Cadaco All-Star Baseball Making a Return
I know there have been rumors the past 2 years about Cadaco's All Star Baseball making a return to retail shelves. Well, now it can be confirmed, as the company is showing off the new game at the 2003 Toy Fair Convention. Here is a snip from the Cadaco Press Release:

"First sold in 1941, Cadaco's All-Star Baseball Game is returning in a Cooperstown Hall of Fame Edition, packaged in an embossed tin box. Batting and fielding results from real baseball players are translated to special playing discs. The goal is to manage your team to victory.
The game includes all stars from many decades, including Reggie Jackson, Yogi Berra, Ernie Banks, Willie Stargell, and Whitey Ford.

For 2 or more players, ages 10 and up."

I want to thank Joe Midgett for pointing this out to me.

 The Board Reader Version 2
Bill Middleton has uploaded version 2 of his fantastic APBA utility, The Board Reader. Here are the changes and an overview:

"Here's version 2.0 of The Board Reader -- an Excel 2000 spreadsheet. It "reads" the APBA Basic Game boards with Master Game pitching, base stealing and Rare Plays and optionally makes use of the Error Distribution Card. You will still need your APBA player cards and access to Master Game pitching ratings. You can roll the dice or let The Board Reader roll them for you. This spreadsheet is not password protected, so you make the boards read the way you want them to. And it's just plain fun to use.

The interface has been updated to make it even easier to use. Master Game rare plays are optional but available. Instructions included."

You can grab this great utility in the APBA Baseball download section.

 Fast! Football College Update
Matt has updated his wonderful College version of Fast! Football. The previous file incorrectly listed the teams being from 2001. They are for this past season.

Included in today's updates are the 2002 PAC 10, 2002 Big 12, and the top 10 schools from 2002.

Also, Matt has given us a special treat in an Excel sheet that allows you to create your own teams! Please be sure to share any created teams with the rest of us! ;)

As always, you can grab these files in the download area.

Wrestler Update for Face to the mat
Keith has created new wrestlers for his outstanding game, Face to the Mat. Here is a press release:

The long-awaited update of FACE TO THE MAT's "Current Stars 2003" set is HERE! You'll get individual cards based on 96 of today's top wrestling entertainers! Included are the wrestlers you see each week on network and cable TV! PLUS you'll get cards representing the top valets, managers, women stars--even the commissioners and "assistants!" The cards are rated based on the most recent pro wrestling activity, allowing you to create your OWN wrestling story line with today's biggest stars!

Due to licensing restrictions, we can't list their names here, but if you follow pro wrestling, YOU'LL be VERY familiar with this roster of heroes and villains! The cards themselves are presented in a "fill-in-the-blank" style which allows you to plug in the missing letters with the real stars, OR change their names and invent your OWN stars!

The new "Current Stars 2003" Wrestler Card Set is NOW AVAILABLE and sells for $10 postage-paid.

At $10 for the set, you can't go wrong. If you'd like to know the identities of the wrestlers, click the "read more" link. ;) You can purchase the update here.

 NASCAR Grandstand Better Info!
Here is some better information regarding the updates to NASCAR Grandstand. Dave, asked me to make the post yesterday because I'm low-key. However, I think in this case, I was a little to low-key. Here is the info:

NASCAR GRANDSTAND Board Game Version 1.7 - We have added the complete 1997 NASCAR Winston Cup season. Every driver who raced in 1997 is carded in this set. Big thanks to Ron Arnst for rating the drivers for us!

NASCAR GRANDSTAND AUTOPLAY Version 1.2 - When this file is uploaded, look for the following features:

 • 1997 NASCAR Winston Cup season - Just like the board game, AutoPlay has the newly rated 1997 NASCAR Winston Cup yearbook inside. That's even BETTER with some of the other new features below.
 • HISTORICAL STARTING GRIDS Now Available for ALL Seasons - Now, instead of choosing drivers on your own for each as to who will start, for every race for the 1997 season up through the most current 2002 season, you can instead choose to use the SAME field of drivers who raced that race in real life that year. A Big Bonus to replayers! But that's NOT ALL! You also have TWO options on how you want to use the Historical Starting Grids. You can run them starting in the exact same order as they started in real life OR you can use the same field of drivers but still put them through qualifying. Of course, the options to totally select your OWN field of drivers for all races is still there!
 • QUICK QUALIFYING Feature - Want to do Qualifying but tired of click click clicking that mouse button? Just use the new Quick Qualifying button to qualify the whole field with just one touch of a button!
 • COLOR CODED SCORESHEETS - Now, not only are driver's names in their usual colors and Pit Stop turns in yellow, but we now have special Race Highlight Coloring. Every accident, every mechanical failure, every +15 or -15 gain, every big mover on the Pit Stop turns (+25, -25 through -200), is now highlighted in a unique color on the scoresheet. Wondering which Lap Segment things fell apart for your driver? Wondering how that guy climbed from 38th to 6th place? Who came through in the clutch? Now you can tell at a glance. I think you'll really LOVE this one!
 • SEASON WORKBOOK RESET Button Added - Once you finish a complete season, or even before, if you wish to just restart a season, this handy new button on the season workbook standings sheet will let you reset your Season Workbook so you can start a brand new season with a clean workbook!

 NASCAR Grandstand Updated
Dave Arlington and Mike Glaze have been busy! Both NASCAR Grandstand and the automated version have been updated.

Here are a few of the changes:

Mike added Historical Starting Grids for all supported seasons. You can run the original races with the same drivers starting right where they started the real life race OR pick the same set of drivers but qualify them yourself. Also the 1997 season was added. And an option to reset the yearbook after you finish a season in case you want to use it again for a new season. AND a quick qualifying option.

Make sure you give this game a look. It's the best tabletop racing game going.

 Downloads Galore!!!
I've added over 200 new files to download today. We also had someone submit several SOM football seasons over the weekend.

I'm confident that this is now the largest repository for tabletop games.

Check out the new downloads! They span a wide variety of games.
