WCCW Results (Circa Mid 80's) - Reliant Arena, Houston, TX. Att: 8,049.

Announcers: Dan Coats & Johnny Weaver
Ring Announcer: Joe Rinelli
Referees: Rick Hazzard & "Reliable" Ralph Pulley

1. "Mr. USA" Tony Atlas pinned Thor after a Military Press Slam followed by a Splash at 3:06.

2. Jake "The Snake" Roberts (w/ Nicola Roberts) over Spike Huber at 5:42. Nicola smashed Spike over the head with his own hard hat while Jake kept Referee Ralph Pulley distracted. The woozy Spike stumbled right into the Snake's DDT for the pinfall.

3. TV Tournament Match. "Killer" Tim Brooks (w/ ominous chain) eliminated "Master G" George Wells (w/ football background) at 6:14. With Referee Rick Hazzard down on the canvas, Brooks clotheslined Wells with his chain and then finished him off with a Leg Drop off the 2nd rope. Hazzard recovered in time to count the pin.

4. "Crippler" Rip Oliver (w/ Jim Cornette) over Brian Adidas via Count Out at 10:37. Adidas was chasing the pesty Cornette around ringside when he was blindsided by a flying knee smash from behind by Oliver. Adidas crashed head-first into the steel barricade railing and could not make the subsequent ten count.

5. Tag Team Tournament Match. Nicola Robert's Dynamic Duo of "Gentleman" Chris Adams & "The Handsome Half Breed from Highland Park" Gorgeous Gino Hernandez ousted the Simpsons (Steve & Shaun) at 9:36. Steve Simpson was distracted by Nicola's constant heckling from outside the ring and walked right into Adams' Superkick for the pinfall.

6. Kevin Von Erich defeated Crusher Yurkoff (w/ "Playboy" Gary Hart) at 11:21. With Referee Rick Hazzard knocked down in the action, Yurkoff held Von Erich from behind for a Gary Hart cheap shot. Hart removed a shoe and tried to clobber Von Erich in the head with it but Kevin ducked at the last second and Hart inadvertently hit Yurkoff instead. Von Erich made the cover as Hazzard crawled over to count the pin.

7. Texas Title Tournament Match. "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin (w/ Precious) defeated Iceman King Parsons via Count Out at 14:18. The Iceman got into it with Precious outside the ring and completely lost track of Referee Ralph Pulley's ten count. Garvin advances to the finals to face the winner of the upcoming Rick Rude/Dingo Warrior bout.

1. The Mighty Zulu Warrior over El Gran Diablo by submission with a Bear Hug at 4:40.

2. Killer Khan (w/ taped thumb, green mist and "Playboy" Gary Hart) defeated Sean Cody with his Asiatic Spike (Thumb to throat) at 2:23.

3. "Latin Heartthrob" Alex Perez (w/ General Skandor Akbar) over Jose Lothario by submission with a Spinning Toe Hold at 10:11.

4. TV Tournament Match. Al Madril eliminated "Cowboy" Scott Casey (w/ Sunshine) via Count Out at 9:45 after Madril smashed a garbage can over Casey's back during OOR action.

5. Tag Team Tournament Match. Jim Cornette's Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) and the Pretty Young Things (Koko B. Ware & Norvell Austin) were both DQ'd by Referee David Manning after a wild brawl around ringside involving all four men at 13:26. The two teams will meet in a rematch next week.

6. Grudge Match. "Gentleman" Chris Adams (w/ Nicola Roberts & "Gorgeous" Gino Hernandez) defeated Mike Von Erich at 10:28. Von Erich was seeking revenge for a wicked chair chot from Adams that left him with a mild concussion a few weeks back. Mike was at a terrible disadvantage as Gino Hernandez got in several cheap shot while Nicola Roberts kept Referee Bronco Lubich occupied. Von Erich could take no more and slapped the Iron Claw Hold on Hernandez while he was up on the apron. Adams seized the moment with a quick roll up from behind for the pinfall.

7. Texas Tournament Match. "Ravishing" Rick Rude (w/ Percy Pringle III) eliminated the Dingo Warrior at 13:17. With Referee David Manning down on the mat, Pringle clubbed the Warrior from behind with his walking stick. Rude made the cover as Manning recovered to count the pin.

1. Mark Youngblood pinned Mr. Ebony with a leaping Tomahawk Chop to the head off the top rope at 2:13.

2. The Grappler over Johnny Mantel with a Powerslam at 5:39.

3. TV Tournament Finals. Al Madril pinned "Killer" Tim Brooks (w/ rusty chain) with a Backslide at 7:31 to win the WCCW TV Title.

