2015 Nations Cup
The 2015 Nations Cup is a series of strokeplay events that will be conducted using the recently released 2015 European Tour set for POTG Golf.
Format
16 teams of 4 players, by country, separated into 4 groups of 4. Teams will be seeded based on the cumulative total of the 4 members final ranking in the 2015 Race to Dubai. The Race to Dubai is the European Tour equivalent of the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup.
The top 4 seeded teams will each be placed into a separate group, A, B, C, D. Similar to the way the player groupings were done at the recent WGC Matchplay Event, the remaining 12 teams will be broken into groups of 4 (5-8, 9-12, 13-16) and one team from each of those groups will be randomly assigned to either Group A, B, C, or D.
Scoring
Points awared as follows: Each team will earn points based on it's cumulative score for each round, as well as it's cumulative 72 Hole total. The lowest team total will receive 4 points, graduating down to the highest team total receiving 1 point. This equates to a maximum of 20 points (4 x 5), and minimum of 5 points (1 x 5), possible at each course.
Each group will play 4 Courses, 72 Holes at each. The team from each group with the most points after those 4 Courses have been played will advance to the Finals, where they will play a series of 4 Courses with the other Group winners to determine the 2015 Nations Cup Champion.
Courses
Each group will play courses that hosted a 2015 European Tour event in the countries that make up each group. 3 of the 16 countries did not host a 2015 European Tour event, Australia, Ireland, and Wales. Course assignments for those countries will be made with a course in close proximity.

2015 Nations Cup
Group A
Course 1 - British Masters (71)
Day 1
3 of the 4 teams finished under par, with England (274) and the USA (274) both claiming 4 points for their -10 score. Germany (281) took 2 points for coming in at -3, with Wales (291) bringing up the rear, getting just 1 point for their +7 total.
The low individual score was carded by Paul Peterson (65) who made the most of a -(SD) roll to finish at -6. Oliver Farr (75) recorded the high round of the day, ending at +4.

2015 Nations Cup
Group B
Course 1 - South African Open Championship (72)
Day 1
A difficult scoring day as all 4 teams finished over par. Only 1 individual score was under par, with 1 other at even par. The remaining 14 scorecards all reflected a + score. Just 3 strokes separated the top 3 teams, with Denmark (292) taking 4 points for their +4 total, as each Dane ended with a 1 over par 73. Australia (294) claimed 3 points, while the #1 seed in the Group, South Africa (295), took 2 points. India (301) received 1 point for their +13 effort.
Richard Green (70) carded the low individual round of the day after getting a great result on a Putting skill check. Branden Grace (72) was the only other competitor to not end the day over par. Andrew Dodt (76), S.S.P. Chawrasia (76), and Jeev Milkha Singh (76) tied for the highest score at +4.

2015 Nations Cup
Group C
Course 1 - Nordea Masters (72)
Day 1
3 strokes separated each spot in the team scoring. Northern Ireland (282) took 4 points with only 2 team members finishing under par, as their -6 total was 3 strokes better than Sweden (285). Adding 3 more strokes was Spain (288), who claimed 2 points for ending the day even. 3 more strokes found Italy (291) at the bottom, receiving 1 point for their +3 total.
Slightly more than half of the individual scores (9 of 16) were under par. Graeme McDowell (68) turned a BD result into the low round of the day at -4. At the other end of the spectrum, Alessandro Tadini (77) went the other way with a BD result, carding the highest round of the day at +5.

2015 Nations Cup
Group D
Course 1 - Alstom Open de France (71)
Day 1
A day that was very unkind to scorecards as evidenced by a team score of +9 finishing in the lead. France (293) and Thailand (293) tied for the top spot at +9, earning each team 4 points. Ireland (296) claimed 2 points for their +12 total, with Scotland (299) ending the day at the bottom, receiving 1 point for their +15 finish.
There were no individual scores under par and just one at even par. Low round of the day was carded by Victor Dubuisson (71) who finished Even. Scotland had the wrong type of daily double as they had 2 team members tied for the high score, with Marc Warren (77) and Stephen Gallacher (77) both ending up with a +6 on their scorecard. Warren's score was courtesy of a poor result on a Fairway skill check, while Gallacher could blame a +SD roll.
