Forum,
I am in the process of replaying the 79-80 playoffs. I was going to resume my 09-10 Minnesota Wild regular season (with the incredable signings of Parise and Suter...when does Toews contract come up?), but I misplaced the first 12 games of the season of the season that I completed (chemo brain?). Maybe down the road I will replay the games I misplaced or I will find were I put them.
Here are the preliminary round match-ups, all best of 5:
Atlanta Flames vs. N.Y.Rangers
St. Louis Blues vs. Chicago Blackhawks
Toronto Mapleleafs vs. Minnesota North Stars
Los Angeles Kings vs. New York Islanders
Hartford Whalers vs. Montreal Canadiens
Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Boston Bruins
Edmonton Oilers vs. Philadelphia Flyers
Vancouver Canucks vs. Buffalo Sabres
For each series I will use the best line-up for each team, ie. Guy Lafleur only played 3 games during the playoffs, he will play all games that the Canadiens play. But I will not use players that were traded during the season that are not carded for their new team. For example, Butch Goring N.Y.I. and Rick Vaive Tor.
Coming up: Game #1 - Atlanta @ N.Y. Rangers