4. Tag Tournament Match. Jim Cornette's Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) ousted the Pretty Young Things (Norvell Austin & Koko B. Ware) at 7:23. The Midnights pinned Austin with the Veg-O-Matic (Condrey Bear Hug & Eaton Diving Leg Drop off the top rope combo) to advance to the Finals to face Nicola Robert's Dynamic Duo of "Genteman" Chris Adams & "Gorgeous" Gino Hernandez.

5. "Mr. USA" Tony Atlas beat "Crippler" Rip Oliver (w/ Jim Cornette) at 13:36. In an Unusual Ending, both men were KO'd by a violent mid-ring collision off the ropes. Fortunately for the woozy Atlas, he collapsed on top of Oliver for the winning pinfall.

6. "Modern Day Warrior" Kerry Von Erich defeated sleazy Jake "The Snake" Roberts (w/ Nicola Roberts) by submission with the Iron Claw Hold at 11:12.

1. "High Chief" Peter Maivia over Charlie Fulton by submission with the Samoan Stump Puller at 2:46.

2. "The Iron Greek" Spiros Arion (w/ "Hollywood Fashion Plate" Classy Freddie Blassie) pinned Lee Wong from Hong Kong with a Knee Drop off the top rope at 5:13.

3. Steve Travis over Ali Baba by DQ at 8:43. Referee Wee Willie Weber caught Ali Baba bashing Travis in the head with his magic lamp and immedicately called for the bell. Ali Baba then choked out Travis with his tunic for good measure before leaving the ring.

4. George "The Animal" Steele (w/ "The Guiding Light" Captain Louis Albano) beat "Jumping" Johnny Defazio by submission with his Flying Hammerlock at 5:44. Albano was a nuisance at ringside and blew on a whistle throughout the match. Referee Jack Lotz had his hands full with Steele which allowed Albano to get in several cheap shots.

5. Tag Team Tournament Match. The Valiant Brothers ("Handsome" Jimmy & "Luscious" Johnny w/ Captain Lou) defeated the team of Tony Garea & Larry Zbyszko by Count Out. Albano once again caused havoc with his constant interference. Larry Zbyszko had enough and chased "The Captain" from ringside. Unfortunately for Zbyszko, he was counted out in the process by Referee Wee Willie Weber.

6. Fan favorite Bobo Brazil defeated Killer Kowalski (w/ The Grand Wizard of Wrestling) at 13:28. Kowalski was rolled up from behind while conferring with the Grand Wizard in the corner.

7. WWWF Title Tournament Match. "The Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff (w/ Captain Lou) eliminated Pedro Morales by Count Out at 15:43. Lou Albano was the difference once again. This time Captain Lou got into a confrontation with Morales on the floor in OOR action. Pedro leveled Albano with a haymaker as the crowd roared in approval, but he completely lost track of Referee Jack Lotz ten count in the process.

1. Chief Jay Strongbow went on the warpath with a series of tomahawk chops and running knee lifts before finishing off Gypsy Rodriguez with a Sleeper Hold at 5:52.

2. "Olympic Strongman" Ken Patera (w/ "The Guiding Light" Captain Louis Albano) over Frankie Williams with his Swinging Full Nelson Neckbreaker submission at 3:22.

3. Tor Kamata (w/ "Hollywood Fashion Plate" Classy Freddie Blassie) crushed El Olympico with a Diving Splash off the 2nd rope at 8:17.

4. "The Man of a Thousand Masks" Mil Mascaras defeated Hans Shroeder (w/ Captain Lou) at 9:13. The masked man brought the fans to their feet with a spectacular Diving Cross Body Press off the top rope to pin Shroeder.

5. Tag Team Tournament Match. Louis Cerdan & Tony Parisi advanced in the tournament by defeating "Pretty Boy" Larry Sharpe & "Dynamite" Jack Evans at 7:40. Cerdan got Evans to submit to his Figure Four Leglock for the victory. Sharpe ran in to make the save but was intercepted by Parisi and Drop Kicked out of the ring.

6. "Crazy" Luke Graham (w/ The Grand Wizard of Wrestling) over Dominic Denucci at 9:33. "Crazy" Luke bashed Denucci over the head with a chair while the Grand Wizard distracted Referee Mario Savoldi. Denucci was busted open and bleeding profusely. Savoldi examined the wound and stopped the match due to blood.

7. WWWF Title Tournament Match. Bruno Sammartino defeated Stan "The Man" Stasiak (w/ The Grand Wizard) at 16:44. Sammartino got Stasiak to submit to his Bear Hug to advance in the tournament.

1. The popular Hawaiian Dean Ho over Rocky Tamayo by submission with a Full Nelson at 5:43.

2. "The Big Cat" Ernie Ladd (w/ taped thumb and The Grand Wizard of Wrestling) pinned Johnny Rivera after a Big Boot to the mush off the ropes at 6:41.

