Shamrock) over "The World's Most Dangerous Man" (and Ryan's big brother) Ken Shamrock in controversial fashion at 5:50. Ryan nearly cost her man the match when she reached into the ring and accidentally tripped Venis to the mat. Ken Shamrock immediately pounced on the mistake and applied his Ankle Lock on the prone Venis. The former porn star quickly tapped out, but Referee Mike Chioda had taken a bad bump to the canvas and missed the submission as he tried to shake out the cobwebs. Looking to redeem herself, Ryan then raced into the ring and walloped her brother in the back of the head with a loaded purse. It was lights out for Ken Shamrock. Val Venis labored to climb up to the top rope, but delivered The Money Shot (Diving Splash) finisher with the dazed Chioda crawling over to count the pin. When the World's Most Dangerous Man finally came to, he went ballistic and flattened Chioda with a Belly To Belly Suplex before storming to the back in search of Venis & his sister.

7. "HBK" Shawn Michaels & Hunter Hearst Helmsley of D-Generation X (w/ Chyna) defeated WWF Champion "Stone Cold" Steve Austin & Dude Love in our tag team Main Event at 13:13. Michaels was holding court in the ring and cutting a promo when the Dude & Austin rushed in and attacked before the bell. DX were caught off guard and lost 50 points to start. Once the match officially got under way, Triple H and HBK took control and wore down Dude Love by preventing him from tagging out. Referee Mike Sparks had his hands full trying to keep the over-anxious Austin from entering. All mayhem broke loose, however, once the official was knocked to the canvas. The resilient Dude found his second wind and clamped the Love Handle (Mandible Claw) onto Helmsley prompting Chyna to rush into the ring and break the hold with a chair shot from behind. A succession of finishing moves quickly followed. Much to the crowd's delight, Austin KO'd Chyna with the Stone Cold Stunner, but then turned right into Michaels' Sweet Chin Music Superkick. In the meantime, Triple H had given Dude Love a Pedigree onto the now-dented chair that Chyna brought into the ring. Sparks recovered to count the pin for Helmsley. HBK & Triple H pulled the woozy Chyna from the ring and helped her to the back.

"Cowboy" Bill Watts' UWF Results (Circa Late 80's) - Blackham Coliseum, Lafayette, LA. Att: 3,892.

Announcers: Jim Ross & Magnum T.A.
Ring Announcer: "Jolting" Joe Bryan
Referees: Edward Faulk, Ron West & Tommy Gilbert

1. Like former New York Jet's quarterback Joe Willie Namath before him, "Broadway" Joe Malcolm made a bold prediction during a prematch interview with Jim Ross in which he brashly stated that he would beat Brett Wayne Sawyer so decisively that it would force his opponent into retirement from the sheer embarrassment caused to the Sawyer family name. Well, I doubt there were any bookies in Vegas who would take those long odds. As it turned out, Mr. Malcolm was thoroughly out wrestled from the opening bell and pinned by Sawyer with Flying Forearm Smash to the head at 3:37. It should be noted that there was plenty of embarrassment to go around for "Broadway Joe" tonight. Not only had his bogus prediction backfired, but Mr. Malcolm also had his trunks inadvertently pulled down by Sawyer on a botched Sunset Flip attempt resulting in a "full moon" over Lafayette.

2. Dick Murdoch was in a particularly bad mood this evening and took his wrath out on opponent Perry Jackson. Perry was battered from pillar to post and even smashed with Ring Announcer Joe Bryan's microphone when the action spilled onto the floor. Once back inside the ring, Murdoch quickly finished off Jackson with his Delayed Brainbuster at 4:22.

3. General Skandor Akbar of Devastation Incorporated cannot be pleased with Chavo Guerrero's victory over "Wild" Bill Irwin at 6:27. Akbar tried to toss a foreign object into the ring for Irwin to use but it sailed over his head. As Wild Bill was bending over to retrieve the weapon, he was cradled in a Small Package by Chavo for the pinfall.

4. The Lightning Express (Brad Armstrong & "White Lightning" Tim Hoerner) defeated the Jive Tones (Shaska Whatley & Tiger Conway Jr.) at 8:49. It was shades of the legendary Rock & Roll Express when Hoerner and Armstrong combined for a Double Drop Kick to gain the three count on Shaska.

5. "UWF Rookie of the Year" Shane Douglas might have bitten off a little more than he could chew when he signed the dotted line to face "Louisville Slugger" Big Bubba Rogers tonight. Rogers showed why he is the number one contender to UWF Champion Steve "Dr. Death" Williams' crown by soundly defeated the youngster with his formidable bulk. The Louisville Slugger flattened Douglas with a sidewalk slam off the ropes and followed that up with a pulverizing Splash off the top turnbuckle for the pinfall at 7:03.

6. The Main Event bout between Sting and the First Family's Rick Steiner was ruled a Double Disqualification by Referee Ron West at 9:13 when the match degenerated into a Pier 6 Brawl due to the interference of "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert, Terry Taylor and "Gentleman" Chris Adams. Despite being outnumbered, Adams & Sting held their own and drove off the heels much to the delight of the crowd.

"Cowboy" Bill Watts' UWF Results (Circa Late 80's) - Tulsa Convention Center, Tulsa, OK. Att: 6,292.

Announcers: Jim Ross & Magnum T.A.
Ring Announcer: "Jolting" Joe Bryan
Referees: Carl Fergie, Tony Torres & Ronnie West

1. Youngster Davey Haskins was pulverized by the "Ugandan Giant" Kamala (w/ Handler Friday & General Skandor Akbar). Kamala layed on the big overhand chops tonight and then caught Davey flush on the chin with a barefoot Crescent Kick. Haskins went down like a shot and then suffered a huge Splash to the back from the Ugandan Giant. Friday had to instruct Kamala to roll his opponent over to make the pin at 2:47.

2. "Cuban Hitman" Gustavo Mendoza made the mistake of trying to swipe "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan's beloved 2 x 4 from the apron during OOR action and was sent face-first into the wooden ring steps for his trouble. Mendoza never recovered from the blow and was bulldozed by Duggan's Running Forearm to the head from a 3 Pt. Stance shortly after for the three count. The time of the fall was 3:32.

3. Tulsa's very own Steve Cox won a moral victory over Devastation Incorporated's Bad, Bad Leroy Brown. Cox took the fight to his opponent prompting Leroy's devious manager Skandor Akbar to remove the padding from a corner turnbuckle to give his man an edge. Even that didn't work as Cox reversed a would be head smash and sent Brown's face into the exposed steel instead. Leroy staggered backward into a Russian Leg Sweep from Cox for what appeared to be a certain pin until Akbar pulled Referee Tony Torres out of the ring by his ankles to stop the three count. Your winner by DQ at 7:44: Steve Cox.

4. Despite a decisive height and weight advantage, Kortsia Korchenko's massive girth could not bring him a victory over crafty Ted Dibiase tonight. The plodding Russian was simply to slow to inflict any sustained punishment to Dibiase. Worse yet, Korchenko became distracted by the incessant "U.S.A.!" chant's from the crowd and was rolled up from behind by Dibiase for the 1-2-3 at 7:18.

5. UWF TV Title Match. "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert, who seems to have nine lives when it comes to retaining his Television Title, needed a little help from the First Family tonight to get by challenger Sam Houston. Terry Taylor came to Gilbert's rescue by baiting Houston into a confrontation on the floor and bashing the lanky cowboy in the head with his steel haliburton of Chris Adams' bounty money while Missy Hyatt kept Referee Carl Fergie occupied. Fergie finally turned his attention back to the match and laid the ten count on the dazed Houston who was still trying to shake out the cobwebs on the floor. Your winner by Count Out at 9:51 and still UWF TV Champion: "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert.

6. An absolute war between the Fabulous Freebirds (Michael P.S. Hayes & Buddy Roberts) and the Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Cousin Luke Williams) rendered no winner in tonight's Main Event. The boys from Badstreet, Atlanta GA can mix it up any way you want it and more than held their own against the belligerent Kiwis. Wrestling holds were hard to come by in this slugfest as Referee Ronnie West struggled to maintain any semblance of order. West had no choice but to call for the bell and throw the match out at 11:26 when the participants took turns bashing one another with folding chairs, Joe Bryan's microphone and the Sheepherders New Zealand Flagpole.

"Cowboy" Bill Watts' UWF Results (Circa Late 80's) - Riverside Centroplex, Baton Rouge, LA. Att: 5,738

Announcers: Jim Ross & "Jolting" Joe Bryan
Ring Announcer: Boyd Pierce
Referees: Tommy Gilbert, Alfred Neely & Ron West

1. "Wildman" Mike Boyette cut a scathing promo on his opponent Savannah Jack during a prematch interview with Joe Bryan. The tirade earned Boyette 50 extra bonus points but it was not nearly enough to help him pull out a victory in tonight's opening bout. Savannah shut Mike's big mouth with a Superkick to the chops for the 1-2-3 at 3:52.

2. Brett Wayne Sawyer over "Mr. Superb" Steve Doll in a terrific see-saw contest at 8:49. Doll let his ego get the better of him which ultimately cost him the match. Mr. Superb caught his opponent with a Flying Forearm to the head off the ropes but opted to do a little strut in the ring and showboat for the crowd instead of going for a pin. When Doll finally got around to attempting a cover, Sawyer was ready for him and cradled Mr. Superb in a Small Package for the victory.

3. Brickhouse Brown was at a huge size disadvantage against the hulking brute Lord Humongous and it showed in the end results. Humongous tossed Brown around the ring like a rag doll and dominated from the onset. Brickhouse's attempt at a Flying Cross Body Press was thwarted when his opponent caught him in mid air and delivered a bruising Backbreaker across the knee. As Brown was getting back to his feet, he was grabbed by the throat and given a Chokeslam for the pinfall at 5:46.

4. The exciting young team of Shane Douglas & Steve Cox defeated their Russian counterparts Vladimir Petrov & Kortsia Korchenko at 8:18. The "U.S.A. !" chants were boisterous and frequent in the arena tonight which agitated the heels to no end. Cox and Douglas used their speed and agility to offset their opponents strength and size advantage over the course of the match. Korchenko was in the process of hoisting Cox up for a body slam when Douglas ran in with a well placed Drop Kick that sent the big Russian down to the mat with Cox on top for the pin.

5. Devastation Incorporated's One Man Gang (w/ General Skandor Akbar) over Brad Armstrong at 7:50. Brad can wrestle with the best of them but his opponent had no interest in a scientific match. The Gang unloaded with a barrage of clubbing forearms, head butts and stomps to set the pace in the early going. Armstrong tried to retaliate in kind with ten punches in the corner while perched on the 2nd rope and was temporarily blinded by a handful of powder from Skandor Akbar. The Gang seized the moment with a Reverse Atomic Drop to send Brad down to the canvas and followed up with a 747 Splash to put him away for the three count.

6. If you're a Terry Taylor fan, than this one was not pretty. Taylor may have bit off more than he could chew by getting on Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy's bad side. Taylor has cost Gordy some matches in the past by interferring with his steel haliburton of bounty money prompting this grudge match. "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert and "The First Lady of Professional Wrestling" Missy Hyatt were at ringside to lend their support to Taylor but were largely neutralized by the presence of Gordy's fellow Freebirds Michael P.S. Hayes and Buddy Roberts. The best Gilbert could do was slide a folding chair into the ring and hope for the best, but it was Gordy who capitalized by planting Taylor face-first onto it with a Bulldog from behind for the pinfall at 9:38.

"Cowboy" Bill Watts' UWF Results (Circa Late 80's) - Lake Charles Civic Center, Lake Charles, LA. Att: 4,833.

Announcers: Jim Ross & Magnum T.A.
Ring Announcer: "Jolting" Joe Bryan
Referees: Rick Ferrara, Jerry Usher & Carl Fergie

1. General Skandor Akbar unveiled the newest member of Devastation Incorporated, the Super Ninja, in tonight's opening bout against Davey Haskins. Clad in black from head to toe, the mysterious man from the Orient took apart Haskins with his martial arts skills before inducing a submission with a Stump Puller (Single Leg Inverted Boston Crab ) at 3:39.

2. The Red Devil could muster little in the way of a challenge for the lanky Texan Sam Houston. In a comical moment, the Devil had his mask turned around on his face by Sam causing him to grope around the ring in search of Referee Jerry Usher for assistance. Usher did help straighten out the mask, but it was just in time for the Red Devil to catch a haymaker on the chin followed by a Flying Cowboy Lariat from Houston for the pinfall at 3:55.

