A few notes:

I'm getting pretty good at this.
This is my third set of Statis Pro cards. The download numbers I've seen have impressed me so much that, in a few weeks, you might just see another set -- 1955.
As before, I did all by hand, without aid of a special card-making program. In all, it again took me about 21 days to complete the cards from start to finish.
But, once again, I had to figure certain ratings, outfielders' and catchers' arm ratings being the two most difficult, from the stats I could find. My outfield arm ratings are again based on outfield assists, my catcher ratings on catcher assists.
So, for the third time -- If you believe a rating is wrong for a certain player or groups of players, it probably is. Go ahead and change it.

The good news (or bad news, depending on your point of view) is that the file contains cards only for those players with 50 or more at bats or 30 or more innings pitched. I got a little tired doing every player the last time.
One thing you might notice right away -- the Chicago Cubs' pitchers are not included with the batters. That was a big mistake of mine. When I started doing the fielding ratings, I noticed I had neglected to put the Cub pitchers on. But never fear, Cub fans, the pitchers are on pages 30 and 31 of the file.

Also, and I should have mentioned this in my previous two READMEs, you need only print pages 1-31 of this file to get the full card set. The rest of the pages (most of 31 and 32-84) are for anyone who wants to tackle the job themselves. You can create cards for another season, create the rest of the 1954 players, etc. Whatever you like, if you like.

You will also notice symbols or letters on the bottom right of some cards. Those are to distinguish regular cards from others. This being a set with only those hitters at 50+ at bats and 30+ innings, there was no need for the so-called "extra" cards, but there are still combined cards for those players who played with two or more teams. Here's what those symbols mean:

BLANK: A regular card. Stats used for that player are solely for time spent with that team in 1954.
*: A combined Major League card. Stats used were combined from every team that player spent time with in 1954.
A: A combined American League card. Stats used were combined from every AL team that player spent time with in 1954.
N: A combined American League card. Stats used were combined from every NL team that player spent time with in 1954.

I can honestly say I've lost a bit of sleep preparing these cards, but I've found I really enjoy doing them. From the response I've received (in numbers of downloads), you enjoy them, too. So, barring enything major, I see if I can create more.

Until then, enjoy the 1954 season cards.