3. Barefoot "Country Boy" Haystacks Calhoun (w/ lucky horseshoe) crushed Tank Patton with a sit down Splash at 5:11.

4. "Irish" Pat Barrett defeated "Butcher" Paul Vachon at 9:32. With Referee John Stanley knocked down in the action, the big Butcher removed the padding from a corner turnbuckle but Pat Barrett was able to reverse the subsequent head smash to the exposed steel. Vachon went down for the three count as John Stanley recovered to count the pin.

5. Tag Team Tournament Match. The team of Chief Jay Strongbow & Billy White Wolf eliminated Baron Mikel Scicluna & the Golden Terror. Strongbow went into a War Dance and leveled the Golden Terror with a Tomahawk Chop off the ropes for the winning pinfall.

6. Waldo Von Erich (w/ German Helmet and "Hollywood Fashion Plate" Classy Freddie Blassie) over Gorilla Monsoon by DQ at 15:51. Von Erich used every dirty trick in the book and busted Gorilla open with his helmet while Blassie kept Referee Terry Yorkston occupied. The bloodied Monsoon could take no more and pummeled Von Erich in the corner despite Terry Yorkston's repeated warnings and five count to break clean. The fans littered the ring with debris when Jimmy Lennon announced that Yorkston had disqualified Monsoon.

7. WWWF Tournament Match. "Superstar" Billy Graham (w/ purple tie-dye tights and The Grand Wizard) over "Polish Power" Ivan Putski at 14:45. The Grand Wizard was a nuisance and constant distraction for Putski at ringside. The annoyed Putski grabbed the diminutive manager by his suit lapels and hoisted him up to the apron but was rolled up by Graham from behind for the pinfall.

3. "The Iron Greek" Spiros Arion (w/ Freddie Blassie) defeated "Philadelphia's Favorite Son" S.D. "Special Delivery" Jones by submission with a Backbreaker over the shoulder at 4:25.

4. The popular team of Dino Bravo & Dominic Denucci defeated Johnny Rodz & Jose Estrada at 6:25. Denucci with a Sunset Flip on Rodz for the pinfall.

5. Bob Backlund pinned "Dynamite" Jack Evans (w/ "Pretty Boy" Larry Sharpe) with the Delayed Atomic Spinebuster at 11:03. Sharpe was able to get in several cheap shots to help keep his tag team partner Jack Evans in the match but it was not enough to pull out a victory.

6. 6 Man Tag Match. The team of Chief Jay Strongbow, Billy Whitewolf and their surprise mystery partner Andre the Giant (!) defeated Baron Mikel Scicluna, the Golden Terror & "Butcher" Paul Vachon at 10:21. Scicluna and the Terror wanted no part of Andre and refused to tag in as "The Butcher" took a beating. Strongbow finished off Vachon with a Tomahawk Chop to the throat off the ropes. After the bout, dozens of youngsters ran up to ringside and crowded around Andre for an autograph.

1. Newcomer Johnny Gunn pinned Brain Carr with a Small Package at 4:13.

2. Manager turned wrestler "Diamond" Dallas Page over Larry Santo with a Diving Knee Drop off the top rope at 5:11.

3. 2 Cold Scorpio defeated Black Blood (w/ Taskmaster Kevin Sullivan) at 5:35. Sullivan tried to bash Scorpio with a loaded shoe but inadvertently hit his own man Black Blood instead leading to the pinfall.

4. Wild and crazy Cactus Jack (w/ equally wild and crazy Abdullah the Butcher) beat Johnny B. Badd (w/ Teddy Long) at 8:06. While Referee Scott Dickinson was admonishing Cactus Jack for his questionable tactics, Abdullah smashed Badd from behind with his Kendo Stick. Cactus quickly made the cover for the pin.

5. "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes over Bunkhouse Buck (w/ Colonel Robert Parker) at 11:39. Dustin scored the pin with his patented Bulldog finisher.

6. The Skyscrapers (Sid Vicious & "Dangerous" Dan Spivey) defeated the Fabulous Freebirds (Jimmy Jam Garvin & Michael P.S. Hayes w/ Big Daddy Dink) at 11:20. Chaos ! With all four men battling in the ring, Referee Nick Patrick lost track of who the legal men were. Spivey cradled Hayes amidst all the turmoil and Patrick counted the pin. (Replays showed that Garvin and Vicious were actually the legal men in the ring at the time.)

7. In the Main Event, "Total Package" Lex Luger beat "All-American" Ron Simmons at 11:50. Luger hit the Attitude Adjustment (Pile Driver) for the pin after doubling over Simmons with an undetected low blow.

Referees: Billy Silverman & Randy "Pee Wee" Anderson

1. "Heavy Metal" Van Hammer defeated Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker from the State Patrol at 5:32 with the Hammer Rocks (Slingshot) Suplex.