We are treated to a short vignette featuring an interview with "Jolting" Joe Bryan and UWF Television Champion "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert apparently taped by the pool outside Gilbert's hotel room. Eddie is in a lounge chair working on his tan and, yes, he's wearing his TV Title Belt around his waist which causes Bryan to roll his eyes. "I bet you wear that belt to bed with you at night don't you, Eddie?" Gilbert can't deny it and claims that his TV Title is more prestigious than all the other belts in professional wrestling including the UWF Championship of Steve "Dr. Death" Williams. The camera keeps panning over to the scanitly clad Missy Hyatt lying in a eensy weensy polka-dot bikini beside Eddie causing the annoyed Gilbert to grab the lens and redirect the focus on himself. "Jolting" Joe rattles off the names of contenders for the Televison Title including Sam Houston and Eddie's opponent this evening, "Gentleman" Chris Adams illiciting a light-hearted chuckle from Hot Stuff. "You might consider them contenders, Joe Bryan, but I sure don't. And let me tell you another thing, the First Family has a little surprise in store for "Gentleman" Chris Adams tonight. Just you wait and see!"

3. The veteran team of Art Crews & "The Raging Greek" Mike Pappas put up a good fight but fell victim to the brutal tactics of the Kiwi Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Cousin Luke Williams) in the end. Both Pappas and Crews felt the sting of the New Zealand Flag Pole in this one, however it was a Double Gutbuster that ultimately put the Raging Greek away for the three count at 6:04.

4. UWF Champion Steve "Dr. Death" Williams from the University of Oklahoma defeated Shaska Whatley (w/ Jive Tones tag team partner Tiger Conway Jr.) in a non-title bout. As it turned out, Conway's presence at ringside had little to no effect on the outcome of this match. Dr. Death ran wild and put Shaska away with his patented Oklahoma Stampede (Running Powerslam) at 7:47. Conway then ran and also received a Stampede for his trouble.

5. The UWF Television Title Match pitting "Gentleman" Chris Adams against Champion "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert ended in a No Contest. Everyone was expecting fireworks when Terry Taylor of the First Family escorted Eddie to ringside along with "The First Lady of Professional Wrestling" Missy Hyatt, so it came as no surprise when Adams and Taylor squared off before the bell. Gilbert immediately interjected himself into the scuffle to create a dangerous double team situation. Fortunately for Adams, Sting was in the building and raced into the ring to even the odds. While it may not have been on their programs, the fans were treated to quite a battle between the four competitiors. Eddie Gilbert retains the UWF TV Title.

6. There was plenty more mayhem in the 6 Man Tag Team Main Event featuring the Fabulous Freebirds (Michael P.S. Hayes, Buddy Roberts & Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy) against General Skandor Akbar's Devastation Incorporated ("Wild" Bill Irwin, Eli the Eliminator & Bad, Bad Leroy Brown). Unlike its predecessor, this match did have a final outcome. Wild Bill was the recepient of the Bam Bam Slam (Gordy Assisted Powerslam off the 2nd rope) for the winning pinfall at 12:40.

ESPN presents the AWA (Circa Mid 80's) - Tropicana Hotel Casino, Atlantic City, NJ. Att: 2,849.

Announcers: Ken Resnick & "Dapper" Dave Prill
Ring Announcer: Larry Nelson
Referees: Gary DeRusha, Robert Warren & Marty Miller

1. The Tropicana crowd was indifferent toward "Polish Prince" Steve Olsonoski and his partner "Olympian" Brad Rheingans, however the loss of popularity points had little effect on their ability to defeat Dennis Stamp & Tom "Rocky" Stone. Stamp went for a ride on Steve O's Airplane Spin and was then finished off by a Bridging Back Suplex from Rheingans shortly thereafter. The time of the match was 4:46.

2. Sheik Adnan El-Kaisee and his protégé King Tonga did not take kindly to Anthony "Earthquake" Ferris interrupting their pre-match interview with "Dapper" Dave Prill. The bad blood spilled over into their match with both men bludgeoning one another with various objects that were found around ringside. Referee Robert Warren had enough and called for the bell at 6:04. The official decision was a Double Disqualification.

3. The fans were treated to a terrific ladies match pitting the Magnificent Mimi against Velvet McIntyre. Both gals had their opportunities during the contest but were unable to put their opponents away. Mimi found herself caught in a pinning predicament as McIntyre had her shoulders to the mat with a Backslide, but the 10:00 time limit had already expired. The match was ruled a Draw by Referee Marty Miller.

4. Leon "The Baby Bull" White over Nord the Barbarian (w/ Sheik Adnan El-Kaisee) at 7:18. Wrestling holds were hard to come by in this slugfest. Nord seemed to be getting the better of the battle until both men clobbered one another with simultaneous clotheslines. Nord was trying to get back to his feet when he was caught from behind in a Schoolboy Roll Up by the Baby Bull for the winning pinfall.

5. "Mr. Electricity" Steve Regal & "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin (w/ Valet Precious) had all they could handle with the speedy Top Guns (Ricky Rice & Jon Paul Deman). Rice was perched on the 2nd rope and giving Gorgeous Jimmy ten punches in the corner when he was sprayed in the eyes with aerosol by Precious. Garvin then went for a quick cover on his blinded opponent but Referee Robert Warren had seen Precious' interference and called for the disqualification at 8:45.

6. AWA Television Champion "High Flyer" Greg Gagne put his title on the line against "Mr. Magnificent" Kevin Kelly (w/ Madusa Micelli) in tonight's Main Event. The bout was being dominated by Gagne until Madusa slipped a roll of coins into the ring to Mr. Magnificent who then slugged the Champ with a loaded haymaker. Dimes scattered about the canvas with Referee Marty Miller prying the balance of the roll out of Kelly's hand. The challenger was immediately DQ'd for the blatant cheating. A woozy Greg Gagne retains the AWA TV Title.

AWA Results (Circa Mid 80's) - Lacrosse Center, Lacrosse, WI. Att: 5,820.

Ring Announcer: "Dapper" Dave Prill
Referees: Scott Ledoux, Larry Lisowski & Doug Gilbert

1. Tony Leone vs. Buck "Rock n' Roll" Zumhoffe (w/ Blaring Boom Box)

Veteran rule breaker Tony Leone's rough style posed some problems for the fleet Zumhoffe. Tony managed to keep the rocker grounded in the early going with a steady assault of kicks, eye rakes and punches, but a reverse head smash to the turnbuckle soon turned the tide in Zumhoffe's favor. Buck hopped up to the 2nd rope and leapt off with a Reverse Cross Body Press to put the dazed Leone's shoulders to the mat for the 1-2-3 at 6:14.

2. "The Mercenary from South Africa" Colonel DeBeers vs. Pete Sanchez

DeBeers showed why he is one of the most hated competitors in the AWA by riling up the fans with his political propaganda before the opening bell. The vile Colonel expounded upon the virtues of Apartheid and denounced American democracy and foreign policy. Debeers used the bonus points from his tirade to trounce his opponent in a strictly lopsided contest. Sanchez went down to the South African Facebuster at 4:06.

3. Jake "The Milkman" Milliman & Anthony "Earthquake" Ferris vs. The Long Riders ("Wild" Bill Irwin & Scott "Hog" Irwin)

The portly Ferris and his diminutive partner Jake Milliman made for an odd pairing but worked well together in the ring to keep this bout competitive. The Irwin Brothers were eventually able to isolate the Milkman and use their size advantage to wear him down. "Wild" Bill probably could have pinned Milliman after a Superplex from the top rope but opted to tag in Scott who sealed the deal with a Running Leg Drop moments later. The time of the fall was 5:59.

4. "Canada's Greatest Athlete" Slick Nick Kiniski (w/ "Mr. Magnificent" Kevin Kelly & Madusa Micelli) vs. Crusher Jerry Blackwell

Kiniski's mouth has a tendency of writing checks that his wrestling ability can't cover. Such was the case tonight for the cocky Canadien who berated Blackwell in a prematch interview with Dave Prill as being both overweight and over-the-hill. Once inside the squared circle, however, Blackwell lived up to his name by pulverizing Kiniski with a running corner avalanche followed by a ring-shaking Big Splash that flattened Slick Nick like a pancake. Kevin Kelly ran in to break up what appeared to be a sure three count and draw the disqualification on Kiniski at 6:54.

5. "Olympian" Brad Rheingans vs. "Playboy" Buddy Rose (w/ "Sensational" Sherri Martel).

"Don't even go there" was the advice that Buddy Rose gave to "Dapper" Dave Prill when it came time to announce the Playboy's weight during the ring introductions. Mr. Rose is rather sensitive about his girth and tried to quiet the fans as they heckled him with chants of "Pillsbury Dough Boy!" Despite his bulk, Rose can wrestle and move pretty fluidly about the ring. He surprised Rheingans with a fairly scientific match that featured various clean breaks both in the corners and on the ropes. Perhaps it was all a ruse to lull Rheingans to sleep, for in the end Rose was Rose and pinned his opponent with a handful of tights at 8:29 after rolling through a Flying Body Press.

6. AWA World Championship Re-Match. The Champion, "Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko (w/ Mr. Go the Black Ninja) vs. Challenger and former Champion Rick Martel.

It was an ominous sign for the Champ when Referee Scott Ledoux, with whom Zbyszko has quarreled with frequently in the past, ordered Mr.Go back to the dressing room. You may recall that the Ninja, and his nunchucks in particular, were quite instrumental in assisting Zbyszko's victory over Martel for the AWA Title a while back. As always, Larry did a lot of stalling.... and complaining to Ledoux.... and more stalling..... and jawing with the fans..... followed by yet more stalling before the action commenced in earnest. There was controversy a plenty in the end when a series of rolling cradles ended up with Martel on top and Ledoux applying the three count at 17:13 despite the Living Legend's foot being under the ropes. Zbyszko vehemently protested the decision and threatened to have his attorneys sue everyone from Scott Ledoux to Commissioner Stanley Blackburn to Verne Gagne and the whole AWA Championship Committee. In the meantime, Ledoux's ruling will stand. Rick Martel regains the AWA Championship !

1. "California Kid" Tommy Jammer (w/ Surf Board & Beach Boys' Entrance Music) was counted out in his match against Rick Gantner at 4:58. Tommy was dominated the match until "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin strolled down to ringside with his Valet Precious in tow. Garvin grabbed the California Kid's surf board and was heading backstage with it when Jammer bolted from the ring in hot pursuit. A confrontation ensued with Tommy getting sprayed in the eyes with a cloud of mist from Precious' aerosol can. The blinded Jammer stumbled around ringside and could not make Referee Marty Miller's ten count.

2. The bout between Alexis Smirnoff and Jake "The Milkman" Milliman came to an abrupt end at 3:10 when "Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko entered the ring with Ring Announcer Larry Nelson's microphone and went on a verbal tirade against AWA Commissioner Stanley Blackburn and the federation's Championship Committee. Zbyszko accused Blackburn of hatching a "conspiracy" to strip him of the AWA Championship and threatened to sue the company. You may recall that Zbyszko lost the belt back to former champion Rick Martel in controversial fashion in Lacrosse, WI when he was pinned while having a foot under the bottom rope. Referee Bob Lurtsema had no choice but to call this a "No Decision".

3. Buck "Rock & Roll" Zumhoffe cut a spirited pre-match interview with Larry Nelson and then got the fans to clap along to Bob Seger's "Old Time Rock 'N Roll" which was blaring from his boombox. The extra points that Buck earned helped carry him to victory over his opponent Boris Zhukov (w/ Sheik Adnan El-Kaisee) at 7:29. Zhukov ran into a raised knee on a corner charge and was finished off with a Reverse Body Drop off the 2nd rope by Zumhoffe moments later.

4. A miscue by "Mr. Magnificent" Kevin Kelly led to disaster for his partner "Canada's Greatest Athlete" Slick Nick Kiniski in their tag match against the veteran tandem of Crusher Blackwell & Baron Von Raschke. Kelly dropped off the apron to avoid the Baron's Iron Claw Hold and then reached into the ring in an attempt to trip Von Raschke but ended up toppling Kiniski instead. The Baron then tagged in Blackwell who delivered a big running Splash to pin Slick Nick at 8:28.

