Hi,

Was wondering how people who play GIW, handles the solitaire play calling for the basic version, and for the modern teams who tend to pass more than run. I see the charts that come with the game tend to be more 50/50 split.

Hi Walter -

The college all-time greats sets come with 4 different solitaire play-calling charts to reflect the variety in styles of offense. They are Balanced, Pass Heavy, Rush, and Rush Heavy. Even though these were designed for the college sets, I use them playing pro games as well.

I suppose this doesn't help you if you do not have an all-time greats college set, but this is what I do. If you are left with solely the chart that comes with the game parts, you could ignore the "1st Down" column and use just the "2nd or 3rd Down" columns for those offenses that pass more.

Thanks Bill,

For the response. I will look into that. I was thinking was possibly just tweeking the basic solo play chart a bit to accommodate the teams that pass alot more than run. I will definitely look into your suggestion.