2. Vinnie Vegas (w/ Diamond Dallas Page) over the Italian Stallion at 6:41 with a Side Slam off the ropes. (Note: Vegas is a very young and green Kevin Nash : )

3. The Dangerous Alliance ("Double A" Arn Anderson & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton w/ Paul E. Dangerously) beat the Patriots (Firebreaker Chip & Todd Champion) at 9:47. Paul E. took one for the team as he climbed up on the apron and was promptly decked by Todd Champion. Arn capitalized on the opportunity, however, and rolled up Champion from behind for the pinfall.

4. Marcus Alexander Bagwell defeated "The Computerized Man of the 90's) Terrence Taylor of the York Foundation (w/ Director Alexandra York & Head of Security Mr. Hughes) by DQ at 9:25. Ms. York crunched some calculations into her laptop computer and then promptly crunched the laptop itself onto Bagwell's noggin for the disqualification.

5. The Steiners ("Dog-Faced Gremlin" Rick & brother Scott) beat the team of Scotty Flamingo and J.T. Southern at 8:21. Rick pinned Southern with the Diving Bulldog off the top rope.

6. "Lone Wolf" Barry Windham over "Stunning" Steve Austin (w/ Lady Blossom) by DQ at 11:16. Blossom threw a handful of Lilac-Scented Talcum Powder in Barry's eyes for the disqualification. Sore loser Austin then hit the blinded Windham with his Stun Gun (Hot Shot) finisher for good measure.

7. In the Main Event, "Ravishing" Rick Rude (w/ Madusa Micelli) over Sting via Count Out at 16:09. In OOR action, Rude choked out the Stinger with some TV Cables. Gasping for breath and clutching at his throat, Sting was unable to get back inside the ring to make Referee "Pee Wee" Anderson's ten count.

1. The Juicer (Art Barr) pinned "Scrap Iron" Bill Ford with a Superkick at 6:19 after blinding Ford with a can of Silly String moments earlier.

2. Abdullah the Butcher (w/ Cactus Jack) beat "Chief" Allen Iron Eagle at 3:41. Abdullah used the Sudanese Meat Clever (Running Elbow Drop) to secure the win.

3. Scotty Flamingo (w/ J.T. Southern) over Johnny Gunn (w/ "Z Man" Tom Zenk) at 6:12. Flamingo rolled up Johnny Gunn after Southern threw a handful of powder in Gunn's face behind Referee Robarb Jones' back. After the bout, a furious Tom Zenk challenged Flamingo & Southern to a tag match next week.

4. TV Championship Tournament Match. "Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko (w/ Paul E. Dangerously) beat "Rap Master" P.N. News at 11:25 to advance to the next round. Zbyszko blind-sided News from behind as the "Rap Master" jawed with Dangerously. Zbyszko struggled to get the big man up, but was able to deliver his Brainbuster finisher for the pin.

5. Tag Team Championship Tournament Match. The Steiners ("Dog-Faced Gremlin" Rick & Brother Scott) over the Sky Scrapers (Sid Vicious & "Dangerous" Dan Spivey) at 13:04. Scotty with the Frankensteiner on Vicious as Rick sent Spivey out of the ring with a Steinerline (clothesline).

6. United States Championship Tournament Match. The Great Muta from the Orient (w/ "Playboy" Gary Hart) pinned "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes. Muta with a huge Moonsault off the top rope on the prone Rhodes after Hart had tripped "The Natural". After the bout, Papa Dusty left the announcer's table to give Hart a Bionic Elbow Smash to the noggin.

7. WCW Championship Tournament Match. "Lone Wolf" Barry Windham defeated Big Van Vader (w/ Harley Race) via Count Out at 24:24. In OOR action, Windham reversed Vader's Verticle Suplex attempt on the concrete floor. Race desperately tried to help Vader get back into the ring but it was not in time to make Referee Nick Patrick's ten count.

1. The crafty 2 Cold Scorpio pinned Inmate No. 3260 Death Row with an Inside Cradle at 5:10.

2. Cactus Jack (w/ Abdullah the Butcher) defeated "Heavy Metal" Van Hammer with his Double Arm DDT finisher at 4:42. Abdullah's presence at ringside was a major distraction for Hammer.

3. In a grudge match, the team of "Z Man" Tom Zenk & Johnny Gunn beat Scotty Flamingo & J.T. Southern at 7:39. Flamingo held Zenk from behind for a J.T. Southern Superkick, but the "Z Man" ducked at the last second and Flamingo took the kick on the kisser instead leading to the pinfall.