5. The Masked Superstar (w/ Sheik Adnan El-Kaisee) defeated "Polish Prince" Steve Olsonoski in a hard fought battle at 9:02. Credit El-Kaisee's interference for contributing to the Superstar's victory. The feisty manager distracted Steve O just enough to throw him off his game. Olsonoski took a swing at the Sheik and then turned around right into a quick boot to the midsection from the Superstar. The masked man quickly followed up with a Swinging Neckbreaker to put the Polish Prince away.

6. Curt Hennig over “Gorgeous” Jimmy Garvin (w/ Precious) in the Main Event at 10:51. Garvin, who strutted down to ringside with ZZ Top’s “Sharp Dessed Man” during his entrance, was in control of this match until Tommy Jammer emerged from the back. The “California Kid” was no doubt looking for a little revenge after Gorgeous Jimmy’s interference cost him his match earlier in the program. Jammer chased Precious around the ring which quickly caught the attention of Gorgeous Jimmy. Hennig was able to capitalize on the moment with a quick roll up from behind to hold Garvin’s shoulders to the mat for the winning three count.

AWA Results (Circa Mid 80's) - Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena, Green Bay, WI. Att: 5,393.

Announcers: Ron Trongard & Lord James Blears
Ring Announcer: "Dapper" Dave Prill
Referees: Robert Warren, Larry Lisowski & Scott Ledoux

1. Big Scott Hall was tested by the veteran Dennis Stamp but emerged victorious at 5:35. Stamp's brawling and blatant disregard for the rules seemed to keep Hall off balance in the early going, however a telegraphed Back Body Drop attempt quickly turned the momentum of the match. Stamp ate a boot to the chin and was then planted with a Back Suplex to set up the Hall Buster (Running Bulldog) for the pinfall.

2. The fans didn't know quite what to make of the Killer Tomato Debi Pelletier during Dave Prill's ring introductions. While the lukewarm reception cost her some points, she quickly won the crowd over with a spirited contest against opponent Candi Devine. The Tomato surprised Candi with a Flying Forearm off the ropes, but landed on raised knees when she tried to follow up with a Running Splash. Devine cradled her doubled-over opponent in a Small Package for the three count at 7:44.

3. Sheik Adnan El-Kaisee was greeted by chants of "Sheik's a freak !" as he led his stable hand King Tonga to the ring to take on "Jamming" Mitch Snow. Although El-Kaisee didn't actually interfere in this bout, his presence around ringside clearly distracted Snow. Tonga caught his preoccupied opponent with a Thrust Kick to the jaw for the winning pin after Snow's attention had once more been diverted by the devious manager. The time of the fall was 6:34.

4. "California Kid" Tommy Jammer wowed the ladies with his West Coast tan and beach boy good looks, but was overmatched against "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin and his entourage of Valet Precious and "Mr. Electricity" Steve Regal. Jammer rallied to mount a comeback, but his flurry of offense was cut short when Regal reached into the ring and tripped him as he bounded off the ropes. The Califorian Kid stumbled right into a Brainbuster from Garvin for the three count at 7:13.

5. Although they were the heels, "Precious" Paul Ellering's Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) received the lion's share of the crowd support in their tag match against "Olympian" Brad Rheingans & "Polish Prince" Steve Olsonoski. This tag match featured a stark contrast of styles pitting the Warrior's brute strength against their opponents' superior technical mat skills. Referee Larry Lisowski was on the verge of throwing the match out when Steve O and his partner were drawn into a four man free-for-all with the Warriors in the ring, but counted the pin after Rheingans was flattened by a Flying Shoulder Tackle off the 2nd rope by Hawk. Replays showed that Olsonoski was the legal man for his team at the time of the fall, but Lisowski's decision stood.

6. "High Flyer" Greg Gagne put his AWA TV Title on the line against "The Mercenary from South Africa" Colonel DeBeers in the Main Event. The "Champion of Apartheid" DeBeers dominated much of this bout with the aid of a hidden foreign object, but allowed himself to be distracted by some hecklers at ringside. The Colonel was spouting off his twisted political rheteric with the fans when he was Drop Kicked from behind by his opponent right into a corner turnbuckle. DeBeers staggered backward right into a Schoolboy Roll Up for the three count at 10:12. Greg Gagne retains the AWA Television Title.

1. Matt Hardy (w/ Jeff Hardy & Michael Hayes) vs. Kaientai's Dick Togo (w/ Yamaguchi-San & Men's Teioh)

Prior to the match, Michael Hayes was cutting a promo in the ring with Matt Hardy when Terri Runnels came out with a microphone of her own and interrupted them. Runnels, aka Marlena, has been looking for someone to manage after parting ways with Goldust. She praised the Hardy Boyz as an exciting, up-and-coming young team in the WWF and offered up her services to them. Terri said that she would put them on the fast track to tag team gold if they would give her the opportunity. Matt sheepishly declined the proposition, however Michael Hayes was not so kind. "They don't need your services, lady, because they have me ! I know more about tag team wrestling than you'll ever know so take a hike !" Terri just shrugged her shoulders with an "Oh, well," and returned to the back. Fully aware of the bad blood existing between Kaientai and the Hardyz, Referee Chad Patton ordered both grapplers' respective corner men to return to the back before the contest got under way. Togo held the advantage in the early going mainly due to the points that were deducted from Matt's total after Terri's interruption, but a missed Senton Splash from the top rope abruptly shifted the momentum in Hardy's favor. Matt would go on to hit the Twist of Fate (Front Facelock Cutter), but Chad Patton had taken a bad spill to the canvas and was unable to count the pin. Hardy was trying to help the dazed official get back to his feet when the scorned Terri Runnels ran back down to ringside and tossed her microphone to Togo. The Kaientai member then bashed Hardy in the back of the head with it to score the winning pinfall at 7:36.

2. Scorpio vs. Tiger Ali Singh (w/ Manservant Babu)

Singh racked up a lot of points before this bout ever got started. First, the rich playboy from India cost his opponent 50 points by interrupting Scorpio's backstage interview with Kevin Kelly. Then he added 125 points to his own score by drawing some serious heel heat from the crowd prior to the match introductions. Singh selected two people from the crowd to get in the ring and participate in a "Begging Contest" for $100. Whichever fan groveled and pleaded more for the money would be declared the winner. Apparently, Singh was not content that the winner had humiliated themselves sufficiently enough and made them crawl across the ring on their hands and knees to Babu for their money. Singh then added an additional 25 points with a roll on his Size Modifier before finally locking up with Scorpio. As it turned out, the bonus points failed to bring him a victory. Singh was Drop Kicked into his manservant who was up on the apron attempting to interfere. The collision knocked Babu to the floor and sent Singh sprawling to the canvas. Scorpio then hit the Tumbleweed (Diving Corkscrew Sommersault Leg Drop) from the top rope to gain the three count at 6:48.

3. Prince Albert vs. The Nation of Domination's D'Lo Brown (w/ Mark Henry)

Both grapplers boosted their respective totals with good promos before the opening bell, but D'Lo lost points when Mark Henry accidentally blinded him with a handful of powder to the eyes after the match had gotten under way. Things went from bad to worse for Brown once the action moved OOR. No doubt looking for revenge after D'Lo had cost him a match against The Rock on Monday Night RAW a few weeks back, Vader ran down to ringside and laid out Henry with a Clothesline before crotching Brown on the steel barricade railing. Senior official Earl Hebner, who was busy sending Albert to a neutral corner and oblivious to Vader's interference OOR, then put the ten count on Brown. Your winner via Count Out at 3:52 - Prince Albert.

4. Chainsaw Charlie & Cactus Jack vs. Southern Justice (Mark Canterbury & Dennis Knight) w/ Tennessee Lee.

Cactus and Charlie were fired up for this tag contest and anxious to get it on with Southern Justice when Mr. McMahon's "No Chance !" theme music suddenly began blaring over the PA system. The WWF kingpin ambled out with his associates Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco to loud boos. McMahon said that he had something special in mind for this particular contest. He paced a lit bit, rubbed his chin thoughtfully, and changed the match stipulations to that of a Table Match at the last minute - no pinfalls, no submissions, no DQs or count outs. The match will be won when one team puts a member of the opposing team through a table. Satisfied with his decision, McMahon and company then smugly returned to the back. The "No DQ" provision seemed to favor Cactus and Chainsaw who were free to use whatever objects and weapons that they could get their hands on without repercussion, however they soon found out that their burly opponents (formerly known as the Godwinns) were also well-suited to the contest's new conditions. Both teams had several opportunities to win, but the match went 9:04 before Canterbury Powerbombed Charlie through a table for the victory.

The Rock then came down to the ring to get a few things off his chest. "Finally, the Rock has returned to Fresno ! garnered some loud cheers from the crowd before he continued. "Vader, who in the blue hell do you think you are messing with the Nation of Domination ?? You may think you're done with The Nation, but The Nation ain't done with you by a long shot ! The Rock laid the Smackdown on your monkey ass once and don't think he won't do it again ! And now let me turn my attention to that other roody poo jabroni Owen Hart. The Rock is the People's Champion and he's got his eye on your Intercontinental Title ! Be sure to shine up that belt real pretty for me. The Rock will take you down Know Your Role Boulevard which is on the corner of Jabroni Drive and check you directly in the Smackdown Hotel ......... If you smell what The Rock is cookin' !!"

5. X-Pac of D-Generation X (w/ Chyna) vs. Savio Vega of Los Boricuas (w/ Miguel Perez Jr. and Puerto Rican Flag)

Savio earned himself 100 points for a great promo backstage with his Los Boricuas stable. In contrast, X-Pac lost 50 points when his in-ring promo was interrupted by Jacqueline. "Marvelous" Marc Mero's valet demanded that Chyna, who is the WWF Ladies Champion, put her title on the line. It should be noted that Chyna had eliminated Jacqueline during the Ladies Championship Tournament with some help from Hunter Hearst Helmsley. Jacqueline has been seeking a rematch ever since. Chyna stared down at her menacingly but gave no response to the challenge. And now onto the match -

As Michael Cole pointed out, both competitors have "educated feet" and highly effective Spin Kicks. X-Pac also has the Bronco Buster in his repertoire which he was able to execute on Vega in the corner. Sensing trouble, Miguel Perez attempted to interfere. but only made things worse for Savio by reaching into the ring and accidentally tripping him. Chyna immediately rushed over and took Perez out of the picture with a DDT on the floor. Jacqueline then came back down the aisle and got into a confrontation with her. In the meantime, Vega cracked the Puerto Rican flag over X-Pac's back while the two were battling OOR. Savio mananged to roll himself back inside the ring in the nick of time, but X-Pac was counted out by Referee Jack Doan at 6:36.

6. WWF Intercontinental Champion Owen Hart (w/ yellow and black "Danger" attire) vs. "Marvelous" Marc Mero (w/ Jacqueline)

This is a non-title bout. Hart cut a good interview with Kevin Kelly before the match and addressed The Rock with a couple of catchphrases of his own - "Enough is enough !" and "Put up or shut up !" to earn 50 extra points. Owen then got off to a great start in this match by attacking Mero while the Marvelous One was showboating for the fans with his rendition of the Ali Shuffle. To compound that, Jacqueline accidentally smacked Mero across the face with a loud slap when Owen ducked out of the way at the last instant. Everything was going right for Owen until The Rock returned to ringside. He immediately began jawing with Owen and drew him into a heated confrontation. Mero took advantage of the situation by rolling up Hart from behind for the three count at 7:09. The Rock had himself a good laugh as he strutted to the back.

1. Hardcore Match. Al Snow (w/ Head) vs. "A Real Man's Man" Steven Regal (w/ Hardhat)

To prove to Snow and the WWF fans that he was indeed " A Real Man's Man", Regal agreed to participate in this Hardcore match. He got off to a great start by racking up bonus points for being soundly boo'd and jeered by the crowd during his entrance. On top of that, Regal attacked Snow before the opening bell to get the early advantage. Perhaps in the hopes that it would offer him some measure of protection, Regal continued to wear his hardhat. It didn't take long for Snow to remove the hard plastic helmet and bop Regal in the noggin with it. Many other objects came into play during this bout including a sledgehammer, a speed limit sign, Snow's mannequin "Head", a beer bottle and several folding chairs. Regal pinned Snow with a Piledriver onto one of the steel chairs that was lying in the ring at 11:08.

