Post subject: Zig Ziglar On Lessons Learned From Billy Miske's Last Fight  PostPosted: Dec 20, 2010 - 10:17 PM

Motivational speaker and author Zig Ziglar discussed Billy Miske's last fight in his book entitled See You At The Top (pages 331-332). Against all odds, Miske won a bout versus Bill Brennan in 1923 while suffering from Bright’s Disease to provide for Christmas and savings for his family. Sadly, Miske died 55 days later at the age of 29 on January 1, 1924, at St. Paul, Minnesota, from the Bright's illness.

Quoting the book "His (Miske's) pride and desire to be at his best for the family he loved, drove him to unbelievable efforts. Bill Brennan was knocked out in four rounds. Miske tapped his reserve resources because of his desire to win. Your reserves are available too - when you have the desire to use them." (Page. 332 - click here to read portions of the book).

P.P.S. I recommend for your reading See You At The Top. Reading and adopting the principles of this book will change your life.

Farewell Zig Ziglar...

Zig Ziglar passed away last week. He was one of my favorite motivational speakers/authors. I still have tapes of his motivational programs. His teaching and inspiration will go on.
