Hi,

I wanted to make sure I was playing it correctly. If lets say using the example in the instructions, if lets say Bob Cousy does not play does the player listed below him move up a slot or do you simply if adjustments for that player slot come up you skip over it?

Assuming that Cousy is the first player on the roster sheet. If he does not play, you move to the next player on the roster sheet. If he plays, he will be in "slot 1".

so that would go with subsequent spots also? Like if roster spot 4 does not play but #5 does he would move up? Sorry just want to make sure I am playing it correctly.

When checking for active rosters, you start by rolling for the first listed player on the team chart, and work down from there...right?

Yes. You can also use actual lineups from a real life game if you're doing a replay.

If using "as played", and more than 10 played that night....I guess you would just use the top ten minutes played, right?

You can use any criteria that you want, minutes, points, etc.

I have a replay of the '72-73 Sixers going on. Teams in that era rarely used more than 10 players. I limit the rosters in that replay to 10, generally using points scored to determine who sits since minutes weren't tracked back then.

There is another recent thread where this issue was discussed. The more players that are used, the more likely it is that some player(s) will have to have their Scoring Rolls reduced. But, as someone from Downey Games pointed out in that thread, over a full season the impact to any one player will likely be minimal. As with all of the games in our hobby, the object is to have fun so play it the way that you want.
