A few notes:

This is an anniversary of sorts -- my 10th set of cards. It took me a little longer this time, by choice. I had a long working weekend and needed some time to cool off.
As usual, I did all the cards by hand, without aid of a special program. The catcher and outfield arms ratings were determined by number of assists.

Some other information:
The 1944 card file contains those players with 50 or more at bats or 30 or more innings pitched.
Only one batter received a BD rating 2 -- the Cubs' Bill Nicholson, and only one more received a 1 -- the Giants' Mel Ott.
Five pitchers had their PB rating downgraded -- the Reds' Ed Heusser (2-8 to 2-7), the Yankees' Hank Borowy (2-8 to 2-7), the Browns' Jack Kramer (2-8 to 2-7), the Cardinals' Max Lanier (2-8 to 2-7) and the Phillies' Ken Raffensberger (2-7 to 2-6), while just one received an upgrade -- the Red Sox' Joe Bowman (2-5 to 2-6).

As usual, the combined cards for players who played with two or more teams have either symbols or a letter at the bottom right of their cards. They are:

BLANK: A regular card. Stats used for that player are solely for time spent with that team in 1944.
*: A combined Major League card. Stats used were combined from every team that player spent time with in 1944.
A: A combined American League card. Stats used were combined from every AL team that player spent time with in 1944.
N: A combined American League card. Stats used were combined from every NL team that player spent time with in 1944.

Next up should be 1945 as I continue to proceed from 1944 to 1947. It might take a while, though. I'm currently preparing for the end of summer baseball and the beginning of high school football.

Until the next set, enjoy the 1944 season cards.
