In National Championship, you direct the Division I team of your choice.
You can hire and fire coordinators, recruit, make your own schedule, implement offensive and defensive systems, even get fired - and there are tons more features and decisions to make, including a weekly Top Twenty
poll, 14 bowl games, even a national playoff system if you choose.
The scope of this game does not include playcalling, but rather views college football from the standpoint of an administrative head coach beginning with the 1994 college football season.
You choose game strategies in a text environment. You can play an entire National Championship campaign in approximately 30-45 minutes.
NOTE: I tested this with Windows 98 and it worked fine. It's text-only, no graphics of any type.
When it first appeared on this site in 2003, here's what was said:
"Tommy Rewis was kind enough to allow us to host his wonderful game, National Championship Football.
"The game is written in QBASIC, and shouldn't give anyone any problems installing. Give it a try, I think you'll love it as much as I do."
