I am currently working on the 1969 pro football season using Advanced QP Football. The plan is to use 1969 as a base line for a soccer style regulation league. The bottom four tems in the NFL move to the AFL for 1970 and the four playoff teams from the AFL move up to the NFL. Starting in 1970. I'll use UQ Football for the lesser league, and QP for the NFL. So far, I just completed the AFL season, and the NFL still has a week left on the regular sked. The results were pretty close to the actual standings.

AFL Final Standings
Real
New York 12-2-0
Houston 7-5-2

Boston 4-8-2
Buffalo 3-11-0
Miami 3-11-0

West
Oakland 13-1-0
Kansas City 9-3-2

San Diego 6-6-2
Denver 4-9-1
Cincinnati 4-10-0

The Dallas Cowboys go 14-0-0 to win the Capital Division. What a great run. In their final game they defeated the Washington Redskins 45-13. They will face the Cleveland Browns (10-3-1)to start the playoffs. The Chicago Bears were winless at 0-13-1. Crying or Very sad

The AFL playoffs started with a bang, with the Houston Oilers upsetting the Oakland Raiders 23-17. It all came down to a final drive for the Raiders, but their drive stalled on the Houston 11 yard linewith just seconds to go.
In the other game, Kansas City Chiefs defeated the New York Jets 27-13

I am a lifelong Minnesota Vikings fan. Being born and raised in Minneapolis, I was 6 years old when the Minnesota Vikings were created. The 1969 season Super Bowl loss to the KC Chiefs was a heartbreaker for that 14 year kid. I won't mention the other Super Bowl losses. Crying or Very sad But now in the new NFL Regulation League the Vikings sit on top after defeating the KC Chiefs 17-3. Yup, Hank Stram, it looked like your team was having a Chinese Fire Drill! Bud Grant was to classy to say something like that. Cool

NFL Conference Games
Cleveland Browns 18
Dallas Cowboys 29

Los Angeles Rams 17
Minnesota Vikigs 35

AFL Championship Game
Kansas City Chiefs 52
Houston Oilers 10

NFL Championship Game
Dallas Cowboys 9
Minnesota Vikings 30

Super Bowl IV
Minnesota Vikings 17
Kansas City Chiefs 3

This replay was done with Quick Play Football found in the download section. In the Ultra Quick from Downey Games the "N" is for cross era play.

From the rules:
**Normalization for Cross-Era Play**
When playing teams that competed in different seasons, you simply substitute the N-OFF and NDEF
ratings for the OFF and DEF Ratings. All NFL seasons have been normalized to give you
accurate results with as little bias as possible.
