Anyone actively playing Baseball Manager currently? I just wanted to see if anyone was doing anything with the game. I've had the itch and gotten it out recently.

I have the game with the '59 ratings and some famous teams.I like the simplicity and quick play features of the game.I have tried rating other teams but it takes me a lot of time to get through the formulas in the book. I thought Jeff was trying to bring it back but haven't heard anything recently.

Jeff has had some ill health that has pushed projects back and, in truth, I can be a bit of an impatient person when it comes to a product that generates excitement in me. I have an excel file for doing teams where you need to enter the data but the program does the math.

I will try to post the 53 Dodgers I just did recently.

Just added the 1919 White Sox and 1914 Braves. More to follow; I have a bunch done on notebook paper, in process of transitioning them over to Excel. Have some done in Excel sheet, minus the additional data, ie, GP, Bat, Throw, L or R, etc. (in other words, they just have the player names and ratings).

I just posted a team but not the guts of the program I used. It was given to me and I never asked if it was OK to share it. I'll need to check.

Rick, I look forward to seeing all Dodger teams that you do. I will try, soon, posting a season.

Is there any more information on this game? like a dedicated forum or a link to a website? How is base stealing handled in the game?

Thanks .

Not that I know of. You can bet there will be one here if the new version gets released by Jeff.

I can't offer 2oo bucks or anything like that. But anytime I ask anyone for a copy or a copy of the copy of Baseball Manager-- I get the sound of silence.

Any chance for a copy pf a copy of a copy of Baseball Manager?

Carlos

It really isn't that unusual to not find copies of a game that ceased production a long time ago. But it seems that someone still owns the rights to it so I would guess that means many people, and rightfully so, aren't anxious to sell or otherwise distribute copies.

Carlos , gosh I wish I had visited the site a little sooner because about 3 weeks ago I had sold my mint copy of the game on eBay. I had it since 1982 and it was in my sports games collection, but only played it a few times and was not that thrilled about it as you seem to be. I have played or owned just about every Baseball Game that came out from 1975-1995, it was an expensive hobby to collect them as I look back now as even my wife does not know how much I had spent on all my sports games. I have only kept Statis Pro Baseball, Sherco Baseball and Calcu Ball from the last 20 years now left in my collection. Keep looking on ebay if nobody else steps up . I wished I had been back to the site sooner for you Carlos.
