Sorry to bother you with this rudimentary question, but I'm having a memory lapse. I've recently returned to Mean Gene's Match-up Football, and while everything about resolving plays has come back to me very quickly, there are two points that have not, and I can't seem to find the answers in the manual or by scanning the forum.
Both involve the Team Sheets:
How does the Defensive Rating come into play? And what does the large number in the middle indicate? I know this sounds silly, but I just cannot recall.
For example, Pittsburgh 1968 has a Defensive Rating of -2. Above it and over the Fumble Rating is a large 0.
If anyone could explain their uses, I'd appreciate it.
Best,
Tom H. |

The large number in the middle is Home Field points that can be used to their advantage. This is explained on the last page of the rules.
The defensive rating is subtracted from the opponents fumble rating if you are using the new fumble system.
Did this help ? |