In a backstage segment, Vader is in WWF Commissioner Sergeant Slaughter's office demanding a match against The Nation Of Domination's D'Lo Brown tonight. Vader has had his problems recently with The Nation and D'Lo in particular. Brown's Lo Down Frog Splash enabled The Rock to pin Vader a few weeks back on an episode of RAW. Vader was so irate that he said he would take on the whole Nation in a Handicap Match if need be. The Commish said that he would "see what he could do".

2. WWF Light Heavyweight Champion Taka Michinoku vs. Brian "Too Sexy" Christopher (w/ Too Much tag team partner Scott "Too Hot" Taylor)

This is a non-title match. Taka had a rough interview with Kevin Kelly prior to the contest. The Japanese star struggled with his English and was then interrupted by Too Much who grabbed the mic and cut a promo of their own in hip-hop jargon. Once the action got under way, Jerry Lawler continued to praise Christopher's talent, but once again denied JR's allegations of favoritism or being affiliated with "Too Sexy" in any way. Much to the King's dismay, Scotty Taylor, while performing some new dance moves on the apron for the fans, accidentally bumped into Christopher who was setting himself on the top rope to deliver his Tennessee Jam/Hip Hop Drop (Diving Leg Drop). Too Sexy crashed to the mat and was pinned by Michinoku at 6:04.

Jacqueline cut a promo in the ring with "Marvelous" Marc Mero once again challenging WWF Ladies Champion Chyna to a title match. Chyna had previously defeated Jacqueline during the championship tournament, but not without the help of Triple H. Never at a loss for words or controversy himself, Mero, who wore a long brunette wig in the ring, played the role of Chyna in this little vignette and kept coming up with excuses for why "she" couldn't or wouldn't put the belt on the line. The faux Chyna conceded that Jacqueline was the better wrestler of the two and finally admitted that "she" was afraid of losing the belt in a rematch. Mero cowered in the corner and begged Jacqueline to leave "her" alone.

3. Chainz (aka Brian Lee) with "Precious" Paul Ellering & The Disciples of the Apocalypse vs. Kurrgan the Interrogator with The Jackyl and The Truth Commission

Given all the outsiders milling about OOR, this match was a potential powder keg waiting to explode. Referee Teddy Long had his hands full, but did a good job of limiting the interference until the very end. Kurrgan, who stands 6' 10", literally caught a "big" break by rolling on his Size Modifier to bolster his chances while Chainz was aided by his ring Savvy and experience. Kurrgan was able to get his hands on Ellering's steel halliburton briefcase, but had it sent into his own face with a running Big Boot by his opponent. Chainz then hit a Death Valley Driver to put the Interrogator down for the three count. After the bell, The Truth Commission rushed into the ring with the Disciples of the Apocalypse doing likewise. A wild free-for-all broke loose and required the services of several WWF officials to restore order.

The Nation of Domination cut a promo on Vader backstage featuring D'Lo Brown & Faarooq. Brown said that if Vader wants a match with him, then he needs to go through "this" man first. "The Strongest Man in the World" Mark Henry then walked out to join the duo. Henry stared into the camera with perspiration dripping off his face. "Here's your opponent tonight, Vader, " Faarooq said. "Show me what you got !"

4. WWF Tag Team Title Match. Challengers The Brood (Edge & Gangrel w/ Christian) vs. the defending Champions The Headbangers (Mosh & Thrasher w/ Boombox of Marilyn Manson music)

The Brood earned this title shot after Christian defeated "Bombastic" Bob Holly of The New Midnight Express during last week's edition of RAW. Before the bell, the arena went completely dark. The Undertaker came out to eerie music and addressed Gangrel with a proposition. "I can use someone like you and the Brood in my Ministry. Forget about this match and come and join me." The invitation seemed to catch Gangrel and company off guard. The Brood huddled together to discuss and then declined the offer. The 'Taker stood silently and stared at them with cold eyes. "Very well," he finally mumbled in an ominous tone. Restless to get the match underway, the Headbangers attacked, but Edge and Gangrel were ready for them. The Brood held their own and proved to be worthy challengers for the championship. Mosh was flattened with a Double Back Elbow Smash off the ropes and then sustained Edge's Downward Spiral (Reverse STO). Thrasher rushed in to break up the subsequent pin attempt prompting Gangrel to also enter the fray. Things got out of hand in a hurry leaving Referee Chad Patton no choice but to disqualify both teams at 7:23. The battle continued to rage in the ring after the bell. No one seemed to notice the Undertaker walking down the aisle with conviction. The Dead Man was a one-man-wrecking crew. Wielding the Headbanger's boombox as a weapon, 'Taker laid out both Christian and Thrasher with vicious smashes. Mosh was then driven into the mat with a Chokeslam as was Edge moments later. Gangrel then received a Tombstone Piledriver to complete the carnage. The arena went dark once more with the Undertaker returning to the back to his ghoulish music. Though battered and bruised, the Headbangers retain the WWF Tag Team Titles.

Pyrotechnics and "Are You Ready ? Break it Down !" theme music brought Hunter Hearst Helmsley and "The Ninth Wonder of the World" Chyna of D-Generation X down to the ring for a promo on Jacqueline and "Marvelous" Marc Mero. Helmsley called Mero "Johnny" in reference to the Marvelous One's stint in WCW as "Johnny B. Badd". Triple H said that "Johnny" was "a big fish in a small pond down south", and "reminded" him that he's "a small (while pointing to his crotch) fish in the vast ocean that is the WWF." Helmsley went on to say that D-Generation X were the great white sharks of the WWF ocean and that everyone else swam in their wake. Triple H said that Jacqueline will get her title match, but only if she and "her boy Johnny" could beat him and Chyna in a mixed tag match next week on RAW. Helmsley ended the challenge by saying that he had "two words" for them, to which the crowd shouted "Suck it !" while he did a crotch chop.

.

5. Vader vs. "The Strongest Man in the World" Mark Henry of the Nation of Domination (w/ Faarooq & D'Lo Brown)

Right about now, Vader must be thinking to himself that he has bitten off more than he could chew by engaging in a feud with the Nation of Domination. Badly outnumbered, he has come up on the short end of the stick thus far, but refuses to back down to them. It was more of the same this evening. Vader proved that he could go toe-to toe with Mark Henry just as he has been able to do with other members of the stable in previous weeks, but outside interference once again did him in. D'Lo pulled the top rope down causing Vader to take a bad fall out of the ring and crash hard to the floor below. Henry won the match via Count Out at 5:55 when Vader was unable to get himself back inside the ring in time. The Nation of Domination triple-teamed Vader after the bell until the Legion of Doom (Hawk & Animal) ran down to ringside to make the save,

6. "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn of D-Generation X (w/ the Road Dogg) vs. Jeff Jarrett (w/ Tennessee Lee)

Jarrett has had some history with Road Dogg in the past and was clearly preoccupied by his presence OOR this evening. The resulting loss in points was offset somewhat by a roll on his Cheating Modifier. Using the bottom rope to gain additional leverage, Jarrett was able to inflict damage on Billy Gunn's left knee with the prolonged use of his Figure Four Leglock but could not induce a submission. Tennesseee Lee then tried to lend a hand by tossing one of his cowboy boots into the ring for Jarrett to use but overshot his reach when Road Dogg interfered with his toss. Jarrett was bending over to pick up the shoe when he was driven face-first into the mat and pinned with Gunn's Fameasser finisher (Leg Drop Bulldog) at 7:23.

7. "The Big Red Machine" Kane (w/ Paul Bearer) vs. "The Phenom" Undertaker

Paul Bearer did his best for Kane. He cut a good promo before the match to give the Big Red Machine additional points to work with and then distracted Referee Chad Patton several times during the action to enable Kane to cheat. The Dead Man was simply an unstoppable force tonight. Clearly a man on a mission, the 'Taker brought the same fury with him to the Main Event that he had exhibited earlier in the tag team championship match. Fans were treated to a barrage of corner uppercuts, the Old School rope walk arm twist and clubbing blow from the top rope, a Flying Clothesline that nearly took Kane out of his boots, and a crushing Sideslam before ending things with the Tombstone Piledriver at 9:24. Your winner - The Undertaker.

McMahon in the house ! We see Mr. McMahon getting out of a limo in the parking garage and entering the arena. He confers with WWF personnel and then walks down some corriders in search of his office. McMahon spots a door with his name on it and opens it. We can see that it is dark inside. A hand suddenly pushes him in with the door slamming shut behind him. The mysterious hand then rips McMahon's name off the door to reveal that it is a janitor's closet. McMahon goes for the knob but finds it locked. He pounds on the door demanding to be let out.

1. Light Heavyweight Triple Threat Match - Jeff Hardy vs. Kaientai's Sho Funaki vs. Scott "Too Hot" Taylor of Too Much.

All three participants had allies with them at ringside which would play a key factor in the outcome of the match. Jeff had brother Matt in his corner, Funaki had Dick Togo, Men's Teioh & Yamaguchi-San with him while Taylor was accompanied to the ring by tag team partner Brian "Too Sexy" Christopher. Taylor and Funaki added points to their respective totals with good promos before the match. Sporting a Stetson hat and red bandana tied about his neck, Sho Funaki lip-synced to some John Wayne dialogue from "True Grit". It made absolutely no sense but the fans loved it anyway. The bad blood and bitter feud between the Hardy Boyz and Funaki's stable Kaientai continued to escalate this evening. When the time came for Jeff to do his promo, cameras picked up on him being jumped backstage by Kaientai members Men's Teioh and Dick Togo. Hardy lost 200 points for the assault which severely hurt his chances of winning the bout. Jeff was able to get some measure of retribution by catching Funaki with a Twist of Fate (Front Facelock Cutter), but was draw into an altercation OOR between his brother Matt and Dick Togo. While Referee Jack Doan was trying to break up that melee and get Jeff back inside the ring, Scott Taylor was busy setting himself on the top rope to deliver a Diving Elbow Drop onto the still down-and-out Funaki. Yamaguchi-San reached into the ring and pulled Funaki out of the way in the nick of time with Taylor's Flying Elbow missing the mark. Funaki then crawled over to make the cover on Scotty with Jack Doan finally turning around to count the 1-2-3 at 11:21. Brian Christopher tried to enter the ring to break up the pin but was held up by Men's Teioh.

Mr. McMahon's bungling associates Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson are outside the door of the janitor's closet with a ring full of keys. They try one key after another but none of them can unlock the door. McMahon is growing more agitated by the second. He threatens to fire everyone in the company. We can see the New Age Outlaws' "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn and the Road Dogg laughing in the background.

Down the hallway, Droz is in WWF Commissioner Sergeant Slaughter's office asking for a match against European Champion The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust. "Make it a non-title match ! I don't care, Sarge ! I know that I can beat this guy. Just let me prove it to you !" Slaughter informs Droz that Goldust isn't here, but said that he does have an opponent for him. "Let's see how you do against Bradshaw tonight."

2. Droz vs. Blackjack Bradshaw (w/ Blackjack Windham)

Though primarily a tag team wrestler, Bradshaw appeared to be the favorite to win this singles contest after receiving ally interference from his tag team partner Barry Windham. Blackjack Windham distracted Referee Jim Korderas allowing Bradshaw to choke out Droz with his trademark bullrope which he often brings to ringside for the Blackjacks' matches. Bradshaw then added a crushing Powerbomb, played to the crowd a little bit, and lackadaisically draped himself across his opponent for the cover. Droz still had something left in the tank, however, and surprised the big cowboy with a crucifix cradle to get the pin at 4:30.

Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco finally get the door to the janitor's closet open. Mr. McMahon bursts out in a rage and demands to be given a microphone. He sees the Big Bossman preparing for his match against Mankind later in the program and reprimands him. "Where the hell were you ? I'm paying you to protect me !!" McMahon then heads to the ring in a huff.

3. X-Pac of D-Generation X vs. Edge of The Brood

This match never took place. The head of the WWF stormed down to ringside with "No Chance!" theme music blaring over the PA system. Mr. McMahon snarled "Get out of my ring dammit !!" and sent X-Pac and Edge to the back. He then went on a twenty minute tirade about the indignity just done to him backstage. McMahon vowed to find the guilty party, but added that he had a "pretty good idea" of who was responsible. "There's no one that I hate more in this company than "Stone Cold" Steve Austin !" (The crowd cheers !) "Austin, I can't prove it yet, but if I find out that you were the one behind this, I'll have you indefinitely suspended and stripped of your WWF Title !"