4. TV Tournament Match. Johnny B. Badd defeated "The Computerized Man of the 90's" Terrence Taylor (w/ Alexandra York & Head of Security Mr. Hughes of the York Foundation) by DQ at 11:16. Referee Pee Wee Anderson caught Taylor bashing Johnny over the head with Alexandra York's laptop computer.

5. Tag Team Tournament Match. In a major upset, the Young Pistols (Steve Armstrong & Tracy Smothers) eliminated the Dangerous Alliance (Arn Anderson & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton w/ Paul E. Dangerously) via Count Out at 9:55. In OOR action "Beautiful" Bobby missed a charge at Tracy Smothers and crashed shoulder-first into the ring post. Dangerously tried to roll Eaton back into the ring but it was not in time to make Referee Nick Patrick's ten count.

6. U.S. Tournament Match. "The Dog-Faced Gremlin" Rick Steiner over "Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff by DQ at 15:26. Steiner was able to duck Nikita's Russian Sickle at the last second and Referee Pee Wee Anderson took the brunt of the clothesline instead. A woozy Anderson crawled over to the ropes and signaled to the timekeeper for the disqualification.

7. WCW Title Tournament Match. "Nature Boy" Ric Flair eliminated "All-American" Ron Simmons at 15:10. In true "Nature Boy" fashion, Ric Flair snatched victory from the jaws of defeat by pinning Simmons with a handful of tights after the "All-American" had dominated the majority of the match.

Smokey Mountain Wrestling afternoon matinee (Circa Early 90's) - Jefferson County Fairgrounds, Jefferson City, TN. Att: 1,307.
Announcers: Bob Caudle & "Dirty" Dutch Mantel
Ring Announcer: Phil Raney
Referees: Tommy Weathers & Ron Sexton

1. Riki Ataki defeated Scott Braddock in controversial fashion at 5:14. Referee Tommy Weathers was knocked down in the action. As Scott Braddock was helping Weathers get to his feet, Ataki rolled up Braddock from behind. Referee Ron Sexton suddenly ran in and counted the pin. After the bout, Braddock and Tommy Weathers both had words with Sexton but the decision stood.

2. "Hollywood" Bob Holly over Billy Joe Travis by DQ at 6:41. Holly found a lead pipe under the ring and snuck it in behind Referee Ron Sexton's back, however Travis was able to pry it out of Holly's hands before he could use it. Unfortunately for Travis, Sexton caught him holding the pipe and signaled for the disqualification. A lot of heat from the crowd toward Sexton.

There was an unexpected intermission in the card as several youngsters ran into the ring and began trying to wrestle with one another. Tommy Rich was able to help the kids' parents coax them out of the ring with candy apples and cotton candy from the fairgrounds' concession stands. Tommy also signed autographs for the children and gave them tickets to ride on the Ferris Wheel.

3. The popular masked man Dixie Dynamite defeated the unpopular masked man Black Knight by DQ at 5:34. The Knight was caught red-handed with Brass Knucks by Referee Tommy Weathers who immediately signaled for the disqualification.

4. "White Lightning" Tim Hoerner pinned Norvell Austin with the Natural Bridge (Bridging O'Connor Roll) at 10:44 in this hard fought contest that saw several near pinfalls.

Live "Down & Dirty with Dutch" Segment inside the ring.

Dutch's guests were the Rose Cousins (Randy & Pat) along with "Loverboy" Dennis Condrey. The trio discuss their feud and upcoming six man match with the Rich Cousins. Pat Rose explains that Condrey is kin to the Rose Family. Randy produces a handful of notarized documents to support his cousin's claim. Condrey confirms that he is indeed a "second cousin twice removed" to the Roses and that the documents clearly trace his lineage to the Rose Family. The trio say that they are going to give the Rich Cousins "a good ol'fashioned country ass-whuppin" here today.

5. Jimmy Golden (w/ Robert Fuller & Miss Sylvia) defeated Robert Gibson via Count Out at 9:31. In OOR action, Miss Sylvia slipped Golden her loaded purse which Golden used to KO Gibson. The woozy Gibson could not recover in time to make Referee Tommy Weathers' ten count.

6. Six Man Tag Match Main Event. With dark storm clouds looming over the Jefferson County Fairgrounds and rumbles of thunder approaching from the distance, The Rose Cousins ("Ravishing" Randy, Pat, & "Second Cousin Twice Removed" Loverboy Dennis Condrey) defeated the Rich Cousins (Tommy "Wildfire" Rich, Johnny "Crash" Rich & Davey Rich) at 15:15. Referee Ron Sexton had difficulty maintaining order in this bitter feud. As Sexton was sending Tommy & Johnny Rich back to their corner, Condrey snuck into the ring and delivered a Brainbuster onto Davey. Sexton turned around just in time to count the pin as Pat Rose made the cover on Davey. Fans pelted the ring with hotdog wrappers and popcorn boxes as the Rose Cousins celebrated. Heavy rain suddenly began to fall and the grandstands abruptly emptied as fans and wrestlers alike ran for cover.

