Hey Dave Barton,
Last night I pulled out Retro MACW and played off 9 matches....I had a blast! Saw "MA Title" passed off from BJ Mulligan after two title defenses against Chris Champion with #1 Paul Jones in his corner(Jones threw salt at BJ, missed, hit Champion and Mulligan pinned), then BJ walloped Jones in a strap match. Then I pitted Jack Brisco against Mulligan and Brisco won, then out of a monkeys hair, I had Jerry Brisco challenge his brother Jack for the title in a very bizzare ending.....Jerry got disqualified for repeated low blows....

How is that for excitement...... and it's been over a year since I pulled it out for a series of matches.

Underrated but one of the better games, Dave!

I agree. You can find a wide selection of bootlegs for Retro Wrestling at http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/retroplex/

I have checked out the bootlegs and found a few wrestlers that I liked. I, however liked the wrestlers from the 60's and 70's such as Fred Blassie, John Tolos, The Original Shiek, etc.

I probably can make bootlegs using my own knowledge but finishers for some is not known to me.

Thanks,

Edward R. Meek

As always, the praise is much appreciated! And as I've said before, the key to RWG's success is that I created the wrestling game I always wanted to play, but didn't exist yet!

I'm working hard during my downtime to bring to life a Golden Age set of wrestlers from the 50's & 60's. Its getting there!

Dave,

I remembered how difficult it was getting the proper background information on some of these guys. You got a lot of help but there was stuff that was either missing or not known. No matter how big or small the set is, it will be a hot seller. What you can do, the ones that you have created or is done, release that as an old timers set one and work on others.....this will give some individuals their fix on some of the wrestlers they have heard about and read about but never seen on tv.

Dave, just so you know. I have learned to appreciate your game so much more. I collect games as a hobby. Your system is not only simple once you use it a few times, but opens up a line of imagination that is quite nice.

I wish I had more than just the GCW and WWWF cards. Now that it isnt sold to my knowledge anymore.

Am I correct in thinking in addition to wrestler and tag team cards there was also an ally card? If yes, could someone post the layout of the ally card? Muchas gracias...

Each wrestler has an Ally rating, for use when acting as an Ally (aka manager). Even managers have a wrestler-style card, in case they end up in a match with a wrestler (such as Crusher taking on Bobby Heenan, for instance).

That's sort of what I thought, but wanted to make sure. Thanks for all your help during this hectic time. I appreciate the time you took to get me set up.