The sound of smashing glass then brought the fans to their feet and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin down to the ring with a mic in one hand and a six pack of beer in the other. "Vince, you and I both know that if it were me, I'd have put you in a far worse place than that damn closet..... but here's to the S.O.B. who had the balls to do it !" Austin then pulls a can off the six pack, snaps it open and takes a swig as the fans cheer !

Upon seeing McMahon seething, the Texas Rattlesnake remarked, "You're having a bad night ain't ya, Vince ?" Austin pulls off another can of beer from his six pack and tosses it over to McMahon. McMahon looks to the crowd, gets some cheers of encouragement and snaps it open. Before he can take a sip, however, Austin gives him a kick to the gut followed by the Stone Cold Stunner. The Rattlesnake then pours the rest of his beer on McMahon, flips him off with double middle fingers and walks back to the dressing room to a loud ovation.

4. L.O.D. 2000 (Hawk & Animal w/ Sunny) vs. The Nation of Domination (Kama Mustafa & D'Lo Brown w/ Faarooq)

The Nation got off to a great start well before the opening bell had sounded. Faarooq cut a promo on Vader (the Nation's favorite target as of late) to earn his team 100 points. Brown and Mustafa then jumped L.O.D. 2000 from behind during Hawk and Animal's entrance to add to their total. To top it off, the Nation rolled on their Tag Team Bonus Modifier and ran up their score even further. Despite all the extra points, it would prove not to be the Nation's night afterall. Vader ran down to ringside and hit D'Lo Brown with his Vader Bomb (Slingshot Splash from the Apron) while Referee Jack Doan was busy arguing with Faarooq in the Nation's corner. Doan turned around to find Hawk making the cover on D'Lo and counted the pin for LOD 2000 at 7:30.

Meanwhile, Val Venis and his valet Ryan Shamrock are scheming in a back office. Ryan is trying to devise a plan on how to help Dan Severn defeat her big brother Ken Shamrock in tonight's next match. She comes up with an idea and whispers it into Vals' ear. The Big Valbowski smiles and nods. Ready to put their plan into action, the two head for the door only to discover that they, too, have been locked inside.

5. "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock vs. Dan "The Beast" Severn

Both of these men come from Mixed Martial Arts backgrounds and are well-familiar with one another. Severn "reacquainted" himself with his colleague by interrupting Shamrock's backstage interview with Kevin Kelly prior to the match. Severn told Kelly that he routinely kicked Shamrock's butt in MMA and will do likewise here in the WWF. Shamrock was boiling with anger and couldn't wait to get his hands on Severn once the two were finally in the ring together. It came as no surprise that Shamrock attacked before the bell and took the early advantage. Both competitors employed various grueling submission holds on one another during the contest with Severn ultimately tapping out to Shamrock's trademark Ankle Lock at 6:04. Finally extricating themselves from their confines backstage, Venis and Ryan raced down to ringside only to see Shamrock's hand being raised in victory by Referee Jim Korderas.

Hunter Hearst Helmsely is backstage sharing a laugh with fellow D-Generation X members Road Dogg and Billy Gunn. The cameraman asks them "What's so funny?" Triple H tells them "None of your business ! Now take a hike !" and pushes the cameraman out of the way.

6. Mankind (w/ Shirt & Tie) vs. WWF Hardcore Champion The Big Bossman (w/ Black S.W.A.T. Team Attire)

This was not a Hardcore Match so the Bossman's title was not on the line. Mankind cut a great promo in the ring, gleefully cackled "Have a nice day !" and then proceeded to catch the Hardcore Champ with a Double Axe Handle in the back while the Bossman was climbing through the ropes for the match introductions. Watching the action from a monitor in the back and still a bit woozy from the Stone Cold Stunner that he suffered earlier in the program, Mr. McMahon immediately dispatched Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco to ringside to lend the Bossman a hand. The duo initially proved to be helpful by distracting Referee Mike Chioda just long enough to buy the Bossman extra time and enabled him to kick out of a pinning situation after he sustained Mankind's Double Arm DDT. Patterson erred big time, however, when he tried to toss the former prison guard his nightstick and accidentally hit the Big Bossman in the noggin with it. The Bossman staggered around the ring and was pinned by Mankind with a Small Package at 9:14.

Backstage, security personnel present Mr. McMahon with surveillance footage captured by one of their cameras. They inform him that the recording will reveal the identity of the culprit who locked him inside the janitor's closet earlier this evening. McMahon quickly cues up the segment and watches it intently. We see a wicked smile slowly come over his face.

7. Mixed Tag Team Match. D-Generation X's Hunter Hearst Helmsley & the WWF Ladies Champion & "Ninth Wonder of the World" Chyna vs. "Marvelous" Marc Mero & Jacqueline with the condition that if Mero and Jacqueline win, Jacqueline would receive a title match against Chyna for the women's championship.

The contest was about to begin when "No Chance!" music brought out Mr. McMahon who said that he had a special surprise for Triple H and Chyna. McMahon announced that he had changed the stipulations of our Main Event to that of a "Contract on a Pole Match". A document forcing Chyna to defend the Ladies Title was folded inside an envelope and attached to the top of a pole that WWF attendants were now setting up in a neutral corner of the ring. If D-Generation X reached the envelope first, they could tear up the contract and nullify the title match, however if Mero's team got the envelope first, then Jacqueline would get the title opportunity. Triple H and Chyna protested, but McMahon said that they would lose by forfeit if they refused to wrestle. D-Generation reluctantly agreed. Triple H grabbed Howard Finkel's microphone and insisted that they would still win despite the new terms. Helmsley seemed poised to make good on his prediction after catching Mero with a High Knee Smash off the ropes, but Marvelous Marc recovered in time to give him a Belly to Back Suplex off the top rope with the envelope dangling just inches above Helmsley's fingers. This match came down to Jacqueline and Chyna battling atop the turnbuckle for the contract with the "Ninth Wonder of the World" being knocked down to the mat after having her forehead rammed repeatedly into the steel pole. The envelope now securely in her grasp, Jacqueline won the contest for her team at 10:53 and earned herself a title match against Chyna in the process.

WWF Monday Night RAW Results (Attitude Era Circa Late 90's) - Arco Arena, Sacramento, CA

Commentators: Jim Ross & Jerry "The King" Lawler

Ring Announcer: Howard Finkel

Referees: Chad Patton, Tim White & Earl Hebner

1. El Pantera vs. Jesus Castillo of Los Boricuas (w/ Jose Estrada Jr. & Miguel Perez Jr.)

Castillo and his Los Boricuas posse cut a great promo in Spanish at ringside before the bell which went over big time with the Latino fans in attendance at the Arco Arena. Not to be outdone, the masked Mexican luchador El Pantera snatched the mic away from them and added some Spanish of his own. Apparently his response offended Castillo who immediately charged at him. Pantera was ready, however, and sent his opponent face-first into the steel ring steps with a Drop Toe Hold. The bell then rang to officially begin the contest. These two light heavyweights quickly hit some dazzling high spots on one another before the action once again returned to the floor. Castillo's stablemates interfered when the luchador began to get the upperhand OOR. Perez and Estrada combined to give El Pantera a Double Hot Shot onto the barricade railing surrounding ringside while Castillo distracted Referee Chad Pattton. The Mexican star was unable to recover in time to make Patton's ten count. Your winner via Count Out at 3:01 - Jesus Castillo.

Backstage segment in Japanese with English subtitles. Yamaguchi-San is trying to persuade WWF Light Heavyweight Champion Taka Michinoku to join his Kaientai stable. Michinoku emphatically declines the proposition. Taka is then surrounded by Kaientai members Dick Togo, Sho Funaki and Men's Teioh. They are trying to strong-arm him into changing his mind but Michinoku will have nothing to do with them. Yamaguchi-San says "we can do this the hard way or we can do this the easy way, but one way or another, the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship will belong to Kaientai."

2. The Disciples of the Apocalypse (8-Ball & Skull w/ Chainz and "Precious" Paul Ellering) vs. The Truth Commission (Recon & Sniper w/ Kurrgan the Interrogator & The Jackyl)

As with the Kurrgan/Chainz match from two weeks ago on RAW, this one threatened to erupt into a Pier Six Brawl at any given moment. Referee Tim White had his hands full but managed to maintain order to help decide a winner. The Truth Commission's spiritual and inspirational leader the Jackyl provided numerous distractions from OOR which gave Recon and Sniper valuable bonus points to work with enroute to victory. Recon (aka Bull Buchanan) showed some savvy by rolling through on Skull's running Powerslam and grabbing a handful of the biker's pants to secure the winning pinfall at 7:12.

Backstage segment. Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco are in Mr. McMahon's office helping the boss piece together the matches for the WWF's upcoming "Judgement Day: In Your House" pay-per-view. Various wrestlers' names are being bantered about. McMahon writes some of them on a pad; others he ignores. "How about the Big Boss Man ?" Patterson suggests. McMahon shoots him a dirty look. Patterson realizes that he's hit a nerve here. The former prison guard-turned-body guard has been in McMahon's doghouse ever since the WWF CEO was unceremoniously locked inside a janitor's closet while on the Boss Man's watch. "The Boss Man should defend his Hardcore Title against Mankind," Brisco pipes up, "After all, Mankind did beat him in a non-title match." McMahon gives Patterson another dirty look. Patterson knows full well that his blunder led to Mankind's victory in that match. Vince is watching Mankind walking around backstage on a monitor. Mankind is having an animated discussion with his sock puppet "Mr. Socko". McMahon shakes his head and burries his face in his hands. He looks at the monitor again. Mankind walks by Al Snow who is listening intently to his mannequin "Head". Snow holds a finger to the mannequin's lips and whispers "Shhhh !" Apparently Al doesn't want Mankind to overhear their conversation. McMahon shakes his head again. "Tell me he knows that thing is made out of Styrofoam," Vince mutters. Brisco and Patterson are afraid to answer him. McMahon sighs and scribbles something down on his pad. "Let's move on."

3. "Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman (w/ Bag of Martial Arts Weapons) vs. Gangrel of the Brood (w/ Edge & Christian)

The fans were into Blackman's entrance which featured him wielding glow-in-the-dark escrima sticks and rewarded the "Lethal Weapon" with 100 additional points. Blackman tacked on another 100 points when he attacked Gangrel with the Filipino fighting sticks before the opening bell sounded. Gangrel was in a heap of trouble throughout this contest, but got some much-needed help from his corner men after Referee Earl Hebner had been knocked to the canvas. Christian pushed the "Lethal Weapon" off the top rope while the martial arts star was setting himself to deliver a high-risk maneuver. Edge then snuck into the ring and planted the dazed Blackman with his Downward Spiral (Reverse STO) before dragging Gangrel on top of him for a pin cover. Hebner shook out the cobwebs and crawled over to count the 1-2-3 at 6:42.

After the match, Gangrel remained in the ring to cut a promo on the Undertaker. The Vampire Warrior justified why he and the Brood refused to join the 'Taker's Ministry. "I don't know if this is a good idea, JR !" Jerry Lawler quipped. "Your heart may be black, Undertaker," Gangrel continued, "But we come from the other side of darkness."

The arena suddenly went dark and the Undertaker's eerie music began to play. "This can only mean one thing, King !" Jim Ross shouted. The Deadman slowly walked down the aisle and entered the ring. Gangrel begged off but the Undertaker grabbed him by the throat and lifted him two feet off the mat. "You dare to lecture me about darkness ??" he snarled. The 'Taker seemed poised to deliver a Chokeslam when Christian and Edge snuck up from behind him and gave the Deadman a Con-Chair-To (Double Chair Smash to the head). The Undertaker collapsed to the canvas in a heap. Edge and Christian then assisted the gasping Gangrel get back to his feet and helped him out of the ring. The Brood were heading to the back when Gangrel abruptly turned around and raised a hand to the rafters. In a scene reminiscent from the horror movie "Carrie", gallons of "blood" rained down from above onto the still-prone Undertaker. JR called it a "Blood Bath" and wondered allowed what effect it would have on the Deadman. Completely covered in the mysterious red substance, the 'Taker slowly sat up (as only the Undertaker can) and stared at Gangrel with menacing intent. The Brood then beat a hasty retreat to the back.