1. "Hangman" Bobby Jaggers pinned Tommy Angel with his Hangman's Neckbreaker at 2:53. After the bout, Jaggers had to be restrained from putting his hangman's noose over Angel's throat.

2. Ric McCord over "Wild" Bill Ash by DQ at 7:47. Ash went berserk and unloaded with a barrage of kicks, punches and chokeholds on McCord in the corner. Ash refused to break on Referee Tommy Weather's five count and threw the ref out of the ring before continuing his attack. "White Lightning" Tim Hoerner ran in from the back to chase off Ash.

Pat Rose was found bloody and battered backstage by his cousin Randy Rose and "second cousin twice removed" Dennis Condrey. Pat was clearly hurting and had to be taken to the ringside physician. He kept shouting "Those sons o' bitches, Rich cowards !" as the doctor stitched him up.

"Down & Dirty with Dutch" Segment

Dutch Mantel began the show by welcoming his Kansas Jayhawks' partner "Hangman" Bobby Jaggers to Smokey Mountain Wrestling. Mantel brags about Jaggers' career `accomplishments and said "we need more men like Bobby Jaggers in Smokey Mountain !" The two are suddenly interrupted by the fuming Randy Rose and Dennis Condrey. Randy says it took 40 stitches to close the gash in his cousin Pat's forehead. Condrey says that Pat is so "spittin' mad" that he wants to take out all three Rich Cousins by himself ! Randy challenges any Rich who can hear his voice to a match tonight ! He says that all the Rich boys are "gutless yella cowards" and doubts any of them will find the courage to face him. Johnny "Crash" Rich comes out and accept's Randy's challenge. The confrontation is hot and heated. Even Bobby Jaggers seems to want a piece of Johnny Rich. Tommy and Davey Rich come out to even the odds. There's a lot of pushing and shoving and name calling. Dutch Mantel does his best to keep everyone separated as the segment ends.

3. Killer Kyle over "White Lightning" Tim Hoerner via Count Out at 11:59. Killer clotheslined Hoerner over the barricade railing and into the front row of seats during OOR action. Hoerner never emerged from the crowd as Referee Mark Curtis put the ten count on him. After the bout, Ric McCord came out to check on Hoerner and assist him backstage.

4. Lumberjack Match. Johnny "Crash" Rich vs. "Ravishing" Randy Rose

The Lumberjacks surrounding the ring included Tommy and Davey Rich as well as "The Black Rose" (as he now wishes to be called) Loverboy Dennis Condrey. Pat Rose, however, was not present.

Johnny "Crash" Rich pinned "Ravishing" Randy Rose at 7:21. Rose was clearly distracted by the presence of Tommy and Davey Rich at ringside. He jawed with them constantly throughout the bout and accused Tommy of trying to trip him as he came off he ropes. Randy turned around right into a Flying Forearm Smash from Johnny for the winning pinfall. Randy kicked the bottom rope and cussed as the Rich Cousins celebrated OOR.

5. SMW Tag Team Championship Tournament Match. The Nightmares (Danny Davis & Ken Wayne w/ Jimmy "Mouth of the South" Hart) defeated the Gibsons (Ricky and brother Robert) at 9:51. Hart smashed Rick from behind with his megaphone while Danny Davis distracted Referee Tommy Weathers. Ken Wayne then made the cover as Weathers turned around to count the pin.

6. SMW Championship Tournament Match. "Dr. D." David Schultz over "Flamboyant" Eric Embry via Count Out at 14:34. Schultz gave Embry an undetected Low Blow during OOR action. Embry could not get back in the ring in time to make Referee Mark Curtis' ten count.

1. Pat Rose (w/ his cousin "Ravishing" Randy Rose) defeated Joe Cazana at 6:52. "Ravishing" Randy grabbed Cazana's leg as he was bounding off the ropes. When Cazana spun around to confront Randy, he was rolled up from behind by Cousin Pat for the pin.

2. "The Original Country Boy" Cousin Roscoe Junior pinned Ben Jordan after a Mule Kick off the ropes at 5:53.

3. TV Tournament Match. Jerry Oates over "Hangman" Bobby Jaggers (w/ "Dirty" Dutch Mantel) by DQ at 7:23. Apparently unfamiliar with "Bullett" Bob Armstrong's SMW Rule Book, newcomer Bobby Jaggers tossed Oates over the top rope and OOR. Referee Jerry Calhoun immediately signaled for the disqualification.

