I posted this on Delphi but no response so far, so I thought I would try it here too:

To all: I have a question regarding POTG to make sure I am doing this correctly. When adjusting a player's SCOR rating during the first phase of the ratings adjustments, a given player can only be adjusted once, either up or down, correct? in other words, if a team has to make two rolls to reduce the SCOR ratings and the first roll is assigned to the player in slot 1, then that player can't get another negative rating in this phase. That's my understanding.

Moving to the optional game pace rule, I read this as a player can have up to two additional adjustments to his SCOR rating. (page 13 of the rules). So, going back to my example above, let's say the player in slot 1 had an original SCOR rating of 4. He loses one from the initial adjustment I described in the first paragraph, bringing him down to 3. Then, as the luck of the roll would have it, his team loses 2 more rolls due to the game pace and he is the recipient of both rolls. So, he would lose two more points bringing his score to a 1. Is that right?

Finally, in the transfer section, I am assuming I would apply the same parameters as the pace rule. So, that player, if he got really unlucky, could get another negative due to the transfer roll and go down to a zero.

Are these scenarios correct or am I reading it wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Tony

Tony,

I believe you are 100% correct in your reading of the rules (although there are a ton of POTG Basketball players here, so someone will correct me if I'm wrong).

I haven't played POTG Basketball in a long while, but I do remember this and you are correct in your interpretation.

Thanks Dave. I haven't been able to play a game since I posted the question but hopefully will get to a few this weekend.