4. Sable (w/ "The Grind" Dance) vs. Luna Vachon (w/ The Artist Formerly Known as Goldust)

Luna cut a good promo before the match, but lost her temper when she failed to "Out-Grind" Sable in an impromptu dance-off competition between the ladies. Vachon then tried a sneak attack from behind with Howard Finkel's microphone only to drop it after receiving a Crescent Kick to the gut. Sable maintained the advantage with a series of Running Clotheslines and a Hair Pull Snap Mare, but was tripped by The Artist Formerly Known as Goldust from OOR when she attempted a Body Slam. Goldust struck again moments later when he pulled the top rope down causing Sable to take a bad fall out of the ring. She looked like she might beat Referee Chad Patton's ten count, but Goldust grabbed onto her foot to insure the Count Out. The time of the match was 4:17. After the bell, Luna continued to flail away on Sable with Goldust's help until Droz ran down to ringside with a chair to make the save.

Backstage interview with Kevin Kelly and The Rock.

Kevin Kelly: "We're here with the Rock to discuss the Nation of Domination's big tag team match against Intercontinental Champion Owen Hart and Vader later tonight. Vader has been searching for a partner to ....."

(The Rock puts his hand in front of Kelly's face)

The Rock: "Kevin Kelly, the Rock says shut your mouth and know your role ! Finally, the Rock has come back to Sacramento ! Owen Hart, the Rock will get to you in a minute, but first the Brahma Bull has got to talk about that 450 lb pile of stickin', steamin' Colorado-Grade-A monkey crap, Vader. The Rock says this, Vader - you can get all the help you want - those muscle-headed morons Hawk and Animal ...... Oh no Hart ..........it doesn't matter because the Nation is gonna kick your candy ass every damn night from Timbukto to Kalamazoo and check it into the Smackdown Hotel where it belongs ! Owen Hart, come Judgement Day, the Most Electrifying Man in Sports ..... the Great One ..... the People's Champion ....... is gonna walk down the People's Ramp ......... get in the People's Ring ..... give you the People's Elbow ......... shine up that Intercontinental Belt, turn it sideways and shove it right up your roody poo monkey ass ! If you smell ....... what The Rock is cookin'."

5. Road Dogg Jesse James of D-Generation X (w/ "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) vs. Jeff Jarrett (w/ Tennessee Lee)

There's already a lot of bad blood between Jarrett and the New Age Outlaws and this match only added more fuel to the fire. Road Dogg interrupted Jarrett's backstage promo and then made a big entrance with his trademark catchphrases to add more bonus points to his total. Fans were treated to the Dogg's Shake Rattle & Roll (3 Left Jabs, A Funky Shuffle, and a Big Roundhouse Right) followed by the Shaky Knee Drop. Unable to get anything going in the ring, Jarrett took the battle to the floor but had his problems there as well. Road Dogg was able to reverse Jarrett's El Kabong Guitar Smash OOR and in so doing won the contest by Count Out at 5:26.

In a backstage segment, Road Dogg is celebrating his victory with Billy Gunn in the locker room. Southern Justice (Dennis Knight & Mark Canterbury) suddenly burst in and attack them. Gunn is run head-first into a wall by Canterbury while Road Dogg is laid out by Knight's Problem Solver (Inverted DDT). Tennessee Lee and Jeff Jarrett soon join the fray. The quartet stomp away at the Outlaws until Triple H and Shawn Michaels of D-Generation X burst in to run them off.

6. WWF Intercontinental Champion Owen Hart & Vader vs. The Rock & D'Lo Brown of the Nation of Domination

Although they have never teamed up before and have very different wrestling styles, Vader and Hart meshed surprisingly well together and even received a tag team bonus for working as a cohesive unit. Perhaps it was their mutual dislike of the Nation of Domination ? Whatever the reason, Hart & Vader took the fight to the Nation and seemed poised for victory when the Rock sustained a Vader Bomb (Slingshot Splash from the apron) followed by Owen's Sharpshooter. The Rock appeared to be on the verge of tapping out when all heck broke loose. The Nation of Domination's Faarooq and Mustafa raced into the ring along with L.O.D. 2000 (Hawk & Animal). An eight man free-for-all ensued with Referee Earl Hebner disqualifying both teams at 8:43.

Backstage segment. McMahon, Brisco and Patterson continue to work away on the pay-per-view card. The New Age Outlaws suddenly barge into Vince's office despite the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. McMahon is obviously peeved by the interruption. "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn and Road Dogg are demanding a match with Southern Justice at Judgement Day. McMahon looks around the room at his associates. Patterson and Brisco seem to like the idea. "Alright," Vince acquiesces, "But let's make it a little more interesting. The winners will get a title match against the Headbangers on RAW the week after Judgement Day." The Outlaws like the sound of that. "Done!" Road Dogg shouts. He and Billy Gunn turn to leave when Vince continues. "Just one more thing, boys ..." he adds. "What's that ? the Dogg asks. "Oh, you didn't know ? McMahon says both mimicking and mocking Road Dogg's famous catchphrase, "Hillbilly Jim will be the Guest Referee for that match." Billy Gunn and Road Dogg look at one another perplexed. They both simultaneously realize that Hillbilly Jim was Southern Justice's manager when Canterbury and Knight were known as the Godwinns. McMahon smiles as the Outlaws storm out of his office. Pleased with himself, Vince tells Patterson and Brisco, "Now all we need is one more match to wrap this up."

7. "HBK" Shawn Michaels of D-Generation X (w/ Hunter Hearst Helmsley) vs. "The Big Red Machine" Kane (w/ Paul Bearer)

With a quivering voice and ghostly make-up to boot, Paul Bearer cut a ghoulish promo for "The Big Red Machine" prior to the match to earn Kane 100 additional points, but that went for naught when Michaels attacked before the bell with a Double Axe Handle from the top rope to grab the early edge in the match. A Flying Forearm off the ropes was followed by HBK's patented kip up, but Michael's Diving Elbow from up top missed its mark moments later. The momentum abruptly swung in Kane's favor. The Big Red Machine unloaded with a barrage of fists and stomps in the corner. Giving up a great deal in both size and strength, HBK was hoisted up like a rag doll and tossed half way across the ring with a Military Press Slam. Kane then caught him with a Big Boot off the ropes followed by crushing Sidewalk Slam. Looking to lend a hand, Helmsley climbed up onto the apron to interfere but was sent to the floor with a Clothesline from Kane. Triple H did buy the resilient Michaels a few precious moments to recover, however. When the Big Red Machine turned his attention back to HBK, he was met with the Sweet Chin Music which put the big man down like a ton of bricks. Paul Bearer then entered the ring to break up Michaels' subsequent pin attempt and draw the DQ on Kane at 9:55. Still smarting from both his fall off the apron and a bruised ego, Helmsley tossed Paul Bearer out of the ring and went to town on the fallen Kane. He and Michaels were putting a double-team beat down on the Big Red Machine when the lights suddenly went out. JR speculated that the Undertaker was coming to his younger half-brother's aid, but when the lights came back on, we found WWF Champion "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in the ring instead ! Austin spun the bewildered Michaels around and laid him out with the Stone Cold Stunner. Triple H was then planted into the mat by a huge Chokeslam from Kane. Helmsley and HBK skedaddled, slowly back peddling up the aisle and toward the back, all the while taking stock of the situation and sizing up their adversaries standing tall in the ring. Austin dispatched them with two middle fingers and a few choice expletives.

The Texas Rattlesnake then turned his attention to Kane while Referee Chad Patton assisted Paul Bearer to the back. With his hands on his hips, Austin eyed the Big Red Machine suspiciously and said "I don't know if I can trust you. Hell, I don't know if you can even understand English."

Kane just stood there silently staring at him..

"We got us a fight here with these two S.O.B.s," Austin persisted, "What do you say to that ? Are you up for it ?"

Kane slowly raised his arms and then dropped them quickly by his side. Flames blazed forth from the tops of all four ring posts as the fans cheered !

Meanwhile, Mr. McMahon, Brisco and Patterson are all smiles and patting themselves on the back as they exit Vince's office. McMahon shuts the light, closes the door behind them, and hands a folded piece of paper to Kevin Kelly with these instructions, "Take this to Ross and have him read it before we go off the air." Kelly immediately heads for ringside with the paper.

JR: "I've just been handed the lineup for Judgement Day and it's in Mr. McMahon's own hand writing, King !"

Lawler: "Then it must be official, JR ! Don't keep us hanging ! Read it ! Read It !"

"Cowboy" Bill Watts' UWF Results (Circa Late 80's) - Tulsa Convention Center, Tulsa, OK. Att: 5,415.

Announcers - Jim Ross & Michael P.S. Hayes
Ring Announcer: "Jolting" Joe Bryan
Referees: Jerry Usher, Edward Faulk & Tommy Gilbert

1. Rick Steiner (w/ "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert & "The First Lady of Professional Wrestling" Missy Hyatt) in a squash over Johnny West at 2:28. Steiner barely broke a sweat as the First Family mugged it up for the cameras OOR. A Flying Clothesline off the ropes nearly sent West into the next zip code and set up a crushing Belly to Belly Suplex for the three count.

2. The crafty Chavo Guerrero seemed to come at "Mr. Superb" Steve Doll from every angle. Doll was knocked on his fanny by a Missile Drop Kick from the top rope and then got back to his feet only to be met by a Flying Corkscrew Body Block from the opposite corner. The resilient Mr. Superb grabbed the ropes to pull himself up once more and was caught in a Slingshot Sunset Flip from the apron by Chavo for the pinfall at 5:06.

3. Brett Wayne Sawyer over "Jumping" Joe Savoldi in a barn burner. These two guys can really go and put on quite a show for the fans in Tulsa. Savoldi hit a Diving Cross Body Press from the top rope that looked like a sure pin but Sawyer cradled his opponent's arms in a crucifix to turn the tables and score the three count at 7:33.

4. General Skandor Akbar was very high on his latest recruit "The Libyan" for Devastation Incorporated, but the Angel of Death spoiled the good vibe. A missed Leg Drop from the second rope spelled disaster for Akbar's man. The Angel followed up on the botched maneuver with a Fallaway Slam to seal the victory at 6:46.

5. The familiar opening chords of Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Free Bird" brought Buddy Roberts to the ring and Michael Hayes to his feet at the announcers' table. Buddy's opponent "Gorgeous" Gary Young was not impressed and plugged his nose to convey his disdain for the song. Young's antics drew the ire of Mr. Roberts who immediately went to work on the Gorgeous One. To his credit Young battled back but made a costly error. Rather than stay on his opponent and press his advantage, Young chose instead to showboat for the crowd and was flattened by a Flying Bulldog from behind while strutting around the ring. Roberts hooked a leg to gain the three count at 7:58.

6. The Main Event turned out to be a real crowd pleaser as UWF Champion Steve "Dr. Death" Williams teamed up with Oklahoma protégé Steve Cox to defeat the Russian Bears (Kortsia Korchenko & Vladimir Petrov) at 8:12. The Cold War was alive and well in Tulsa as "U.S.A.!" chants rocked the Convention Center and bolstered the babyfaces' points total. Some miscommunication amongst the Russians directly led to the finish. Petrov was leveled by an errant Clothesline from his partner and then finished off with Dr. Death's trademark Oklahoma Stampede (Running Powerslam) for the winning pinfall.

"Cowboy" Bill Watts' UWF Results (Circa Late 80's) - Kemper Arena, Kansa City, MO. Att: 5,035.

Announcers: Jim Ross & "Jolting" Joe Bryan
Ring Announcer: Reeser Bowden
Referees: Tommy Gilbert, Ron West & Carl Fergie

1. General Skandor Akbar's Devastation Incorporated (One Man Gang & Bad Bad Leroy Brown) ran roughshod over Bobby Perez & Johnny West. Complete domination from beginning to end for Akbar's troops. The Gang puts away West with the 747 Splash after a crushing Elbow Drop from big Leroy. The time of the fall was 3:56. After the bout, Akbar served warning to the Fantastics and promised that their days as UWF Tag Team Champions were numbered.

2. Brickhouse Brown over veteran Art Crews at 5:44. The most interesting aspect of this match was Crews new bleached blonde hairdo and an aggressive attitude which featured an abundant and uncharacteristic amount of rule breaking. Crews nearly won the bout with a Small Package and a handful of tights but Brickhouse managed to somehow lift a shoulder in the nick of time. Brown was able to block a Verticle Suplex attempt from Crews and reverse it into a Snap Suplex of his own to win the match.