4. Tag Tournament Match. The Tennessee Stud Stable (Robert Fuller & Jimmy Golden w/ Miss Sylvia) eliminated the Rich Cousins (Johnny "Crash" Rich & Davey Rich) at 7:35. Golden with the Tennessee Headbuster (Piledriver) on Johnny for the pin. "Ravishing" Randy Rose, who did guest commentary at the announcers' table for the bout, razzed the Rich Cousins on their loss as they returned to the dressing room. Johnny hauled off and clocked Rose to loud cheers from the fans.

5. "Superstar" Bill Dundee defeated "The Black Rose" Loverboy Dennis Condrey (w/ Pat Rose) by DQ at 12:09. Referee Ron Sexton caught Pat Rose throwing a handful of powder in Dundee's face and called for the bell. After the bout, Condrey and Rose accused Sexton of being on the Rich Cousins' payroll.

6. SMW Title Tournament Match. "Primetime" Brian Lee and "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff were both DQ'd by Referee Jerry Calhoun at 15:38 after both men pushed the referee down and started throwing haymakers at one another. Several wrestlers rushed into the ring to separate the two combatants.

1. Killer Kyle made short work of Tommy Angel by defeating him in 1:34. Angel missed a corner charge and ran shoulder-first into the ring post. Kyle secured the pin with a foot on the ropes for added leverage. Ric McCord ran into the ring to point out the rules infraction to Referee Tommy Weathers but the decision stood.

2. Frankie "The Thumper" Lancaster upset Ric McCord with help from Killer Kyle at 8:00. Kyle retuned to ringside and bashed McCord from behind with his violin case while Lancaster kept Referee Mac MacMurray occupied. Frankie then covered the KO'd McCord for the pinfall.

3. "The Black Rose" Loverboy Dennis Condrey (w/ Pat Rose & "Ravishing" Randy Rose) over Johnny "Crash" Rich via Count Out at 9:30. Condrey threw Rich OOR and let the Rose Cousins work him over while he kept Referee Tommy Weathers distracted. The Roses gave Johnny a Double Hot Shot onto the steel barricade railing. Clutching his throat and gasping for breath, Rich could not make it back inside the ring in time to make the Weathers' ten count. After the match, the Roses & Condrey continued to triple-team Johnny until his cousins Tommy and Davey Rich ran in to clean house and make the save.

4. "White Lightning" Tim Hoerner defeated Robert Fuller (w/ Miss Sylvia) at 8:50. Fuller was conferring with his valet in the corner when Hoerner snuck up from behind with a surprise Schoolboy Rollup for the pin.

5. TV Tournament Match. The Dirty White Boy (w/ Ron Wright) eliminated Dixie Dynamite at 11:10. Ron Wright was a constant distraction at ringside and heckled Dixie Dynamite throughout the contest. Dixie spun around to confront him and was caught with a Clothesline from behind by the Dirty White Boy for the pin.

6. Tag Team Tournament match. Jim Cornette's Heavenly Bodies ("Sweet" Stan Lane & "Doctor of Desire" Tom Pritchard) beat the Batten Twins (Bart & Brad) at 8:19. The Heavenly Bodies combined for a double team Flapjack on Bart while Referee Mac MacMurray was sending Brad back to his corner. MacMurray turned around just in time to count "Sweet" Stan's pin on Bart.

7. SMW Title Tournament Match. "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff defeated "Primetime" Brian Lee via Count Out 15:16. In OOR action, Orndorff dropped "Primetime" ribs-first onto a chair. Lee could not recover in time to make Referee Tommy Weather's ten count.

1. Paul Ellering beat Vic Rossitani by submission with a Bear Hug at 2:57.

2. Ron Slinker pinned Prince Tonga with a Double Karate Thrust to the throat at 6:22.

3. Jerry Briscoe over "Hustler" Rip Rogers (w/ Miss Brenda Britton) at 8:18. Rogers tucked his head too soon on a Back Body Drop attempt and was pinned by Brisco with an Oklahoma Side Roll.

4. The team of Ray Candy & Rocky Johnson defeated Assassins 1 & 2 by DQ at 8:08. Referee Stu Schwartz caught Assassin #2 slugging Candy with Brass Knucks for the disqualification.

5. In a Grudge Match, the Spoiler pinned Steve Keirn's shoulders to the mat with his Super Claw Hold at 9:54. The Spoiler refused to release the hold until Mike Graham ran in from the back to make the save. Spoiler #2 then ran out to even the odds. With all four men battling in the ring, several wrestlers raced in from the locker room to help break up the melee.

6. Florida Championship Tournament Finale. In a marathon match, "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes prevailed by pinning Terry Funk with his Bionic Elbow Drop at 45:04. Dusty wins the Florida Championship !

3. Rocky Johnson pinned Siegfried Stanke at 8:06 after Stanke leapt off the top rope with a Diving Knee Drop but found nothing but canvas.

