Hi,
I wanted to make sure I am playing it correctly. If you roll for an adjustment for an individual player and the dice roll for example is a 9 and you have only 8 players. Is that roll counted or do you reroll to get a number of a player in the game.

Are you referring to an Adjusted Scoring Roll, or a roll for Point Adjustments ? |

Walter,
Adjusted Scoring Rolls must be applied so if you roll on an empty roster spot you would need to roll again. (remember, only 1 Scoring Roll Adjustment per player at this stage of the pregame setup)
When rolling for Point Adjustments (plus or minus) and you land on an empty roster spot, the roll counts as a roll but the point adjustments do not get applied. Think of them as lost opportunities for either the offense or defense.

Adjusted scoring rolls are covered on Page 6 of the rules.
This is when you make adjustments due to the Target Score.
Point Adjustments are made due to the opponent's Defensive ratings. |

thanks,
so the only adjusted scoring rolls is comparing the target score vs. Game score and make adjustments accordingly? If you are playing with the advanced rules, wouldn't game pace and transfer be considered scoring rolls?
Is Point adjustments only for Defense and HCA?

Walter,
The Target score adjustments (if any) are handled first. Pace is an optional rule and those adjustments would come after making any Target adjustments. Remember, the number of adjustments per player in the Target and Pace phases are different
Transfer does not alter a team's total Scoring Rolls, it alters a player's total Scoring Rolls.