3. A fired up Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy, in his best southern bad-ass drawl, cut a scathing prematch promo insinuating that the powers to be were holding him down to protect "their man" Steve "Dr. Death" Williams and the UWF Championship. Gordy said that he would "whoop" Williams or anybody else that Bill Watts puts in his way. As if to emphasize his point, Gordy then proceeded to demolish the "Missiouri Tiger" Jeff Gaylord in a mere 2:33. The normally combatative Gaylord got in no offense whatsoever before going down for the three count following a Gordy Piledriver.

4. The match between Chavo Guerrero and Jack Victory was officially declared a "No Contest" by Referee Carl Fergie at 1:58 when a seething Terry Gordy ran in and laid out both combatants. Chavo was flattened by a Flying Bulldog from behind, while Jack Victory fell victim to Gordy's Asiatic Spike (Thumb Choke Hold) moments later.

Interview with Joe Bryan and the UWF's no-nonsense Commissioner John Ayers regarding Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy's tirade.

Ayers: "Terry Gordy, you have my attention. You also have a $2,500 fine coming your way after your actions earlier this evening. Now before you go and get yourself suspended, Hoss, let me address the situation. While it is the goal and aspiration of many a man here in the UWF to become the world heavyweight champion, there's a right way and a wrong way to go about it. Bad-mouthing the owner and interfering in matches that you have no business being a part of is the wrong way. Are we clear on that ? To get a crack at Dr. Death's title, you have to be the Number One contender. You think you're the man then ? Well, next week you can prove it by winning a 20 Man Over-the-Top-Rope Number One Contender's Battle Royal. Be the last man standing, Gordy, and you'll get your title shot. Until then we got nuthin' to talk about."

5. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan put away the Libyan (w/ General Skandor Akbar) at 6:19. Akbar was a force to be reckoned with in this match by brandishing a riding crop and whipping Duggan with it repeatedly whenever the Libyan was able to distract Referee Tommy Gilbert. Despite the loss of points, Hacksaw persevered and scored the winning pinfall following a Spear from his trademark three-point stance.

Joe Bryan and Jim Ross hype next week's Number One Contender's Battle Royal. The list of participants, as furnished by Commissioner Ayers, reads like a who's who in the UWF: "The Ugandan Giant" Kamala.... "Gentleman" Chris Adams... Ted Dibiase.... Savannah Jack... "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan... the One Man Gang... Terry Taylor... Lord Humongous.... Leroy Brown... Sting.... Big Bubba Rogers.... Eli the Eliminator.... Shane Douglas.... the Angel of Death.... Sam Houston... Chavo Guerrero as well as ALL THREE Fabulous Freebirds and Dr. Death's own Oklahoma protégé Steve Cox ! Conspicuously absent - one "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert who begged out of the Battle Royal in order to assist Head Coach Johnny Majors in rounding Gilbert's beloved Tennessee Volunteers into shape for the upcoming NCAA football season.

6. Ted Dibiase over Terry Taylor (w/ "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert & "The 1st Lady of Professional Wrestling" Missy Hyatt) at 11:02. Both men seemed to have the same strategy going into this one and that was to wear down their opponent's leg. Taylor nearly induced a submission with a prolonged Figure Four Leg Lock and the assistance of the First Family. (Dibiase was actually able to grab the bottom rope but Eddie Gilbert gnawed on his knuckles forcing him to let go of the rope before Referee Ron West could see.) Dibiase was finally able to escape the predicament by rolling himself over and reversing the pressure over to Taylor's knee. Once again Gilbert interjected himself by pulling Taylor under the bottom rope to force West to break the hold. Apparently fed up with Hot Stuff's interference, "Gentleman" Chris Adams ran down to ringside and inadvertently provided the fans with the highlight of the night - Missy Hyatt was knocked on her fanny when an Adams' Superkick sent Gilbert crashing into her. It did not take long for Terry Taylor to become preoccupied with his hated adversary Chris Adams running wild around ringside. Dibiase capitalized on the distraction with a roll up from behind to hold Taylor's shoulders to the mat for the three count.

"Cowboy" Bill Watts' UWF (Circa Late 80's) - Tulsa County Fairgrounds, Tulsa, OK. Att: 3,630.

Announcers: Jim Ross & "Jolting" Joe Bryan
Ring Announcer: Joel Watts
Referees: Edward Faulk, Alfred Neely & Jerry Usher

There is a buzz of excitement surrounding the Fairgrounds as Jim Ross is joined by UWF Commissioner John Ayers to hype the Number One Contenders Battle Royal Main Event.

1. Devastation Incorporated's Eli the Eliminator (w/ General Skandor Akbar) took tonight's opening bout with a one-sided victory over Perry Jackson. Lots of brawling from Eli with his manager Skandar Akbar getting his licks in as well. Eli finished things with a Tombstone Piledriver at 3:18.

2. "Wildman" Mike Boyette cut a stirring prematch promo criticizing Commissioner Ayers for not including him in the Battle Royal. Speaking with great depth of feeling and a quivering voice, Boyette declared himself both "hurt" and "insulted" by Ayers' intentional snub. Mike appeared to be choking back the tears as he expounded upon his years of loyalty and service to the UWF. An awkward silence followed leaving Jim Ross to wonder aloud if Boyette was in any frame of mind to wrestle his match against the Angel of Death tonight. The Wildman answered that question with a maniacal laugh and a microphone bash to the Angel's noggin. As it turned out, the sneak attack would be the only highlight to Boyette's night. A Flying Clothesline off the ropes from the Angel spun Mike around like a top and led to a Samoan Drop for the three count. Your winner at 4:34: The Angel of Death.

3. The Fabulous Freebirds from Bad Street, Atlanta, GA (Michael P.S. Hayes & Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy) defeated the young duo of Steve Cox and UWF Rookie of the Year Shane Douglas. Prior to the bell, we had yet another verbal tirade from one Terry Gordy who said he would go through the entire roster in tonight's Battle Royal to get his hands on UWF Heavyweight Champion Steve "Dr. Death" Williams. The Freebirds may have taken their opponents Douglas & Cox a tad too lightly and nearly paid the price were it not for some timely interference from Buddy Jack Roberts. The flamboyant Hayes was showboating as usual for the fans with his trademark moonwalk when he turned around right into a Belly to Belly Suplex from Douglas. Roberts immediately climbed up onto the apron to divert Referee Jerry Usher's attention away from the pinning predicament. Terry Gordy capitalized on the distraction by breaking up Shane's cover with a Flying Elbow Drop. The wounded Douglas was able to crawl to his corner for a much needed tag. The Freebirds immediately went to work on Cox who is the protégé of Steve Williams. Hayes & Gordy used another Buddy Roberts' diversion to plant Cox into the mat with a Double Team DDT. Bam Bam then applied his Asiatic Spike for the submission victory at 7:48 and refused to let go prompting Dr. Death himself to run down to ringside in street clothes with a chair and clear the ring of the Freebirds. Williams then discarded the weapon and challenged Bam Bam to get in the ring with him. The fans were on their feet as Dr. Death and Gordy went at it tooth and nail for several minutes before UWF officials raced in to break up the slugfest.

4. Sting scored a huge victory over "The Ugandan Giant" Kamala (w/ Handler Friday and General Skandor Akbar) at 9:29. Mr. Akbar has taken to brandishing a rider's crop in recent weeks and tonight was no exception. Sting felt the General's wrath on several occasions yet was still able to persevere. The turning point of the bout came when Kamala missed a corner charge and ran full steam into the turnbuckle. Sting immediately followed up with a leaping Fist Drop off the 2nd rope to gain the 1-2-3.

5. 20 Man Number One Contenders' Battle Royal Main Event.

The Rules:

The Final Four:

Terry Gordy, Lord Humungous, Ted Dibiase and Terry Taylor.

The Order of Elimination:

Terry Gordy when Eddie Gilbert pulled the top rope down causing Bam Bam to fall out of the ring as he charged at Taylor, Terry Taylor after being Military Pressed over Lord Humungous' head and thrown over the top rope onto Eddie Gilbert sending them both crashing hard to the floor, Lord Humungous by a loaded Ted Dibiase punch after Dibiase pulled a mysterious black glove from his tights.

The Winner:

Ted Dibiase at 17:41 with Jim Ross shouting at the top of his lungs to his broadcast partner Joe Bryan,"That damn glove ! We've seen it before, Joe ! We've seen it before ! We're outta time !!"

Dibiase will face his former tag team partner "Dr. Death" Steve Williams for the UWF Heavyweight Championship

"Cowboy" Bill Watts' UWF Results (Circa Late 80's) - The Myriad, Oklahoma City, OK. Att: 4,711.

Announcers: Jim Ross & Magnum T.A.
Ring Announcer: "Jolting" Joe Bryan
Referees: Tommy Gilbert, Carl Fergie & Ron West

1. Veteran Art Crews brought a bad attitude to the ring to go along with his new bleached blonde hairdo as he took on youngster Johnny West in tonight's opening bout. West survived an early barrage of closed fists, eye rakes and hidden chokeholds and mounted a brief comeback that was topped off by a Flying Drop Kick to the kisser. A second one was thwarted, however, when Crews put on the brakes leaving Johnny flat on his back. West was greeted with a Swinging Neckbreaker when he got back to his feet and finished off with a Missile Drop Kick from the 2nd rope for the three count at 2:52.

2. Devastation Incorporated's newest member the Super Ninja had his hands full with Davey Haskins. This battle ended up on the floor with General Skandor Akbar getting in on the action. Haskins was getting the worst of it when the Lightning Express (Brad Armstrong & "White Lightning" Tim Hoerner) raced down to ringside to chase off the feisty manager. Akbar returned with reinforcements in the form of the One Man Gang and Bad, Bad, Leroy Brown who quickly joined in on the fracas. Referee Carl Fergie called for the bell at 6:38 after his ten count went unanswered.

3. Brett Wayne Sawyer called out the First Family's "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert and challenged the UWF Television Champ to put his Title on the line in an impromptu match this evening. The fans were certainly into it and clapped along with Sawyer as a flustered Gilbert raced around the ring in street clothes and sunglasses petitioning for quiet. Eddie finally got on the mic to address his adversary, "I got... I got me a little too much sun today by the pool, Brett...." he said while wiping his brow, "I'm in no condition to wrassle you..." The stammering Gilbert was peppered with boos and jeers as "The First Lady of Professional Wrestling" Missy Hyatt attended to his sunburn with aloe vera lotion. ".... but how 'bout this... hear me out now - you face Rick Steiner tonight instead, okay, and if you win then I'll give you a title shot next week?" Brett accepted the offer and Steiner climbed through the ropes to get it all started. Using his speed and quickness, the fired up Sawyer had things going his way until disaster struck. Brett scaled the top rope to deliver a high risk maneuver but was pushed from behind by the devious Gilbert before he could properly set himself. In the meantime, Referee Ron West was kept preoccupied with Missy Hyatt who had climbed up onto the apron to complain. Sawyer crashed awkwardly to the canvas and was then flattened by a Flying Clothesline from the 2nd rope by his opponent as he attempted to get back to his feet. Steiner hooked a leg and West made the three count. The time of the fall was 4:01. The swarmy Gilbert was joined by Terry Taylor to celebrate Steiner's victory and oblivious to the screaming fans who cheered on the arrival of the Fabulous Freebirds as they hit the ring to clean house of the First Family. Terry Gordy, who was eliminated from the Number One Contenders' Battle Royal by Hot Stuff's interference last week, put a beating on Gilbert before tossing him over the top rope and to the floor. Eddie had to be helped by Steiner and Taylor as the First Family beat a hasty retreat to the back.

4. "Gentleman" Chris Adams proved that he could mix it up, too, as he brawled with rugged Jack Victory. This match ended up OOR with Victory grabbing a nearby folding chair and charging at Adams on the floor only to have it Superkicked into his own face. Jack was seeing stars as Referee Tommy Gilbert counted him out at 7:31. After the bout, Adams challenged Terry Taylor to come back down to ringside and face him inside the squared circle. Still smarting from the melee with the Freebirds, Taylor reluctantly hobbled down the aisle and climbed into the ring. Taylor put up his dukes and egged his adversary to take a swing but quickly bailed from the ring before Adams could get his hands on him.