4. The team of Tiger Conway Jr. & Sweet Brown Sugar beat Mr. Sato & Mr. Saito by DQ at 9:44. Saito threw Referee Charley Laye over the top rope after the ref admonished him for his rule breaking tactics.

5. The Missouri Mauler defeated "All-American" Bob Roop via Count Out at 10:08. The Mauler back dropped Roop over the top rope and out of the ring on a corner charge. Roop landed hard on the floor and could not recover in time to make Referee Don Curtis' ten count.

6. "Lumberjack" Jos LeDuc (w/ Sonny King) used a handful of tights to pin the popular Jimmy Garvin at 20:43 in the Main Event.

3. Ox Baker beat "The Unofficial Mayor of Lake City" Bubba Douglas with his dreaded Heart Punch at 8:42. Ox referred to Bubba as "The American Dream" throughout the match in reference to the Florida Champion Dusty Rhodes.

4. The popular Tiger Conway Jr. pinned Thor the Viking (w/ Sonny King) after a High Flying Drop Kick to the mush coming off the ropes at 11:23. (Thor the Viking is a young Scott Irwin.)

5. Steve Keirn defeated the wild and crazy Bugsy McGraw (w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink) at 11:40. McGraw was inadvertently bumped off the top rope by his own manager after Keirn caught Sir Oliver with a haymaker up on the apron. McGraw crotched himself on the top rope on the way down leading to the pin.

6. Florida Tag Team Tournament Match. In the Main Event, The Masked Spoilers (I & II) eliminated the Brisco Brothers (Jack & Jerry) at 13:11. Spoiler II pinned Jerry with a spiked Piledriver behind the referee's back as Bill Alphonso was sending Jack back to his corner. (The Briscos lost valuable points when they were jumped from behind by the Spoilers during a pre-match interview with Jay Goodley at ringside.)

1. Ron Slinker (w/ "Playboy" Gary Hart) over Herb Calvert by submission with a Leg Grapevine at 2:46.

2. Paul Ellering defeated Butch Cassidy with a Bear Hug submission at 3:04.

3. Siegfried Stanke (w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink) beat Tiger Conway Jr. via Count Out at 7:39. In OOR action, Sir Oliver got into a confrontation with Conway and the two traded punches on the floor. Humperdink got the worst of the exchange but managed to keep Tiger out of the ring long enough to be counted out by Referee Sonny Myers.

4. Tag Team Tournament Match. Mr. Sato & Mr. Saito eliminated Ray Candy & Rocky Johnson at 10:55. Mr. Sato threw a handful of ceremonial salt into Ray Candy's eyes while Referee Scrappy McGowan was sending Rocky Johnson back to his corner. Mr. Saito then cradled the blinded Candy as McGowan turned around just in time to count the pin.

5. Jack Brisco defeated King Curtis Iaukea (w/ Sonny King) at 8:57. Brisco caught Sonny King up on the apron and was about to unload a haymaker when he heard King Curtis sneaking up from behind. Brisco ducked at the last second and Iaukea leveled his own manager with a Double Axe Handle. Curtis was trying to help Sonny King get back to his feet when Brisco rolled him up from behind for the winning pinfall.

6. After consulting with the various voices in his head, the demented Killer Karl Kox clobbered Mike Graham with a money bag that he claims was given to him by his friend Lars Anderson. Kox then finished off the woozy Graham with a Brainbuster as Scrappy McGowan made the three count.

3. The Mod Squad (Spike & Basher) over the Mulkey Brothers (Bill & Randy) at 4:44. Spike made the pin after the Mods hit a Double Russian Legsweep on Bill.

4. Krusher Khruschev (w/ Ivan & Nikita Koloff) defeated "Avalanche" Buzz Tyler via Count Out at 8:01. In OOR action, Khruschev dropped Tyler throat-first onto the steel barricade railing. Tyler could not recover in time to make the referee's ten count.

5. The Spoiler (w/ "Playboy" Gary Hart) beat "Mr. USA" Tony Atlas by Count Out at 5:27. The Spoiler threw Atlas out of the ring and suplexed him through the announcer's table while Hart distracted Referee Tommy Young. Tony could not make the ten count.

6. The Tag Team match between the Minnesota Wrecking Crew ("The Enforcer" Arn Anderson & "The Rock" Ole Anderson) and the Brisco Brothers (Jack & Jerry) never took place. The Briscos were jumped backstage by the Four Horsemen (Ric Flair, Tully Blanchard & the Andersons) prior to the match and were too injured to compete after the assault.

7. In the Main Event, Magnum T.A. pinned the "Big Cat" Ernie Ladd with a Diving Cross Body Press off the top rope at 17:26.
