14 of America's fastest 2-lappers took to the track for the 800m US trials for an opportunity to run for the National team. The results, top 3 will represent the US at the International Championships.

1:43.00 Gray
1:44.03 Everett
1:44.37 Wohlhuter
1:44.51 KRobinson
1:44.85 JRobinson
1:45.03 Krummenacker
1:45.11 Mack
1:45.13 Symmonds
1:45.50 Kersh
1:45.75 O Clark
1:46.34 Kenah
1:46.84 Redwine
1:47.70 Wottle
1:47.93 Primm

Gray put an exclamation mark on his performance with a BLISTERING 2nd lap to win easily! He will be hard pressed to bring home a medal but is battle tested in big meets so medal of any color will NOT be a huge surprise; though the Kenyans may have a say or 3 in the matter...

The results of the African Continental 100m Championships:

1 9.90 FredericksNAM
2 10.00 Obikwelu NGR
3 10.01 Aziz-Zakari GHA
4 10.03 Ezinwa NGR
5 10.04 Nkansah GHA

7 10.16 Fasuba NGR
8 10.18 Zirignon CIV
9 10.30 Cooper LBR
10 10.31 Makusha ZIM

Fredericks was the strong favorite coming in, and didn't disappoint. With the upcoming 200m his specialty, a double gold for the Namibian is almost a lock!

The results of the African Continental 200m Championships (no surprise here):

1 19.89 FredericksNAM
2 20.15 Buckland MRI
3 20.21 Adeniken NGR
4 20.23 Effiong NGR
5 20.23 Obikwelu NGR
6 20.25 Dzingai ZIM
7 20.47 Loum SEN
8 20.50 BatangdonCMR
9 20.73 Louahla ALG

Fredericks delivered another gold, as promised, winning quite easily, with silver medal projection and double citizen Obikwelu finishing a disappointing 5th. Obikwelu will represent Portugal at the Euro Championships. Buckland was a distant 2nd but closed well to edge Adeniken.

The 400m race will provide plenty of competition with 5 sub-44.3 athletes entered...

The results of the African Continental 400m Championships:

1 44.28 Kikaya COD
2 44.41 Egbunike NGR
3 44.51 Kitur KEN
4 44.76 Simpson BRN
5 44.81 Tiacoh CIV
6 44.83 Ochieng KEN
7 44.84 Bada NGR
8 44.98 Kamoga UGA
9 45.04 Milazar MRI
10 46.23 Louahla ALG

In a much anticipated event, Kikaya jumped out to a substantial early lead, and neither co-favorites Egbunike nor Kitur could answer and had to settle for silver and bronze respectively.

The 800m will most likely be dominated by the Kenyans, the bright side being that a maximum 3 athletes from each country may race. However, a 1-2-3 sweep is a definite possibilty!

Results of the Carribean 100m Championships:

1 9.82 Bolt JAM
2 9.84 Powell JAM
3 9.92 Boldon TRI
4 9.93 Martina AHO
5 9.97 Thompson BAR
6 9.99 Bailey ANT

9 10.00 Carter JAM
10 10.01 Thompson TRI
11 10.06 Streete-Thompson CAY

Bolt didn't get out well but neither did Powell, and Usain had just enough to hold off his fellow countryman. Boldon led the "2nd pack", keeping Martina at bay, getting the lean and nabbing the last remaining medal.

All this sounds great, and I've been "tuning-in" to this thread for over six months...

BUT...have you released it yet, and if so, where can we get it?

Any images of sample cards/charts available?

The game sounds like a real winner and fills in a substantial gap in tabletop sports gaming.

Partial results of the South American Games championships, with the HIGHEST-FARTHEST-FASTEST game:

100m

1 10.13 da Silva BRA
2 10.18 Keitel CHI
3 10.28 Viera URU
4 10.29 Gats ARG
5 10.33 Allen GUY
6 10.38 Quiñonez ECU
7 10.38 Alberg SUR
8 10.48 Rojas BOL
9 10.50 Ollarves VEN
10 10.52 Acevedo PER
11 10.55 Ferreira PAR
12 10.85 Palomeque COL
--- 10.22 de Barros BRA
--- 10.33 Simón ARG
--- 10.48 Gilkes GUY

Only 1 athlete from each country was eligible to score team points, in the order of fairness to the less talent laden nations. Brazil, with depth in addition to its vast supply of talent, will still dominate this meet.

200m

1 20.08 da Silva BRA
2 20.39 Gilkes GUY
3 20.41 Keitel CHI
4 20.46 Quiñonez ECU
5 20.56 Viera URU
6 20.69 Gats ARG
7 20.92 Ollarves VEN
8 20.99 Acevedo PER
9 21.13 Palomeque COL
10 21.47 Maidana PAR
11 21.61 Rojas BOL
12 21.63 Monsels SUR
--- 20.22 da Silva BRA
--- 20.28 de Barros BRA
--- 20.49 da Silva BRA
--- 21.03 Allen GUY

The da Silvas put on quite a show, in winning their respective races very convincingly..

Points tallied on a 12-11-10-9- etc basis. After 2 events Brazil leads with 24 points, followed by Chile with 21 and Guyana with 19.

400m is next, Brazil has some studs in that event as well....

South American Championships, 400m. Brazil looks tough in all events!

44.51 Parrela BRA
45.46 Silva URU
46.00 Acevedo PER
46.26 Mezones VEN
46.39 Mosquera COL
46.67 Roach CHI
46.72 Stanley PAR
46.85 Aguirre ARG
46.90 Jones GUY
47.10 Perlaza ECU
47.55 Asinga SUR
48.58 Iglesias BOL

non scoring
45.31 Henriques BRA
45.52 da Silva BRA
45.98 de Sena BRA
46.50 Palma VEN
46.63 Ramírez VEN
46.64 Aguilar VEN
46.72 Longart VEN
46.74 Palomeque COL
46.83 Acevedo VEN
47.55 Valoyes COL
47.70 Rodriguez COL
49.25 Ollarves VEN

Brazil's Parrela won the event by almost a full second, demonstrating the dominance of his country. 4 of the top 5 spots were taken by Brazil, counting in the non scoring athletes. It will be interesting to see if they can sweep EVERY event!

Next up is the 800m. I predict yet another victory for Brazil in this event as well.

Brazil on the merit of its 4 1st places, leads with 48 points, followed by Chile with 38 and Guyana with 31.

Next up the 1500.