5. The Lightning Express and Devastation Incorporated returned to the ring for Round 2 in a Tag Team Grudge Match that pitted Armstrong & Hoerner's speed and agility against the size and brute force of Leroy Brown and the One Man Gang. As it turned out, General Skandor Akbar's interference would be the difference. With Referee Carl Fergie down and all four men battling it out inside the ring, Akbar bashed Tim Hoerner in the back of the head with his riding crop. The Gang followed up with a pulverizing 747 Splash from the 2nd rope to pin White Lighning as Fergie recovered to count the 1-2-3 at 7:57.

6. The Main Event featured a UWF Heavyweight Championship Match with Steve "Dr. Death" Williams defending his crown against his former friend and tag team partner Ted Dibiase who earned the title shot after winning last week's Number One Contenders' Battle Royal. Conspicuously absent from Dibiase's right hand tonight was the mysterious black glove which figured prominently in eliminating Lord Humongous from the afore mentioned Battle Royal. Alas, that would change during the course of the battle. Dr. Death began to dominate the action as the bout wore on prompting a desperate Dibiase to go to his tights and retrieve the glove. Williams was able to duck the subsequent loaded punch, however, leaving Referee Ron West, who was standing behind the Champ, to catch the stray haymaker flush on the chin. West went down like a ton of bricks as the two men continued to go at it. Dibiase missed with another wild punch and spun around like a top right into an Atomic Knee Drop which propelled him face first into a corner turnbuckle. The battered challenger rolled himself out of the ring as a woozy Ron West called for the bell and awarded the match to Williams via disqualification at 9:21. Your winner and still UWF Heavyweight Champion - Steve "Dr. Death" Williams.

Announcers: Larry Nelson & "Dapper" Dave Prill
Ring Announcer: Donna Gagne
Referees: Marty Miller, Jim Bunning & "Bench Warmer" Bob Lurtsema

1. Buck "Rock & Roll" Zumhoffe (w/ Blaring Boom Box) opened the show with a win over Chris Curtis at 4:07. Curtis could not match speed or technical moves with his opponent, so he resorted to eye rakes, chokeholds and brawling to keep himself in the match. Zumhoffe more than held his own when it came to the rough stuff and scored the pinfall with a Flying Cross Body Press off the ropes.

2. Anthony "Earthquake" Ferris gave the Masked Superstar a run for his money before going down to defeat at 6:23. The Superstar got a helping hand from his shady manager Sheik Adnan El-Kaisee who blinded Earthquake with a handful of powder. Big Anthony staggered around the ring and was caught from behind by his opponent with a Cobra Clutch. Ferris was unable to escape the hold and was forced to submit.

3. "Top Gun" Ricky Rice (w/ John Paul Demann) over "Pretty Boy" Doug Somers (w/ "Playboy" Buddy Rose & "Sensational" Sherri Martel) at 7:48. This bout could easily have been mistaken for a tag team match at times what with both Rose and Demanns getting in on the action. Referee Bob Lurtsema has his hands full keeping the respective corner men at bay. Rice rolled up Somers from behind amidst a ring full of chaos to gain the three count. After the bell, the Playboy challenged the Top Guns to a tag match next week. Demann & Rice eagerly accepted.

4. "Mr. Magnificent" Kevin Kelly (w/ Madusa Micelli) defeated David Sammartino by way of Count Out at 8:10. David dominated the action inside the ring until he was baited into a confrontation with Madusa OOR. Kelly immediately came to his valet's rescue with a Double Axe Handle from behind and choked out Sammartino with Ring Announcer Donna Gagne's microphone cord. Mr. Magnificent then rolled himself back inside the ring in time to make Referee Marty Miller's ten count leaving his dazed opponent gasping for breath on the floor.

5. "Z Man" Tom Zenk was also counted out in his match against "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin (w/ Precious). Zenk became increasingly frustrated by Garvin bailing out of the ring at the first sign of trouble. The reluctant Garvin appeared to be walking out on the match as he began to head back toward the dressing room, but the Z Man gave chase and caught up with him in the aisle. The two were battling it out until Precious sprayed Zenk in the face with her aerosol can. Garvin quickly scampered back inside the ring just barely in time to make Referee Jim Bunning's ten count. The time of the match was 7:34.

6. The veteran tandem of Crusher Jerry Blackwell and Baron Von Raschke defeated Sheik Adnan El-Kaisee's team of Boris Zhukov and Nord the Barbarian in the Main Event at 8:27. The heels had the upperhand and were about to whip their opponents into one another from opposite corners of the ring when Blackwell abruptly put on the brakes. The Barbarian was then sent crashing into his own partner to set up Jerry's Big Splash pin on Zhukov.

Announcers: Ken Resnick & "Dapper" Dave Prill
Ring Announcer: "Slick" Mick Karch
Referees: Rich Frisk, Gary DeRusha & Scott Ledoux

1. Tony Leone opened the show in brutal fashion as he clobbered opponent Leon White with a chair shot from behind during the Baby Bull's ring entrance. White lost 200 points as a result of the assault but went on to win the bout nonetheless. Leone was repeatedly warned about his roughhouse tactics throughout the match by Referee Rich Frisk, but went too far when he shoved the official down to the mat. Frisk wasted no time in calling for the DQ at 4:43.

2. Madusa Micelli (w/ "Mr. Magnificent" Kevin Kelly) may have underestimated her opponent Brandi Mae in their Ladies Match. Madusa sent her opponent flying into the corner on a hard Irish whip but played to the crowd instead of following up on her advantage. Micelli was greeted by a boot to the midsection when she finally moved in and was then flattened by the native of Spivey, KS with a Running Bulldog Headlock out of the corner. We'll never know if Brandi would have gained the pinfall because Kevin Kelly pulled Referee Gary DeRusha OOR by his ankles to break the pin count. Madusa was disqualified by DeRusha for Mr. Magnificent's interference at 6:38.

3. In what was easily the match of the night, "Midnight Rocker" Marty Jannetty bested "Mr. Electricity" Steve Regal in a fast paced cruiserweight contest. Mr. Electricy no doubt thought that he was on his way to a submission victory when he applied his Ft. Lauderdale (Standing Figure Four) Leglock, but Jannetty barely managed to escape by grabbing the bottom rope to break the hold. The frustrated Regal may have gone to the well once too often when he attempted to re-apply the Leglock and was cradled in a Small Package by Jannetty for the pin at 12:00.

4. "Olympian" Brad Rheingans over Alexis Smirnoff (w/ Yuri Gordyenko) at 8:40. Bolstered by the frequent "U.S.A.!!" chants from the patriotic Milwaukee crowd, Rheingans overcame some dirty double teaming and blatant interference on the part of Gordyenko to win the bout. Smirnoff was Atomic Dropped directly into his partner and recoiled back into a Bridging Back Suplex for the winning three count.

5. The Pretty Playboys ("Pretty Boy" Doug Somers & "Playboy" Buddy Rose w/ Manageress "Sensational" Sherri Martel) defeated the Top Guns (Ricky Rice & John Paul Demann) at 6:51. (The Top Guns accepted Rose's challenge for this match after Demann had beaten Somers last week in singles competition.) Things looked grim for the Playboy when he became caught in Demann's Sleeper Hold and was fading fast, but the savvy Rose was able to kick off a corner turnbuckle sending both men falling back to the mat. No one knew whose shoulders were being counted by Referee Gary DeRusha as Demann kept his Sleeper Hold applied on the canvas, but the unpopular decision became obvious when the official raised the Pretty Playboys hands in victory.

6. AWA World Title Re-Match as ordered by Commissioner Stanley Blackburn. Champion Rick Martel successfully retained the title by turning back the challenge of the former champion "Living Legend" Larry Zbysko (w/ Mr. Go the Ninja) at 7:01. Martel was at the top of his game in this bout and dominated the action from start to finish. A desperate Zbyszko clobbered the Champ with Mr. Go's nunchucks while the dark ninja tried to divert Referee Scott Ledoux's attention, but the official still managed to catch the flagrant foul and awarded the match to Martel by way of disqualification.

Announcers: "Dapper" Dave Prill & Larry "The Axe" Hennig
Ring Announcer: Larry Nelson
Referees: Robert Warren, Gary DeRusha & Marty Miller

1. Curt Hennig stopped by the announcers' table as he made his way to the ring to get some last minute advice from his pop Larry "The Axe" Henning and earned himself 50 extra points in the process. Not to be outdone, Curt's opponent Rick Gantner also added to his score by generating tremendous heel heat in Las Vegas. Gantner made the mistake of turning his back on Hennig to jaw with some rowdy fans in the crowd and was Drop Kicked clear out of the ring. Gantner appeared to suffer a knee injury after crashing hard to the floor and was counted out by Referee Robert Warren at 4:10.

2. Go the Ninja (w/ "Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko) defeated Jake "The Milkman" Milliman at 4:32. It was clear from the very beginning that Zbyszko was going to play a significant role in the outcome of this bout one way or another. Milliman got into it with Larry during the ring introductions enabling the devious ninja to attack before the bell and take the early advantage. The Milkman was mounting a comeback when Zbyszko interjected himself once more. Jake caught the Living Legend up on the apron and was threatening to haul off and wallop him when Go snuck in with a roll up from behind to score the winning pinfall.

3. Australian Susan Sexton was well received by the fans as she took on the Magnificent Mimi. Perhaps these ladies have tangled in the past because there definitely appeared to be some bad blood between them. Hair pulling, eye rakes and stinging slaps across the face were the order of the day. Referee Marty Miller asserted his authority and issued stern warnings to both gals to knock off the rough stuff. In an interesting development, "The Mercenary from South Africa" Colonel DeBeers came down to ringside and snuck his swagger stick into the ring for Mimi to use. Sexton saw the object pass between them, however, and pounced on Mimi before she could use it. The girls fought to gain control of the swagger stick and pushed Marty Miller down to the mat during the struggle. The official had enough and disqualified both ladies at 6:01.

4. While Ring Announcer Larry Nelson was being chastised by "Playboy" Buddy Rose for introducing him as weighing 271 lbs., Rose's opponent "Top Gun" Ricky Rice encouraged the crowd to chant "Pillsbury Dough Boy" along with him. The Playboy did some sloppy jumping jacks and one-armed pushups to demonstrate that he was physically fit, but went too far when he struck some comical muscle poses. The grapplers finally got down to business with Rose's bulk modifier being effectively offset by the speed of his high-flying adversary. "Pretty Boy" Doug Somers interjected himself into the proceedings by sliding a chair into the ring for Rose to use while manageress "Sensational" Sherri Martel distracted Referee Robert Warren. Rice's tag team partner Jon Paul Demann saw the mischief and ran in to snatch the weapon away from the Playboy. Warren turned around to find Demann holding the chair in the ring and called for the bell. Your winner by DQ at 8:33 - "Playboy" Buddy Rose.

5. AWA TV Championship Match. Celebrity Wayne Newton entered the ring to plug his upcoming performance in Vegas and gave Greg Gagne a pat on the back (along with 100 bonus points) as the television champ prepared to defend his crown against King Tonga. The challenger's manager Sheik Adnan El-Kaisee was peppered with chants of "Sheik's a Freak !" as he led his man down to ringside. Tonga paused to snarl at a youngster and earned himself 100 heel points for frightening the lad, but got off to a slow start once the action got under way. Gagne took control with a series of arm drags and kept Tonga grounded on the mat with a prolonged Indian Death Lock. Things went from bad to worse when the challenger became trapped in the famous Gagne Sleeper. El-Kaisee immediately sent the Masked Superstar into the ring to break up the hold prompting Referee Gary DeRusha to call for the disqualification at 8:07. The Superstar laid out Gagne with a Swinging Neckbreaker before smugly departing the ring. Greg Gagne retains the AWA TV Title.

6. There was chaos from the very start when the AWA Tag Team Champion Midnight Rockers (Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannety) met "Mr. Electricity" Steve Regal and "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin w/ valet Precious) in a non-title bout. Regal was bopped over the head with a sign by an over zealous fan during a confrontation OOR. Showboat Security immediately stepped in to apprehend the spectator, but Mr. Electricty lost 50 points as a result of the incident. The mayhem escalated when Garvin sprayed Marty Jannetty in the face with his valet's air freshener aerosol. Shawn Michaels then snatched the can away and smashed Gorgeous Jimmy in the noggin with it. Referee Marty Miller called for the bell and DQ'd both teams at 7:49.
